While I did conceive a comic book idea years ago, I would't have thought this godfather of comics would be a fellow Capricorn.

December 28, 1922 in New York, New York

I'm guessing at an 8:00am birth. This would give him a 5th house Sun and Mercury. Leo rules the 5th, and they're the most natural storytellers in my book (J.K. Rowling). This would also give him a Leo Ascendant with Neptune conjunct it. Wouldn't that be equally good for this sort of work? Moon in Taurus in the 9th. Isn't the 9th associated with publishing? Taurus/9th influence = strong spiritual aspect?

Any other guesses at his birth time?

Really? He seems a likely CapSunner to me because we don't just have jobs, we create empires.

Howzabout about 6am? That would give him a Sagittarius Ascendant (the philosopher/mythologist persona) and an Aries Moon (which I think might be more him than Taurus Moon), with Sun and Mercury in the 1st House (adding drive plus perhaps explaining his side job as an actor). His Neptune in Leo would be in 8th House, a great placement for fantasy. It also puts Mars & Uranus conjunct in the 3rd House (I think of "comics" as 3rd House biz, "fast communication with the masses") and a Pisces 3rd House should be good for comic art. His North Node would be in the 9th House (adding to the philosophy/mythology angle). Oh, and Jupiter in Scorpio in the 11th House could explain his fandom being on Trekkie-level.

That's my guess!

I like Rowling, but the writers whom I consider "natural storytellers" do not all have 5th House Suns. Who are all the other 5th House Sun writers you like?

Im joining you via cell phone, so this wont be a long post. Im not certain about 5th house sun writers, but Leo rules the 5th, and I do think that Leo energy lends itself to fictional writing.

When I read AG's post, I was thinking, oh yes, that sounds exactly right. Then I read Neferemi's post and began thinking... ohhhhh, that sounds good too....
I don't know much about him personally though. Just a little fun guessing from his work.

AG ~ I totally misunderstood your original post. I somehow thought you were saying 5th House Sunners were the most natural writers, but you were really talking about "Leo energy" period. Right?

Although just for trivia, JRR Tolkein had his Capricorn Sun in the 5th House...

And I finally saw Spiderman 3 last weekend. I had to point out Stan Lee in his cameo to my 10-year-old nephew.

I bet he never imagined how rich he'd get.

These movies must have made him totally loaded.

Nef,

Yes, my theory is primarily based around the theory that Leos are good writers/storytellers. With his Sun in the 5th, and his ascendant in Leo I just thought that the duo would definitely make for someone with the potential to be Stan Lee.

That's interesting about JRR Tolkien. I wonder if his ascendant is Leo as well. CrankyCap has a Leo ascendant. Maybe she should write as well.

Tolkien had a Virgo Ascendant. He's also a 1st House Saturn (in Libra).

I wish we knew what time Rowling was born because I'd like to know what house her Sun is in. Oh, and what time Stan Lee was born!
