The pisces who did my head in first made his relationship with his girlfriend serious during the last mercury retrograde. Now he has gone and gotten engaged to her during THIS mercury retrograde.
I'm wondering what the heck would make him decide to do that (he knows nothing about astrology), I want him to be happy but I'm worried that he's making all these life changing decisions at the worst possible time.
Is there an upside to getting engaged during a merc retro?
And surely it can't be a coincidence he made it official with her during one and is now engaged during the next one? What effect of merc retro would make someone do that? Seems weird to me.

Any ideas? At least its helping me put the past behind me, I do still love him, but the biggest part of my love for him is letting him go. Its hard but I feel stronger and less heartbroken. Its rather freeing actually.
