Topic: Sunrise and 12th House...I don't get it

A person born at or just after sunrise would have their sun in the 12th house. And i have difficulty grasping this idea.How can the 12th house represent 'hidden' things when it is actually so visible ?!!Similarly, just before rising, Sun is found in the 1st house, when it is still hidden from view. It seems very counter-intuitive to me. IP: Logged |

The Sun rises in the East, right. The 12th house is on the Eastern side of the chart. The horizon is the line down the middle. ------------------

People said 12th house sun is usually linked to all the tragic things. Something to do with the father figure. May have great strength. And will blossom when they progress to the first house. But im wondering when will it ever progress to the first house because the asc and the sun progress at around the same speed, one degree per year.Im still trying to understand this placement. ------------------

Good question Afroken!I wanna know that as well.I'm waiting for my Sun to move out of the 12th house!It's SO depressing.I have the unfortunate placement of Venus in the 12th as well.  ------------------

This is not about the progressed chart by itself. This is about the progressed chart AROUND the birth chart. Put the progressed chart around the birth chart and, when the Sun progression degree is greater than the birth degree of the Ascendant, the Sun will have "progressed" into the 1rst house.
