I'm new, but Love Signs was my first intro to astrology years and years ago! Just a month ago, I started posting with a Sag sun/Taurus moon and Mars/Sag Venus man. Our humor and communication are spot on with many favorable moon/mercury aspects. We planned a tandem bike ride down the coast within days, and I'm going to meet him for the first time this Friday!

For me, a Cap sun/Sag moon/ Aquarius venus, this is so crazy, it's nuts.

I guess my Cap sun is hoping there is 'more' to this friendship, and might become something more. I've certainly fallen for his humor already!

He has a natal Venus/Pluto square, and because our birthdays aren't far apart, that gives his Venus a .06 degree square from my Pluto. And his sun is also square my Pluto, but that's 2 degrees. Intense, no doubt.

Any clues to Sag men with a strong Taurus influence?

...and we're both closing in on 50 yrs, so no worries that we're young and foolish. Well, maybe foolish...

Cap'n Sag

Here's hoping things work out with your new friend Sounds FUN, not "foolish" !!!
That Pluto sq Venus could be quite an attraction..... And the Sun sq Pluto is another magnetizer:
"Your relationship is intense, magnetic, and complex. You are fascinated by each other and you engage in deep, intense discussions and encounters that unveil your innermost thoughts, feelings, goals, hopes, fears, and ambitions. This is not a superficial relationship! You are very uninhibited with each other, and you open up to each other more readily than to others. Be wary of power struggles, however, as Pluto may be tempted to use the magnetic attractive power over Sun to manipulate and control. You have a profound influence upon one another, for good or ill."

Happy Trails!!
Zala

Thanks for the welcome Zala! I'm really excited, and really nervous, of course! I've ordered 2 different astrology reports with him already! We talk/IM/email everyday, and we are letting our Sag's have fun! I'll have to see how it is when we meet in person. I hope it's as fun and we have as strong a connection in person. I just hope the Pluto aspects don't override everything else; at least not all the time!

How to handle a Sag with a strong Taurus influence? Be independent but also attentive and kind, be trusting and also trustworthy. Sounds like a great connection and a really fun adventure you two have planned. Enjoy!

If he's a dud, at least you'll have the beautiful scenery to keep you entertained. That's unlikely though. How could a Sag/Taurus not be fun and charming? He'll probably be a good conversationalist too.

I'm thinking the Sag in him likes the idea of an outdoor date that's adventurous, and his Taurus Mars is eager to show off its endurance. I think you're in for a fun ride.

Oh Jane, you did in one sentence what I couldn't figure out in two big 'ole astrology reports!!

Thanks for the welcome 'inspirit! I can see that this forum is very special.

He is very, very charming in communication. And so funny! I think at the very least, we'll be very good friends, especially after this shared adventure, if we survive! It's perfect for my Sag moon too, and I'm thinking my Cap sun maybe progressed to Aquarius, which is my rising sign and my Venus, to actually DO something like this! (I know nothing about progressions...)

capnsag - That'll be $19.95. I accept paypal.

I'm used to the energy of those signs. I'm a Sag with a Taurus DC, and I've been in a committed relationship with a Taurus for 5.5 years.

Friendship is beautiful, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's strong sexual chemistry too with that Venus-Pluto square. Have fun.

Not so good! He seemed closed off, although he was always trying to be cheerful. Oh, and the Uranian/Pluto things that happened! The bike derailler broke, things wouldn't fit, food was uncooked, the bike part that we needed to fix it was the LAST bike shop in town we checked...it was ridiculous. And conversation was awkward...and I found out why Sat. night. He finally confessed that he had started seeing someone in his home town! But he didn't want to disappoint me, it was pretty bad! And there wasn't that much attraction that I could tell on his part (so much for Pluto/Venus squares and my Uranus in his 5th house!

With his natal pluto/venus square, I sort of feel bad for him. When he told her about why he was traveling this weekend, she cut him off too...

He actually called me this morning, apologizing again: but honestly, I would have done the same thing if there was a possibility locally. I can see him as a friend, so we've emailed a little this morning. Oh well! Thanks for asking!

I'm sorry things didn't turn out the way you wanted. But as Zala said, you have a new friend to enjoy. More than that though, I hope you're proud that you went through with the trip. It took a lot of guts to be so adventurous with someone you'd recently started corresponding with. If you keep that open mind and adventurous spirit going, it's only a matter of time before you strike gold.

Thanks, both of you are so sweet! Actually, Jane, that was just our trial 3 day weekend. We canceled the 7 day trip. Or, I have. And he agreed the next day that it wasn't going to happen. Of course, this was before his hometown girl found out *why* he was going to California. Then she said 'adios', although I have a feeling he'll charm his way back, and she'll change her mind about him. Sag charm! And he really tried, in his Sag mind, to do the right thing by following through with me, but not really, because he wanted to give his relationship with her a chance...

And the only reason I'm so forgiving must be his sun conj. my Jupiter!

That was very wise to do a shorter trial trip first. Did the Cap come up with that?

I really think Jupiter operates the way you described in synastry. My Jupiter is trine my bf's Sun, and even when I went to, it's hard for me to stay mad at him. Lucky b*stard. He should be saying chants and offering sacrifices to that planet.

lol! Really! Yep, it was me that wanted/had to have a weekend try at this tandem thing first. Very good thing, or it would have been a pretty miserable trip!

Sigh. This onlne thing has just NOT worked out. Really, from the emails/phone calls/IM'ing, I really thought there was more there...and this was so much more than any of the other ones from before. Oh well.

Yeah, it must be so disappointing to experience such a wonderful connection in writing and even on the phone, and then not to feel much chemistry in person. But from what you wrote, it sounds to me more like the timing was off (b/c of his new hometown girl) than anything else. Things may still heat up with the Sag/Taurus and you.

I figured the Cap of the two would've been the one with the foresight to do the trial run. I don't want to imagine 7 days of uncooked food.

Maybe it's for the best that things didn't really click? Long distance relationships are so hard. There may be a local guy who's better for you.

Oh, there was definitely a physical attraction that was very nice from both...but it was the Uranian/restless energy that got to me! And because there was so much moon/mercury conj. energy, it was hard to focus on words and not just go the 'my-mind-to-your-mind' thinking!

It's funny how his hometown girl had my same reaction 'Nice knowing you -good luck!' and it makes me think he really WAS confused, and didn't necesarily make a choice, but just tried to come clean, and that we both thought he wanted the 'other' choice, and made the choice for him! And now he has nothing.

Sigh. And obviously, I'm thinking too much. Of course, a hometown fella would be nice for me, but I sure haven't met one yet. And I really did like this Sag/Taurus...

Oh well! If that Pluto/Venus stuff kicks in and he can't get me out of his mind, and shows me that he's into ME, then maybe it's not over. But I better not be holding my breath!!

Ooh, I'd forgotten that you two have Moon-Mercury aspects. I love those! In which of your houses does his Moon fall? I suppose you don't have his birth time so you don't know his Asc, or do you? I personally have found the Asc really important in creating attraction and a strong bond.

Poor Sag. Sometimes we can be naively honest. But at least now you know he's honest, even when it's likely to cost him.

I'm sure that Jupiter-Sun conjunction is making your genuine acceptance of him obvious...I think he'll really appreciate that you understand and don't hold anything against him. He may appreciate it so much that he starts showing you that he's into you.

I do know! His birthdate is Nov. 23, 1958 at 2pm, in Victoria TX. Mine is Jan 7, 1959 at 8:40 am, in Concord, CA.

His moon and mars land in my 3rd house of communcition. His asc. in Pisces, but no really strong aspects with our asc. Some sextiles, trines and squares. His asc. squares my moon and mercury that asp. his moon and mercury so nicely!

And there are a lot of Saturn energy all around, which kind of dampens any joyful feelings. Sometimes, it really did feel like so much work!

Oh well. I did drop a hint on my blog, that he knows about, that says that I wish it could have been more too. Just so he knows. ANd then, we'll see. He may make up with that hometown girl too! And you're right about long distance relationships just being HARD.

Oh well. Such is life!

hi Spirit! Can you answer my other question about this Sag then? I have another thread about insight into the Sag male, asking about this one..I'm wondering if I pushed him away in my Cappy/done in Aquarius way when he confessed about 'double dating'. It wasn't as if we had an exclusive agreement, since we hadn't met yet! Just wondering if he really was interested in me, since he was still wanting to through with the trip...thanks!

Oh, ack. So I emailed him a friendly post. I was feeling guilty to saying on the phone to him that the weekend was a bust, and so I wanted to let him know that HE was great, even though the things that happened weren't. I'm so good at the friend stuff! (Aqua Venus/Asc. and Sag moon) So part of me is braced for a reply. Like he really is going after the local gal, and 'nice know'in ya, good-bye' or he's open to friends, or ?

Ack. No wonder I've stayed single for so long!!

A couple things in common: my bf's moon also falls in my 3rd house and he also has a Pisces Asc. After looking at synastry with past bf's I realized I have a thing for men with that Asc. I confess, I'm the hometown gal your guy is seeing!

I looked at your synastry and saw some very pretty aspects. I'll list my favorites. (I'll put the size of the orb in parentheses. General consensus is that the tighter the orb, the more strongly the aspect is felt. 0 = under 1 degree, 1 = under 2 degrees, etc.)
--Your Venus sextiles his Sun. (0) No wonder you're smitten!
--His Venus sextiles your Asc. (2) This indicates an attraction and affection for your overall demeanor. Very good to have in a friendship or romantic relationship.
--You have a Moon-Saturn double whammy. The usual interpretation of this is a serious & significant relationship. Your Moon conjuncts his Saturn (1); his Moon trines your Saturn (2). I suppose the negative way this could play out is you each feel that the other is too serious and tries to confine you. My personal experience with Saturn-Moon contacts though is more one of feeling like you can depend on one another and that you're with someone who feels like family. I suppose how it plays out depends on other synastry aspects. I think the next aspect wouldl keep things from getting severe...
--His Jupiter sextiles your Sun (0). Your Jupiter trines his Asc. (1) and widely conjuncts his Sun. As you've already mentioned, brings good cheer, forgiveness, and a natural desire to give the other the benefit of the doubt. Excellent asset in any type of relationship.
--His Eros sextiles your Sun. (0) Eros is an asteroid whose energy can be described as the desire to merge. It's erotic, which means it could be sexual but it could also be creative/spiritual. In synastry, I've found that it leans toward the sexual side. A very enjoyable finding. But keep in mind that asteroids are much more subtle than planets, so unless he's a relatively spiritually evolved person and/or has a prominently placed Eros, he may not be in touch with his Eros energy.

There are many others, but a lot of the ones catching my eye involve asteroids and I don't want to bombard you with lots of info about that, particularly since I'm pretty new to the study of asteroids myself.

WOw, so nice to hear what you think, thank you Jane! And I don't mind at all about hearing what else you see in our asteroids, that's what I'm trying to learn about now! No answer from him yet, although I'm not sure he has internet access where he is with his kids. ooogh, I hate the 'waiting' game...

I wish I knew what he was thinking, and I know that men and women aren't THAT different, but I do remember thinking how I overthought things way to much when I first met him. I can't believe how much I'm thinking about him NOW, and I'm the Pluto part, not the Venus part of those synastry obsessive aspects! Darn. I do have poor Neptune natal aspects that leaves me in fantasy-wait-for-the-perfect-man thing... which may not even be within the human realm!! Silly me.

Hey, I was thinking all of this going wrong stuff could be the Mercury retro. When does that bugger go direct?? Still no word. And because he's a techie, he should always have his laptop and find someway to be connected. Boohoo.
