Topic: How accurate is horary astrology?

Does anyone no much about horary astrology and if so how accurate is it seeing as it doesn't involve any kind of aspects from a natal chart.IP: Logged |

It can be pretty darned accurate, as the chart is cast for the time the astrologer understands the question. Significators are determined for the people/things involved - for instance, the ruler of the Ascendant is the significator of the person who asked the question. Aspects being made (or not) and any reception (or lack thereof) all help the astrologer determine the answer. Past and future aspects can show what happened before and what is likely to happen, if the people continue on the same course of action.So horary astrology answers aren't set in stone. I think they say a validity of about 6 months, in general. Plus, if you do something differently based on the answer that you didn't like, you can swing things in your favor. Hope that helps,

Err... *know*. I think I've done that a few times here. Duh. lol What happens when a couple's synastry chart shows mutual attraction and affection but the horary reading suggests otherwise? I am totally confused. IP: Logged |

Ann,A couple's synastry chart shows the dynamic between the two of them, but the horary chart might not, as it primarily represents the question that was asked. If when the girl asked the question, the guy happened to be focused on his job, worrying about it, the chart would reflect that - he might be in his turned 10th house. That doesn't negate how he feels about her - he's just focused on something else at the time. The horary chart only answers the question that was asked. The synastry chart would be a better way to determine the dynamic between them, or the composite chart, which shows the relationship. Sunshine IP: Logged |

Thank you for your help Sunshine  . Ok..whew... that last part lost me. I asked about the guy I used to date. If the strong attraction that I feel is mutual and if we would come back together. The woman that did my horary chart said that he felt no real affection for me and probably very little attraction {thanks lady, lol}. Our synastry seems to point to feelings being mutual because of a lot of double whammys and a few other hot aspects... That's why I'm confused :/IP: Logged |

I know nothing about horary astrology, but you may want to ask Spry to do a card reading for you in her thread "Enchanted Astrologer." She gives instructions in the first post of the thread. She's done 2 readings for me and both were freakishly appropriate. IP: Logged |
