I was wondering how parents here in LL found their relationships to be w/ their children and if you could sense the influence of signs in the relationship...Me- Aries sun/ Pisces moon/ Taurus ascendant
my son- Sag sun/ Pisces moon/ Gemini ascendant I've found that we both love to be on the go and are very emotional& sensitive to eachothers moods. I've also found that my son is a constant talker whose words race circles around my taurus influence. He's 4 years and I hope our mother-son relationship w/ our compatable sun/moon signs help us to stay in tune with eachother (especially through the teenage years!) let me know what combos others have and if you think they have an effect on your relationships. me - aquarius sun/cancer moon/scorpio asc
daughter - libra sun/aquarius moon/sag asc
son - leo sun/taurus moon/sag ascI don't know about anyone else...but I really found the moon to be a stronger influence in their young years but when they hit the teen years the sun's influence really began to shine.
My son was an affectionate little baby and always hunger (his love affair with food continues as does our grocery budget now that he's 15). The performer in him really started to come out the last few years. He is a wonderful example of the leo creative self expression. He's hard to catch, always on the go but he likes to come for a drive with me so he can fill me in on all his plans (merc in leo too)
My daughter (17) has always been quite the character (Uranus in cap sits on her ascendant along with a very full house including sat/nept/moon/nnode)....she's really funny. She wants independence and her own space but at the same time is very distressed if she senses disharmony in her relationships. While my son views me as the typical stay at home mom.....my daughter sees me as a little more unusal and treats me more as a friend (although she never misses an opportunity to point out how lame I am)....even going so far as to call me by my first name for the last two years.
What about mercury signs? My daughter's is in virgo and mine in pisces.....I find that I speak in symbols and big picture and she focuses on details and is very critical if I don't say something exactly right....when I think she could just fill in the blanks.
My son and husband are merc leo's and they talk non stop about themselves and their projects. Whew...sorry I was so long winded.

Mercury is also a good one to look at. Especially w/ communication being as vital as it is for families.
My son's mercury is in capricorn which makes sense because he functions better w/ order and schedules in his life. he also gets frustrated when he has too much information coming at him.
I think my pisces mercury helps when it comes to communicating with him because i can sense his thought process and am very adaptable to getting things through to him in a way i think it'll stick and he'll be willing to accept it.So many things to look at and while romantic relationships are so interesting to look at through an astrological view I think that the angle it can give a parent is vital to accepting your child's individuality and it also gives you more ideas on how to be protective in a way that they will understand better than "because i'm your parent and i said so!" I've said this before here, I keep seeing similarities between child and parent(s).Here's a few examples- My mother: Scorpio sun,Aries moon,Aqua Asc.
Me: Aries sun,Cancer moon,Libra Asc. (I inherited her Aries moon as my sun)
My father: Capricorn sun,Taurus Moon,Libra Asc.
My brother: Leo sun,Aries moon(inherited by my mother),Cappy Asc(inherited by my father). My friend's mother: Pisces sun,Aries moon,Scorpio asc.
My friend: Scorpio sun, Cancer moon & asc.
Her Father: Cancer sun & moon (she inherited mother's asc and father's sun & moon as her asc and moon. I also see a tie though generation...in my family my two grandparents are Aqua suns (my grandfather's aspects unknown), but I believe strongly my Grandmother has a Libra asc and Cancer moon. Here's why.
Child 1(different father): Aquarius sun
Child 2(my grandfather's child): Cancer sun
Child 3(my mom): Scorpio
Child 4: Cancer sun, Aqua moon
Child 5: Libra sun, Pisces moon (She married a Libra man, they have a Libra son and she recently had a Pisces baby). CONNECTED, YES! On the other hand, relationship wise, my grandparents don't seem emotional or gun-ho about reuniting family. My family has had tons of problems lately...The sun signs of my grandparents and sun signs of their kids aren't compatible, however my only Aqua aunt who lives with us does not get involved in family issues and tries to not let them bother her. I'd say my mother and aunts are all very different and it could be a problem sometimes in seeing eye to eye. & Me--being who I am astrologically, wants to fix everything.

Me: Pisces/Aqua/Aqua1st Son Leo/Cancer/Sag
2nd Son Pisces/Capricorn/Sag Well my first son and I we get each other but we clash alot I think most of it has to do with him being a teenager and thinking he knows everything. Two could be his Sun is opposite of my moon..But my Sun trines his moon which is good..But we have alot of opposites we see things differently sometimes but I have a huge influence on his decisions so its not that bad.. My 2nd Son well we are totally intune with each other. He is a Pisces like me and he has s Cap moon which go great with my Sun too. My moon and his sun are good together as well. its funny bc he has that ability to read ppl already he reads me as well and he is so on point with it, I just have to laugh.. IP: Logged |

Slightly different take  I am an Aries Sun, Moon in Taurus in the 5th house. My youngest daughter has Mars conjunct Sun in Virgo.
with a Leo Moon in the 2nd House. We are so different, but so alike. IP: Logged |

My mom: Scorpio sun and sag moon + scorp rising
Me: Gemini sun and cap moon + cap risingMy mom is very outgoing while I'm usually very serious and a constant worrier. We get long very well, but sometimes there are communication issues. She sometimes will say the most hurtful things (and she's very aware of what she's doing) when I'm depressed about something. The purpose is to try to tear me apart when I'm at my weakest to prepare me for the real world. I have to admit, this technique worked rather well because nothing anyone says hurts me now. However, I have the tendency to turn someone's greatest weakness against them with a few cutting remarks if they mistreat me. I said some hurtful things to my mom on a few occasions and it literally made her break down in tears (Scorps aren't as tough as they seem!)

me: sun,moon,venus,mercury,ascendant aries and mars cancer.
my son (9 years old) sun,mercury and saturn aries,moon sag. taurus mars and scorpio ascendant.We're very close to each other,like twins,which is not very good at times, especially between a mother and a son! IP: Logged |
