Reach for the Stars by Nancy Shavick:Those born with Venus in Sagittarius are fun-loving, socially-oriented people whose primary interest in all their relationships is to have a good time. They have an easy-going, breezy attitude toward love and though they are affectionate, they see romance as a risky game they hope to win. They are impressionable and easily swayed by those they care about and though the slightest rebuff from a potential partner kills their interest, they remain friendly with those who have rejected them. They can turn off their feelings for someone quite suddenly because love is a sport to them and they do not take it too seriously. Their attractions rarely last long because they are freedom loving and loathe being trapped in any relationship that ties them down. They are not always dependable partners and are often ambiguous about their feelings-they can easily feel affection for two people at the same time. It is not that they are consciously disloyal; they are just impulsive creatures whose involvements are a result of their blindly following the dictates of their adventurous emotional natures. They can attract nice people to them but fail to satisfy these gullible individuals who think they gave found a truly loving partner. Venus in Sagittarius natives are open and giving and usually their casual attitude is due to their having been burned in love many times. Because they were betrayed when they were romantically naive, they repeat the process in reverse because they have lost the capacity to trust another; they hurt others before they can suffer disappointment for themselves. These people have a great love of the unattainable and this can cause them some unhappiness. They aspire toward union with a mate who satisfies them mentally, spiritually, and physically: a tall order to fill. They look for someone who is wordly and profound and who cherishes humor, likes to have fun, and also enjoys their freedom. Only when all these requirements are met will they ever settle down. with one person. They consider their partner a lifelong friend who shares their values and philosophy of life, and often marry someone from a different ethnic background or from a foreign country or one who lives a great distance from their home. They want partners who are high-spirited, and only when they find their ideal mate will they stop their wild ways and make a commitment. They see sex as a healthy sport, and are passionate, exciting lovers who enjoy trying new positions and techniques. They love to have sex outdoors and in exotic places and when they are on vacation they really let themselves go. Venus in Sagittarius natives worship their personal freedom and want above all to meet people while exploring, traveling, or adventuring in faraway places. They are creatures of nature who refresh their spirit by getting out into a beautiful environment; this also increases their level of creativity. They find hiking, walking, biking, golf, and the more daredevil activities such as hang gliding or bungee jumping to be exciting and soul satisfying. This combination is a sign of the artistic soul who enjoys the fine arts and high-minded creative expression. These natives can make money through travel, religion, spiritual work, writing, publishing, foreign business, sports, or animals; and they are often great philanthropists if they have the cash.

That's partly me. I don't view love as a sport. I'm wary of having a love relationship with a foreigner, because I fear they may be too machiavellian towards gender roles, read: controlling and possessive. I don't go "wild" on vacay, never did, don't think I ever will. I do like to get out into nature; it recharges me, but I never had sex outdoors. My sag-sun friend always had sex outdoors with her boyfriends...it was her thing. I'm not into dangerous sports at all! I do, however, like sports and fitness. I do not like two people at the same time, but when I was younger I did. I outgrew that. I can be a very dependable partner, but I think that's more of a maturity factor rather than astrology. I think because my venus is in the eighth house it changes it for me. I am more guarded and intense. I think the planets in signs is a good jumping point, but you have to look at which house it's in, and what sign is on the cusp of that house, as well. Do you have venus in sag? ------------------ Sun Aqua, Moon Sagg, Asc Taurus IP: Logged |

I'm a Venus in Sag, too. That interp sounds mostly correct, though I'm not for death-defying leisure activities either.IP: Logged |

I'm also Venus in Sag! I would say it's mostly true, although I do not view love as a sport. I'm very idealistic and get my heart broken and disillusioned quite often (I have Neptune exactly conjunct Venus ) IP: Logged |

Hi! I have venus in sag as well as sag rising. I can tell you that I -very much- value my freedom and independence...Anyone who tries to restrict me or smother me doesn't get very far {ie: no clingy people}. Also, I'm kind of addicted to the thrill of the chase in romantic matters and that I am definitely searching for my "ideal" love {I am usually attracted to Sag men or men with Sag placements}. I am very restless and like to "just pick up and go" ... Kind of set out and enjoy the day with no structured plans {when I have a day off}. Also, I am a very positive person. I cherish my Sag placements and wish I had more. Being a Scorp sun, they make me much less intense and much more care free. {Thank goodness, lol } IP: Logged |

I'm a Cap sun and Taurus moon and I have venus conjunct Sag in the sixth house. I really like travel. For a few months I lived abroad during college. In my relationships with friends and boyfriends I don't like to feel obligated to people-like I HAVE to do what they may expect/want me to do. However because of my Taurus moon, I am always wanting to be conforted and reassured that I am needed and liked. Nonetheless I am always trying to reclaim my independence and I make sure everyone knows that I can do things independently. I have a strange relationship with guys in that I am completely idealisitic sometimes-I am always searching for(or dreaming of)something "better" whatever that may be. IP: Logged |

Hello! I have Venus in Sag conjunct Jupiter and Neptune in Sag directly on the midheaven with Mars in Scorpio also conjunct the midheaven...I definitely have been disillusioned in matters of the heart, seeing things too idealistically perhaps. Moon in Libra, Uranus in Libra and Pluto in Virgo in the 8th...alas, Sun at 28Cap in the 12th...IP: Logged |

Another Venus in Sag in 7th house conjunct Neptune and Jupiter. I agree with most things besides love being a sport. My taurus moon & rising won't allow it. I also have 2 planets in Scorpio. I find that I can spend alot of time alone with my boyfriend but sometimes I get restless and I need to get out and see friends or new places.IP: Logged |
