How does one become more Taurean in a positive sense? My North Node is in Taurus conjunct Venus within a 0 deg orb, so that's a very Venusian pathway..

I'd really like it if you told me more about yourselves and your positive qualities..

This might feel odd, I guess.. like showing off.. but that's exactly what I'm asking you to do.. Show off by all means.. Tell me everything that makes you a beautiful person!

(nothing negative.. I don't want to see any "I'm nice.. but.." lol)

Also, how do you unwind, what do you do for fun? What's important to you (your principles, likes/dislikes..)

Spill! Thank you

PS. For Taureans who have Scorpio in their chart.. try to focus on the Taurean side of your nature, and not mention anything Scorpionic.. because I'm much too Scorpionic as it is.. I need Taurean TLC like oxygen right now - My SN is in Scorp on Pluto.

When it comes to food, I look for quality AND quantity. I like expensive things even though I don't buy them often. I love how the person I love smells after a shower...hehe

Addicted to the pleasures of the flesh. Sensual and affectionate...I don't feel comfortable without physical affection.

Overall, I am a simple person when it comes to being pleased. I am to the point, straightfoward, and honest.

Some of my best friends are Taurus'.

Taurean in a positive sense:

Great peripheral vision. They are very asute at reading situations, and acting or coordinating others to act accordingly.

They are up on everything! My best friend, who is a Taurus, is perhaps the trendiest guy I've ever met, but even if they aren't trendy, they still know about all the latest stuff.

They're huge on reading. They love books.

They win through charm, at least the older ones do. They do a strange dance in their arguments. They start off with a point, and if they encounter resistance, they go with the resistance, and keep elaborating until they come back around to their point. It's interesting. This also makes them great at selling both themselves or other things.

They are loyal! So loyal! Even just being friends with them, it's like I'm part of the family. My Taurus best friend would act more quickly as a safety net for me than my own family would. That's how seriously they take their loyalties.

Taurus relaxing

Taurus put on an act for a good portion of every day. It's exhausting being so consistently charming, so it's not unusual to find them completely vegging at home. My best friend recently realized that his wife is really looking for him to be that charming, engaging guy 24/7, and he realized that he really is showing his true self by allowing her to see him not in that state.

Also, movies are a favorite activity for them.

Reading... as I mentioned earlier.

Working out. All Taurus' are secretly or not secretly into their bodies. They do love being in shape.

That's all I can think of for now.

I am extremely loyal! And I like food, fashion and cuddles... favourite pastime would be cuddling up at home... and making myself and my surroundings look nice. I'm also usually very patient and determined.

CoralFrequency I'd really like it if you told me more about yourselves and your positive qualities..

Hi, I have Venus conj Sun/II/Taurus
I'm a great cook & a fantastic listener, I love to read, talk, eat, drink & laugh (sometimes all at once) I notice the smallest things.....the best thing I love about my sun sign, in me are my physical capabilities & my sense of aesthetics. In my mother, her hostess skills and calm seemingly benign manner that is our rock, in my best friend, her laugh & her green fingers...etc, I could go on, I'm surrounded by Taureans yay me!

I have 3 planets in taurus. Mars, venus, merc.

Taurus is very self-sufficient and thorough, and if it doesn't have something it can make it itself. It also is on the tantric path, and can know what supports life and what does not personally. Taurus is also efficient with it's energy (not "lazy") it doesn't see the point of working just for workings sake, it has to be enjoyable too - for what's the point of being on earth if not to have pleasure? It can make something that lasts for a very long time, whether it be a business, work of art, teaching concept, etc.

Taurus gets a bad rep for being slow which can make a taurus feel kind of stupid (just read the descriptions for merc in taurus) but I must remind everyone that Buddha was a Taurus.

Scorpio gets a rep for the most sex energy, but Taurus is right there on the same continuum, they just differ in how they approach it. The difference is Taurus is not so much about getting another to react to it with sexual energy, as it is drawing the other in with your own sexual energy and communing on the physical level and creating heaven on earth, which is the same thing in a different way. Massaging, beauty, sounds, all those things heighten the experience.

I have often found that when someone is manifesting negative scorp characteristics (trying to manipulate, collecting information with intent to manipulate) that being more taurus and self-involved is the way to handle it. Folks who want to control would get very frustrated with Taurus energy very fast and complain about it. You'll hear them talk about how they just do what they want to do and are very stubborn. Taurus does what it wants when it wants, not because you want it to.

Taurus is about your worth and how you respect and honor yourself. Negative taurus is the greed, etc. when we don't realize we have all the resources inside of us already to do what we need to do and think there is lack.

Taurus also gets a rep as a procrastinator and taking it's sweet time - but it knows that when you are creating or growing something it happens in it's own time and not when others want it to. No one sits around and points at their watch and tells a tree it has to produce fruit tomorrow at exactly 6 am, or tells it a flower it must boom in an hour. They just let it happen naturally in their own time, and so does Taurus. Taurus knows about the cycle of life and that things come in their own time. So relax along with Taurus and enjoy the process.

Very insightful Neon Artemis!

yesss thats me I loooooove spending time on meee because it's my time and my time belongs only to meeee

quote:
Taurus gets a bad rep for being slow or stupid

Taureans tend to keep their thoughts, attitudes and feelings entirely to themselves and they very seldom let them appear on the surface. People get no reaction so they have nothing left to do than just think: whoa! the guy/girl is kind of sloooooooooow ...

quote:
I have often found that when someone is manifesting negative scorp characteristics (trying to manipulate, collecting information with intent to manipulate) that being more taurus and self-involved is the way to handle it.

Very true! All my Taurean placements are very afflicted so I am working hard on my inner independence and self worth

Hey Coral! Triple Taurus here - Sun, Mercury and Venus!!!

From my point of view, despite being a feminine (read: negative) sign, Taureans are surprisingly some the most optimistic people of the zodiac. I am not using myself as an example here, but the gazillions of bulls I seem to pick up on my journey through life! They are ALL very positive people.

This manifests in their loyalty, their dogged determination and persistence - long after many others have given up the ghost and also their desire to keep things pleasant. The self indulgence, laziness and pampering that is associated with the sign, stems from a deep need to "make things lovely" - to feel good, basically! Very venusian - think of a big ole Roman orgy, with plenty of fine wine, a huge feast laid out across the table and lots of curtained off rooms for, well ya know! (The curtains would be made of the finest silk of course - as would the sheets!!!)

Patience is another virtue that most Bulls possess. (Admittedly, they also love that word "possess.")

I think that what Zala posted back in November, regarding the full moon in Taurus, might help you in some way to move away from your Scorpio south node towards your Taurus NN. (Sorry for stealing!)

12º Taurus 58'

Taurus is a show-me sign; a grounded, earthy, full-body experience. The Moon in Taurus is a big reminder that it is our actions here on earth which matter most for bringing an end to the suffering and pain humans cause each other, our animal and plant brothers and sisters, and our collective Mother, the Earth. How we walk through life, how we treat other life forms makes the difference between ignorance and enlightenment.

What the Moon in Taurus wants most to convey is the message that all the wisdom of the universe is already present in your body; particularly in the human brain. There is nowhere to go, nothing higher than the multileveled intricacy of the brain we have each been gifted. Enlightenment is ever-present; lying dormant, waiting for each of us to awaken, through meditation, the totality of the pre-frontal lobe's synaptic connections. Sun/Venus/Mars trining Uranus, and the deeply compassionate, loving and spiritual Moon square to Neptune and sextile to Uranus, make this an especially powerful Full Moon to gather with others and commit to realizing your birthright: an enlightenment that is embodied, selfless, and deeply committed to ending the physical suffering of all other sentient beings.

Let's start by reminding ourselves that Taurus, the sign opposite Scorpio, tells us that life doesn't have to be so intense; a great reminder for this particular Full Moon which is opposing a hefty group of planets in "too-hot-to-handle" Scorpio: Sun (identity) /Mars (action) /Venus (love) /Mercury (thinking and communication)/ and Jupiter. Taurus wishes us a life that is beautiful, warm, soft, loving, and sensual; one filled with the pleasures of family and friends, good food, beautiful surroundings, great music and art, and all things that help soothe and heal anxiety and worry.

I can hear all the Scorpios out there murmuring under their breath, "So what pain do I have to endure in order to have that kind of pleasure?" And this is Scorpio problem in a nutshell: attachment to suffering and victimology. This is the Full Moon to consider the possibility of letting go of that particular cognitive distortion. Don't worry, there will lots more time to work seriously on this issue during the next New Moon. I'll write much more on this topic in the next New Moon Message.

Taurus rules basic survival and hence, security: personal security, homeland security, and global security. Taurus fears starvation, sickness, lack of shelter and comfort. This is why it craves security, possessions and comfort; and once gotten, holds them so tightly. The best way I know of to ensure survival is to think bigger than just your own needs and give generously to others. The Full Moon in Taurus is the time to face personal and national selfishness and greed. America is the richest nation in the world; our comforts run counter to the glaring poverty all around us. We have allowed our government to do terrible things around the globe to ensure our survival. What America wants and what it needs are two different things. Yes we need to celebrate our own self-worth and enliven self-confidence, but self-worth does not come from how much power, control and wealth we have; rather from how much we selflessly give away.

The Full Moon in Taurus enlivens our sense of responsibility to caretake our planet and its inhabitants. Reconsider the importance of your needs and desires in light of how they impact the environment. Maybe this year, you'll take those fallen leaves and start a compost pile instead of putting them in plastic bags and sending them to your local dump. How about setting up a bird feeder for the winter? How about taking ten dollars of your income every month and sending it to your favorite environmental organization? It is our job to protect Mother Earth and her inhabitants.

I am talking about total embodiment of love, here on earth, with your partner, your kids, your neighbors and their kids, your parents, your friends and their friends, your enemies, your community, your schools, your coworkers, your customers, your government, our government's friends and supposed enemies, every person in every nation, every tree, plant, animal, body of water, rock, mountain, bird, planet, star, solar system, galaxy, every one of the multiple universes, and everything that could possibly exist in all possible existences. Wrap your mind around that, then let go and open into partnership with all our relations!

This is not the usual Taurus Full Moon celebration of sitting in a hot bath, making a great meal and relaxing all night. Use the day and get radical! Make sure you commit to vote on Tuesday, November 7. No excuses: every vote counts to effect change in our government. Volunteer and arrange carpools to help needy voters get to the polls.

Or stop in at a homeless shelter and cook for the hungry, go door to door and campaign for your favorite candidate or ballot initiative, go to a hospital and sit with the sick, go to a hospice and comfort the dying. Visit a military family that has a loved one serving indefinitely in Iraq, or has needlessly lost a son, daughter, husband, father, wife, mother, in the war. Then tell me that your life is hard. Rise up out of victimology and help those who suffer most in this world.

Don't wait for things to get so bad that we have nothing left. Change now, get involved, do something that serves someone other than you, and I guarantee your heart will open and surrender into a love that can heal every dark place in your psyche, your body, your heart, and by extension all the dark places within the global psyche, body and heart.

We can all rise to this occasion, while remaining embodied and connected to all other life.

Sun, Merc, and Mars in Taurus...

- I read somewhere that Tauruses are good at spotting anything artificial---that includes flowers and ppl. Methinks this is true.

- Practical. I'm kind of an incessant dreamer due to other influences... but I think Taurean practicality helps me put some of my ideals into reality. I love to indulge (good food, clothes, etc.), but I'm not necessarily a squanderer. I'm smart enough to never go beyond budget. Truthfully, if I had a choice, I'd be lazy and be at play all day instead of work... but creature comforts require money... and this is where the Taurean work ethic comes in. If I want to go on an overseas vacation, by God, slap me with the overtime.

- Mellow. A lot of ppl think that Tauruses are boring. Fair enough---I've sat with a few dozer guys. But I honestly don't mind the quiet. It's calming actually. Tauruses are the only ppl I know who don't mind sitting in silence for a bit and not feel awkward. Reminds me of a line from Pulp Fiction delivered by Uma Thurman (a famous Taurean): "Why do ppl feel it's necessary to yak about bullsh1t in order to feel comfortable?" Honestly, I don't mind chattiness and enjoy hearing other ppl talk. Sometimes they expect a quick reaction out of me when really I'm just digesting and thinking of something worthwhile to say... I think a majority of Tauruses are quiet for this very reason I mentioned: they have no need to yak about bullsh1t in order to feel comfortable.

- Oh yeah, and we're super-loyal.

Good luck!!!

I have a Taurus sun and Venus in Taurus.

All that AG said regarding Taureans is true. However, the charm is not really an act. It's the real deal.

Another good quality of we Taureans is that ability to work longer and harder than most folks at jobs and tasks.

The tenacity of a Taurean is another good quality. We never give up until something is finished. We keep going at things long after others have given up.

Taureans are generally easy going people. It normally takes a lot in order for them to lose it on people. I have a couple of aspects such as Mars in Leo 2 degrees and Mercury in Aries that might me lose it a lot sooner than most Taureans. Still, it takes a lot.

Relaxing - I have that down to an art form. So you got that right, AG

I am not that much into material things as Taureans are supposed to be. But I do like beauty, nature and things around me very neat and orderly. I like cleanliness and tidiness.

Taureans also have a wonderful sense of humor. Especially the ironic or visual type of humor. Which is why I crack up over Monty Python so much. I love George Carlin too and he has that Taurean ironic type of humor and the visual gestures.

We are musically inclined too. Most Taureans can harmonize and sing very well. I always could.

Taureans are just basically really nice folks to know.
