However I have this question
I received a letter in the mail yesterday about being accepted into nursing school.(first day of mercury retrograde). However it doesn't start until August the 9th.

Venus goes retrograde in Virgo on July 27, 07
They say this particular retrograde would affect nurses.

what do you all think? IN what ways do you think it will affect me?

Or are you asking just, "What will happen" and not, "Should I go?"

In either case, you should see where venus will be on the date it goes retrograde and what aspects it's making.

You need to see which house it will be transiting then.

It may actually be a good thing, like Zala said, venus is a benefic.
