I tried to find a viable source to give me info. on the matter but I couldn't find a solid one.

This can cause a lot of stress too in the future. My best friend had this with her ex and she said it was great in the begining but can creat a lot of stress because both signs are so different.

I have this oen w/ my bf (with like a 4 degree orb though). Hard to say how it plays out but I think its dependant on who's venus and who's mars and also the sign placement.

Like my mars is in aries and his venus is in lirba..... obviously the fact that the two planets are dignified is very important in describing how it plays out. The fact that the "genders" are switched makes things tricky and interesting, especially if their one person who has a set idea about what's male and what's female in the relationship. Since my mars is also in the 3rd, it could also explain why he hates when I get sarcastic ("fresh" as he puts it). I sense that he does get a little insecure about my "do-it-by-myself" streaks I have now and again and that could be because his venus is relationship orientated in libra, and my mars is "self-orientated" in Aries. I think he likes to feel needed....especially with a pisces moon and all. And then he has his idea of what's "lady-like" that I don't feel like fullfilling that because its not always me. He accepts that too so its no big deal. I dunno, I just think it would be easier if he were mars and I were venus but whatever. I think what contributes more to this is the fatc that he has main planets in very relationship orientated signs while mine are not so relationship-friendly.

Ahhhh... me see. Thanks for the input there Dulce.

Interesting though... The mars in question is in Aquarius and the Venus in question is in Libra. Now there shouldn't be such a big clash of ideals in such a situation since Aquas and Libras usually see eye to eye when it comes to practicality and views.

Hmmmm... There is also the Pluto conjunct Moon aspect Lol! Boy oh boy... things are gonna get hot.

I've had moon conjunct pluto and Venus opposed mars in a compositre with a man, we had both our moon's natally trining the others mars...and He is the only man I have ever literally wanted to tear the clothes off, it is as if our engeries ( despite the best efforts of our heads)just want us to umm go for it. So far we have resisted due to various circumstances but it is very, very hard.Magnetic doesn't come close.

Err thanks Xodian, but if mars is in aqua and venus in libra then that would mean they are trine and not opposite. (or square if venus is at end of libra and mars is at the beginning of aqua; quincunx if venus is at the beginning of libra and mars is at the end of aqua).

From Linda Goodman's relationship signs

A's Venus opposing B's Mars

quote:
It wouldn't be honest to duck the issue here. depending as always on other aspects in your entire analysis, although this one can create a tremendous amount of mutual stimulation, it also has the potential for serious conflict. (With lots of other harmonious aspects in your intercharts this can be considereable lightened). WHat do I mean by possible "serious conflict"? Well, ;et's see. I mean that this vibration indisputably acts as an intensely magnetic stimulant in the beginning (especially between lovers, but actually, leaving out the sexual chemistry, also in family, friendship and bussiness associations), but this is just the planets' way of seducing you into thinking everything is always going to be whipped-creamy smooth and delicious. It is not. It can occasionally be more like sour pickles mixed with that hot stuff in Mexican food (serves you right should be vegetarians).

As for stimulation, there's stimulation - and then there is stumulation. In this case, it could become overstimulation that turns into a mutual sense of stubborn resistance with little attempt at compromise. There could be clashes of temperament, and temper! and periodic annoyance of hurtful words, later regretted. If you'll forgive my being logical,, words never spoken don't need to be later regretted. So bite your tongues and try unbending a bit. Mars could at times feel smothered by Venus' possessiveness, or by the way Venus takes unintentional hurt so seriously. Venus can be feeply wounded by Mars's sometimes rash behavior and thoughtless speech.

Tell you wat. Mars tone down your tendency to domineering behavior. Venus, curb your unnecessary oversensitoivity. Then both of you hold hands, go out at midnight and wish on a star together. Have you ever meditated on the words to the song "when you wish upon a star?" They ring with indisputable cosmic truth: "When each star is born they possess a girl of two, one of them is this, they have the power to make a wish come true"! And they do. They really, really, not nearly, but really do! With only yhe tiniest bit of help from you, which is that you must sincerely mean your wish. Intensely ordain it. This is quiet simple, once you get the hang of it. Then you can both wink back at Mars and Venus. In a karmic and cosmic sense, they're your friends. Discmiss them from your minds and invite them in your hearts

Hope this helps my dear. Linda's words always touch my heart and this book is amazing. Even the bad stuff looks liveable for which i love her so much. So good luck

I remember reading that a womens venus opposite a mans mars makes the man feel really manly and the woman feel really womanly.

BUD:

You're all the help I ever need sweets . Thanks a bunches for that. And to answer your question, its my Pluto and her Moon.

Dulce:

Actually, correction on that (was looking at the wrong planet positioning) Mars is in Saggitarius and Venus would be in Scorpio.

Julia:

Hmmm... That doesn't apply in this situation (unless its happening right under my nose and I have no clue about it Lol! Which BTW, ain't gonna happen .)

Errr, I hate to be a pain in the a-- again, but that would mean that they're semi-sextile and not in opposition.

Tell you what, give me your mars and venus signs, and then tell me her mars and veuns signs. I tell you if you have any venus-mars opposition combo.

Hi All!

This is actually in my own chart, not synastry...but I have my Mars at 2 degrees Scorpio and my Venus at 27 degrees Aries and it comes up as an opposition on all of the astrology websites. (It's a 5 degree orb, so I'm not worried about it.) But the signs are not opposite signs...

Would that still be considered an opposition?

Thanks!
