Hi... if someone could please take a look at my sons chart and our synastry charts it would be much appreciated. My 7 year old son Harry seems to have a lot of difficulties in his life, as i sit here writing its very hard to pinpoint exactly what i perceive to be his main problems, but i could probably start by saying that he can be a very depressed child, its very difficult to reason with him or try to explain the opinions of other people, its not that he is incapable of understanding... quite the opposite in fact, his teachers say he is very clever, with a particular understanding of maths. Things werent easy for us when he was born and its fair to say his early life was very unsettled. He finds it very difficult to make and KEEP friends, he said to me only the other day that he thinks he is a bad person. This obviously hurts to hear, and i start thinking of times when maybe iv been a little too harsh in telling him off and maybe im responsible. When i think sensibly about it though, i realise that my other son, who is 9, doesnt have these problems at all so it cant be me.. can it?! Harry seems to have a better relationship mith my mum than me, so i wonder if we just arent as compatible as myself and my other son. I know that Aries and Scorpio can have a tempestuous relationship, but my husband is also a Scorpio with Leo moon, just the same as my son, yet its completely different. Please one of you knowledgable people give me some insight on my son, and also our relationship.. I want to help him. Thanks in advance x

Cant seem to attatch the charts from my files, how do you do it? if anyone wants to look for themselves my sons details are 31st october 1999 @ 3.43am Oxford England

For the synastry chart my details are
16th April 1981 @ 10.20am Oxford England

will post charts when iv learnt how!

I tried the same...

You can't add pictures. You can copy paste (but that didn't work for me) OR (and that did work) put them online with www.photobucket.com ... you add the picture from your computer, the site loads. You then click the link provided for you and put that link in your message. People can then click it to see the picture!

Good luck...

please can someome look at this? It does kind of get to me that no one is really interested in replying to some peoples questions.. unless people get to talk about themselves that is. This isnt true of all people on this site but its a pattern that i have nonetheless noticed. Lots of people ask for help and advice because they dont have the depth of understanding that some of you do, but quite often i note that they dont get answers. I thought this was a site where people would share knowledge and help eachother out..

First and foremost, I'm a Scorpio/Leo Moon too so some of the things (finding it difficult to keep friends, not so much as makes, and how he thinks he's a bad person, difficult to make him see other opinions), I find quite familiar. Telling off isn't so much a good thing (it strongly wounds the ego and can lead to resentment, at least in my experience), but definitely put him in his place. Or he can grow up to be a tyrannical little handful, like I did

What I noticed first was his Libra AC. Normally, you may read that Libra AC natives make friends very easily and are quite social and outgoing. Very true this is part of your son's nature, but what I noticed is that his AC ruler (Venus in Virgo) is in the 12th house of sorrow, suppression, and hidden things. Being a Libra AC, he wants to not only make friends, but have people like him and generally accept his as a well-natured and kind person. His image is everything to him. Venus in the 12th, makes it painfully difficult for him to come to terms with who he is as a person, and to express his personality fully. He may continually doubt his self-worth (Venus is also the ruler of the 2nd house of value &self-worth) and feel like he's not good enough. The sign Virgo is modifying Venus, therefore it adds as twist of modesty, shyness, and more doubt to his personality. He probably comes down on himself very hard and in his head, he picks at all the little things and reasons why he can't keep friends, tearing his "self" apart with judgments and criticisms. Leo Moons are extremely sensitive to things like this. You need to continually reinforce him with good feelings, "Honey you're so smart, you're so wonderful", in order to strengthen his confidence and self-concept so he can begin to accept himself more and feel more comfortable in his own skin.

We all know about Sun in Scorpio, he's got tremendous personal power and strength. And he's so so very sensitive. Oversensitive even. In the 2nd house, it makes him continually focus around what he's worth and how important he is to himself, you, and everyone else. I don't believe in "afflictions" but he's got many hard aspects to his Sun, meaning that these are issues he deals with continually. His self-expression which is greatly tied to how "important/worthy" he feels, is faced with challenges from the Moon (general insecurity, who he *thinks* he is as a person ..his ego, and what he needs from you and others to feel satisfied are at odds with each other). An opposition from Saturn/8th leaves him feeling dreadfully doubtful and isecure about his own abilities and inhibits his self-expression due to feelings of not being good enough. He may feel everyone else is more important and may (not so much put them on a pedestal) but put himself below them. An opposition from Jupiter which shows that deep down, he's got an adventurous and optimistic nature, he's got the ability to have great confidence but he may expect way too much from himself and may overesteem the influence/worthiness of others. The Uranus/5th square makes him highly independent and inclined to always want to do what he wants. He's headstrong, and he's got very strong opinions on things already. He's got a rebellious streak (possibly rebelling for the sheer sake of doing so because it may give him enjoyment or a sense of confidence/power) that should be watched. The Sun/Neptune square can leave him confused about himself, his purpose, and who he wants to be. He may be easily influenced by the attitudes and opinions of others...and he's very sensitive...and may tend to manifest certain problems within himself that become projected onto others... (No one likes me, no one understands me...can also be i'm not comfortable with myself, i don't understand my self as well)

The Scorpio/Leo pull in particular is the person feeling like they are in absolute control, don't need anyone, and can handle things themself...at odds with their needs for attention, recognition and praise. It's like a "I don't need you but look at what I did! Aren't you happy?! Look at me! No stop looking at me and leave me alone, of course I could do it! But aren't you proud!" kind of thing.

On top of all that with a cherry, his SUN is SINGLETON....which gives an extreme feeling of self-importance and self-focus. There is an exaggerated need for attention and praise. Do not insult him as part of discipline, cuz he'll never forget and it'll influence and damage his view of himself/psyche. He may already feel important, but he wants someone to acknowledge this and *make* him feeling important. He needs to express his full self, unrestricted, without judgment in order to be fully contented. Throw his Moon in the 10th into that and this need is amplified by 600.

As his Mother, and the Moon in the 10th house, you are extremely important in his life. Especially with where he goes in his future (Moon/NN conjunction)

The importance of his father is reflected in his 8th house. Aside from being the same signs, Saturn in the 8th shows a profound and deep connection with the father.

Mercury/Chiron/Pluto can lead to paranoid thoughts and perceptions based off amplified and misconstructed perceptions. He's sharp as a tack though, and as long as you work at teaching him to see things at face value (Everyone DOESNT hate you...they just don't know you) that should develop.

Uranus conjunct SN makes rebellion and autonomy something he's used to and probably very good at. But the Influence of other planets that are more dependent by nature will most likely draw him away from that

That's all I got for now. He's very fixed. He's going to be strong willed, with strong opinions. You may never change that streak in him thats unwilling to accept anyones viewpoint but his own. But you can teach him to become more open-minded. Taht Sagittarius Mercury and Libra AC should help him vacilliate between the big picture and see both sides. You should...encourage him to put himself in another's shoes

That's all I got for now.

I dont know what to say... Thankyou so much Alanabelle...Everything you said is so right. He is quite often at war with himself (it comes across like its war with everyome else but really i think alot of it is inside), and he finds it almost impossible to see anybody elses viewpoint.. which, being an Aries is very hard to take. Sometimes i try to 'overpower' him and make him do as i say, or listen to me no matter what... and it never works. The shouting just gets louder and louder until its screaming - from both of us. Im so not proud of that, which is why i wanted to be able to treat him with more understanding, instead of frustration.
So, i thank you again for taking the time to look at his chart and help me understand him.
I know im probably taking the p now.. but if you ever get a chance to look at the synastry that would be fantastic, i would love to hear your pearls of wisdom!

hey missmars
since i'm a novice at this i'll just pass the info i found on the net to u...i just googled ur son's aspects...here goes..

sun square moon:
What people who were born with Sun square Moon in their natal charts want and what they need are in conflict. The Sun square Moon aspect is similar to the Sun opposition Moon aspect in this sense, but there are very notable differences. Whereas the struggle between wants and needs is mostly played out on the inside and through significant relationships with Sun opposition Moon people, Sun square Moon people tend to confront obstacles that come from the outside. In truth, the struggle is within, as it is a case of being "one's own worst enemy". There can be a tendency to attract challenging situations into the life as an unconscious attempt to recreate the tension of early childhood. As well, specific habits and attitudes can hamper their progress in life.

These people generally have a need to achieve and accomplish something important, and they act out their internal struggle along the way. For whatever reason, these people didn't feel needed or accepted. The clash between their parents or parent figures, if indeed there was one, made them feel unaccepted for who they were, and there can be a very real drive to prove themselves to the world (and/or to the parents). The parents may not have simply been opposite personalities, as is the case with Sun opposition Moon. It is more likely that their relationship was a continual struggle. Sun square Moon individuals internalized the tension in the cosmic air that they were born into, and felt out of place as a result. In some cases, they literally felt unwanted by one or both parents. Even if the parents didn't clash, the early life was likely to have been over-stimulating and tense, causing the child to feel insecure.

These people experience a struggle between their need for nurture and their need for independence. When they get the autonomy that they seem to crave, they feel unsupported by others. When they receive the support they crave, they feel smothered. This internal clash is most apparent in the relationships they form, especially in the first half of their lives when they may not be aware of these patterns. Confrontations and challenges are frequent--not just with romantic partners, but also on the job, with friends, and so forth. However, these people have a lot of drive and spunk. They are resilient creatures who have faced conflict and who have survived it. Although they face a struggle with fluctuating energy, they are motivated to accomplish something. Ideally, they learn through experience to accomplish something for themselves rather than to prove their worth to others.

Some Famous People with Sun Square Moon: Geena Davis, Michael Douglas, Ricky Martin.

Sun square or opposition Uranus
The ego is quite large when the Sun is square or opposite Uranus. This is largely due to the fact that these people's very identities ride on their sense of personal freedom. It can be quite a challenge to get them to do what they don't want to do, simply because they see any attempts to push them in a certain direction as threatening their freedom. These are very dynamic individuals who question tradition and authority, yet, paradoxically, are quite set in their own ways.

These people have a love-hate relationship with their own uniqueness. Much of the time they are very proud of their original personalities. Other times, they feel a bit left out for being "different". Although they are humanitarian in many ways, they can be a little brusque when it comes to sentimentality or what they perceive to be excessive attachment to the past or to tradition.

When the Sun and Uranus form a challenging aspect, there can be a lot of nervous energy and defensiveness. It can be difficult to hold a 9 to 5 job or to develop steady routines. They work best when they can manage their own schedules. They work in spurts. When they are hit with creative inspiration, they are capable of tremendous effort. However, they can be quite temperamental, and it is very hard for them to pour their hearts and souls into something that they don't "feel" for at the moment. They don't like superficiality or pretense, which is an admirable trait. However, their disdain for pretense can be problematic in a world where people are expected to perform whether they are inspired or not! I have a daughter who has the Sun in challenging aspect to Uranus, and there was quite an adjustment period when she entered first grade--a time when kids begin to truly experience structure. When the children in her gym class were told to dance, she simply stood there, immobile. When asked why she was not dancing, she replied, "But I don't feel the dance inside of me, so how can I dance?" Sun-Uranus people don't always feel like they "fit in" with the rules and structures of society. However, those that recognize the need to conform at least some of the time may be able to channel their high levels of intuition, inventiveness, and spiritedness into creative endeavors or important causes. They might find that they encounter much less resistance in day-to-day life this way.

Some Famous People with Sun in Hard Aspect to Uranus: Squares - Alan Alda, Billy Crystal, Stephen King, O. Henry (writer), Wynonna Judd (Sun square Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto), John Ritter, Dennis Rodman, Oliver Stone, George Washington, Bono (U2), Dustin Hoffman; Oppositions - Kevin Costner, Lauren Bacall, Ray Bradbury, Frank Capra, Billy Corgan, the Olsen twins, Geena Davis.

Sun square or opposition Neptune
Those people born under a challenging aspect between the Sun and Neptune often struggle with a desire to be something special or to experience something more than the ordinary. They are day-dreamers and idealists. It is easy for these people to trust others, even (and perhaps especially) people who might seem from the outside looking in as unsavory types. They are looking to identify with something beyond what is normally expected of people.

Most have in common a childhood that didn't help the natives direct or define their lives. Perhaps the early family life was lacking in supervision or clearly defined rules. A father figure may have been absent or distant and ineffective. Many people with these aspects have a glorified image of their fathers. Whether the image is very positive or very negative (or if it swings between these extremes), the image is not very clear or rational. Whatever the case may be, these people struggle with defining who they are. They might gravitate towards the "wrong people", or get in with the "wrong crowd" in an attempt to define who they are. They might be susceptible to being taken advantage of by others, especially by men or authority figures. They can be easily led astray by peculiar desires or self-destructive habits. In order to add a greater-than-ordinary dimension of experience to their lives that helps them to feel special and important, they might be attracted to Neptune-ruled behaviors, such as secret affairs, drugs, or other escapist behaviors. In some way, these people feel a strong urge to glamorize their role in the world. In extreme cases, the natives are completely deluded. However, in most cases, there is simply some confusion about the past (such as remembering childhood experiences in ways that are far removed from reality), and a tendency to daydream about being someone more "important" than they assume they are. They may struggle with early conditioning that made them feel tossed aside or neglected in some way, and certainly not directed and supported.

These people are very sensitive, especially with regards to any real or imagined blows to their ego. If the natal chart shows a strong sense of reality and a robust mind (Mercury and Saturn well-placed, for example), the negative interpretations of this aspect are less extreme. Still, the natives are likely to recognize at some point in their lives that they have a tendency to engage in escapist and self-destructive fantasies and/or habits. It is useful to be able to connect these behaviors with their probable source, which is likely to be a weakly-defined ego and identity in childhood.

Some Famous People with Sun in Hard Aspect to Neptune: Squares - Anjelica Huston, Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Costner, Cameron Diaz.

Sun square or opposition Saturn
Those people born under a challenging aspect between the Sun and Saturn face a fair number of challenges in their lives, especially in the first half of life, in which their attempts to express their will are thwarted. There can be a persistent feeling that they don't get what they want more often than other people around them. They can feel unlucky. Attempts to control their environment, and sometimes others, may be frequent.

These people fear their own feelings of inadequacy! They want to be considered accomplished and important people, and when they face obstacles, they don't always want to believe that they are their own worst enemy. They long to be considered important in the eyes of the world, yet they harbor fear of success at the same time. They take failures and minor setbacks to heart, and some practically beat themselves up over them. Self-awareness to the point of real self-consciousness is characteristic of Sun-Saturn challenging aspects. The truth is, nobody holds a microscope over them, except for themselves. A little setback or a faux pas needn't be analyzed to death. Fingers needn't be pointed. No, they didn't make a spectacle of themselves when they made a mistake. They need to stop worrying about always being right, or appearing suave and accomplished. When they ease the pressure they put on themselves, they find that they don't face as many brick walls. It is very much about what they feel they deserve. Deep down inside, if they let themselves truly believe that they deserve happiness and peace of mind, they will find it.

When Saturn is closely connected to a personal planet, there is usually an effect of censoring going on with whatever is ruled by the planet it joins by aspect. For example, with the Moon, which rules emotions, the natives feel the need to censor their emotions and feelings, scanning them for what is thought to be frivolous. With Saturn and the Sun, there is much self-censoring going on. "I shouldn't.." is a common censoring mechanism with these people. They feel they shouldn't want too much. When they express egotism of any form, some part of them feels guilty. As the Sun rules our conscious mind, it does enough censoring on its own. It is the "adult" within us. Saturn, on the other hand, is more like the "parent" within us. We need parents to guide us when we are children, and to some degree as adults, but for the most part, we don't need to be censored indefinitely--something that seems to be the case with Saturn-Sun hard aspects, except that the censoring and parenting is coming from within.

Ideally, these people eventually learn that the standards they set for themselves are too high, and that may be the reason they seem to hit brick walls. They recognize that many of the restrictions they face in life are often self-created, born of a defeatist attitude. They should be aware of the tendency to choose the hardest paths to travel and/or to deny themselves some of life's pleasures. Working on recognizing and managing these tendencies will help them to avoid the pitfalls of this combination. These people have a sarcastic sense of humor, a keen intelligence, and the ability to apply caution and strategy. The vitality may suffer, and troubles with the bones, teeth, and circulation may surface.

Some Famous People with Sun in Hard Aspect to Saturn: Squares - Harry Belafonte, Wynonna Judd (Sun square Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto), Salvador Dali, Marilyn Manson, Oprah Winfrey. Oppositions - Jim Morrison.

Sun conjunct Pluto
There is a distinct intensity to people born under a Sun-Pluto conjunction. Self-knowledge and psychological transformation are their goals. Because the ego is attached to the transformative Pluto, these people undergo many periods of self-renewal. They submit themselves to frequent periods of intense self-analysis.

Perhaps even more obvious than Sun-Pluto people's intensity is their distaste for superficiality, and their ability to "read" others almost instantly, tapping into their motivations effortlessly. They quickly read between the lines, and although this helps them to experience a deeper dimension of existence, the focus may be a little too dark or negative. They are determined to uncover the truth, but when this aspect is challenged by other planets, this "truth" may be biased on the side of negativity. They can be so obsessed to prove that something is wrong, and that things are not as they appear, that it becomes an obsession. In fact, they can be very self-destructive. This is largely due to a fear that they are being taken advantage of or being lied to. Refusing to accept things at face value and mistrusting others' motivations can lead these people to work hard at proving these fears! The result can be self-fulfilling prophecies, and the natives can feel very much alone. People born under the Sun-Pluto conjunction need to consciously work on this tendency to search for the negative. It is quite an experience to watch a person with Sun-Pluto in their charts finally uncover a wrongdoing. It's almost as if they are reborn and entirely relieved! Take for an example a Sun-Pluto person who is married and suspects his spouse is having an affair. The suspicion can be all-encompassing, and uncovering the truth takes on a life of its own. When the truth is finally uncovered, there is a huge sense of release. This is not to say that the truth isn't painful to these people. It is. But the period of "not knowing" (but suspecting) was even more painful!

On the same lines, there is an expression, "What you don't know can't hurt you". Sun-Pluto people don't agree. For them, what they don't know (but suspect) can hurt them--to the point of obsession. It hurts to need to know the truth, and to be suspicious just because things seem to be "too good to be true" or too happy.

It is important for Sun-Pluto people to recognize their self-destructive behaviors. With the conjunction, these people live and breathe Pluto. With any conjunction to the Sun, the planet is so instinctive that it can be hard to even identify with it. It can easily be one's "blind spot". But identifying the qualities of that planet is the first step to mindful living. With Sun-Pluto, the first step is to identify the Pluto energy in one's life, and then to channel it into positive avenues. There is a strong desire for an added dimension of experience in the life. Ordinary and accepting is boring to Sun-Pluto people. They need more, and they can attract challenges in their lives--life-changing ones--because of this hunger for another layer of experience. They need to learn to let go of things in their lives that are preventing them from moving forward. Positive channels for Pluto energy can be such things as research (where their skills as "detectives" can be put to good use) or counseling (where their ability to understand people is appreciated).

These people attach meaning to even the most ordinary of experiences. They often have much sexual vitality and passion. In fact, the orgasm itself has the qualities of emotional intensity and concentration, as well as a death/rebirth experience (sometimes referred to as the "little death"), that is very Plutonic. These people are capable of profound insights, and they usually possess healing powers. They're talented at getting to the heart of the matter, or finding the "bottom line", and their lives are likely to be fascinating. These people are learning to be fearless. They may struggle with this at times, but they might find that conquering their fear of their own power, or their own "dark side" is most of the battle.

Famous people with Sun conjunct Pluto: Peter Jennings, Lena Horne, Ian Scott Anderson (Jethro Tull), Loni Anderson, Pierre Cardin, Mick Jagger, Kathie Lee Gifford, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits), Arnold Schwarzenegger, Martha Stewart, Donald Sutherland, Patrick Swayze, Elisabeth Kubler-Ross (devoted most of her life to helping people to deal with death).

Sun sextile or trine Mars
People born with flowing aspects between the Sun and Mars are generally enterprising. They have powerful stores of energy that they can draw upon when needed. These people respond to problems or challenges with a spirited and enthusiastic confidence that is admirable. They are naturally competitive, and this trait is generally well-received by others simply because it is unforced, unaffected, and sincere. These people truly believe in fair play, and they seem to be in love with life. When they are expressing competitiveness and courage, it's easy to smile and accept these traits as positive ones rather than being rubbed the wrong way. These people generally have good physical vitality.

It is interesting to note that these people are not naturally combative. Many enjoy sports or games that are competitive, but not violent. Breaking the rules of a competitive game is particularly upsetting to those with Sun in easy aspect to Mars. This is largely due to the fact that the will (Sun) is connected to the desire nature (Mars) in a pleasing manner, so that the natives are more able than most to control their desires, aggressions, and instincts. They know how to be fair, and they expect others to be fair. As such, sneaky behaviors, uncontrolled impulses, violence, and rage are offensive to them. They know how to direct and control their own impulses and desire natures, and they fully expect others to be able to do so!

The main difference between the sextile and trine of the Sun and Mars: The trine is a more natural energy. Those with Sun trine Mars naturally and without thought are courageous and enterprising. Those with Sun sextile Mars have the opportunity to draw upon their courageous and enterprising spirit, but effort is required to pull these energies out of themselves and to apply these energies in their lives. With the trine, the characteristics of Sun-Mars come so naturally that the natives may not even realize just how much endurance, confidence, and enthusiasm they possess. Because the sextile requires some effort and thought, those with Sun sextile Mars often have many creative tools at their disposal, and they can be effective strategists and leaders.

Some Famous People with Sun sextile or trine Mars: Angelina Jolie, Neil Armstrong (the first man to step on the Moon), George Lucas, Warren Beatty, Donald Trump.

will try looking up the aspects of your chart tomorrow..hope this helps in some way...
