Added note: I believe the Mars placement would show how well a person
expresses sarcasm. Perhaps the moon would show how well they receive it?

Yeah, my sis and I are wicked sarcastic with eachother, but it never cuts deep....and we're watersigns! We usually do it for laughs too, and never to hurt eachother anyways. I always suspected that it was the mercurial moon connection (hers in gemini, mine in virgo).

On the other hand, my boyfriend, HATES it so I never really am that way with him. BUT, we have this mutual friend who's a sag who acts really really dumb and ditzy (when she's really not) everytime she's around guys just for some attention. Sometimes, I respond to her sarcastically just because the whole situation annoys me. When he witnesses it, he's like "Why are you acting fresh?" and what-have-you. He's a scorp sun/moon pisces/virgo mars/merc in sag.

Mercury in Sagittarius ... I have it and two other people I know have it too. All of us are very sarcastic. Mercury aspecting the Ascendant might be a factor as well.

With alot of the sags I know, sarcasm completely goes over their heads.

I'd say I can be sarcastic, hehe, I am gemini sun & mercury & have loads of planets in virgo and libra moon & venus in cancer

Also, Sags are good with sarcasm, as are aquarius who are extremely funny with it.....

Reading through this there are many points that I agree with. One is that if you're in New York, sarcasm is a given. In Los Angeles...it can be considered very offensive if directed at another, even in humor. (Learned that one the hard way through experience!)

I had to add a few of these when talking about the different signs and sarcasm. Some of the signs mentioned for sarcasm were Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. They all are sarcastic for sure, in their senses of humor. Here are the memories that popped into mind with these ones.

Me: Does this outfit match?
Capricorn: (Stares at outfit.) Sure. (Mutters under breath while walking away...) It's not too hard to match when you're wearing 10 different colors.

Me: So you don't think I should do that then?
Aquarius: H@%% no! That's like standing in the yard in a lightning storm and yelling "Bring it!"

Pisces: Do you have any gum?
Me: Sure. It's in here somewhere. (After digging through purse for a few minutes...)
Pisces: You know what...you can just keep whatever is in the depths of that bag with the hair and pennies that I'm sure are lurking in the bottom.

My experience with Cancer sarcasm is that it's usually directed at someone who does something they don't like...and they come up with a fitting and insulting nickname for them...but not to their face.

Virgos usually direct sarcasm at themselves. (Except for my Pluto conjuncted friends...then anyone is fair game, but they'd only make the comments to a trusted friend in private. And the comments are always hysterical!)

The Geminis that I know usually have it come out when they're angry. They don't mean it to be funny, but it is anyway.

My Aries friends and family don't use sarcasm and I have to explain why I said it if I use it on them.

Taurus, Leo, and Sag get it, but rarely use it.

Scorpio is well thought out and intended to hit a mark. Usually to put someone in their place.

At least that's my experience with sun sign sarcasm!
