If there are any sports in particular you enjoy doing.. or even just watching, post them and your Mars sign/house and any relevant aspects.. I'll start.. My Mars is Capricorn on DC, conjunct Neptune. I absolutely love swimming.. I could do it for hours, though funnily enough, I used to be afraid of the water when I was younger.. I really like it now.. Makes sense with Neptune I also like tennis! So how bout you guys? IP: Logged |

Mars (retro) in Cancer in the 1st.I don't really like team sports or competitive sports- except tennis (I love your icon CF!) I too could spend all day in the water, or on the water, but with my pisces sun/venus and water mars I'm not surprised. I love horseriding (own my own horse), beach AND pool volleyball. Mostly I'm into fun sports that aren't full contact or overly exerting, lol. Love skiing (water and snow). IP: Logged |

My Mars is in Aquarius, 2nd house. I absolutely love football (5th house Taurus, Venus in 11th (teams). I love the intensity and passion, everything about it. That prob comes from my Mars square Pluto thoughThe longest sport I've ever participated in (and loved) has been competitive cheerleading (14 years). Which is mostly like gymnastics and dance, but it's amazing. Very dear to my Idk though, I've done almost everything. Basketball, softball, tennis, track, swimming, gymnastics, badminton, and lacrosse
I guess it's my Sag AC that makes me an "athlete" ------------------ Sagittarius AC, Sun in Scorpio, Moon in Leo IP: Logged |

Mars in Saggitarius.Needless to say that Sports and I are one Lol! American Football, Soccer, (Beach) Volleyball, Matrial Arts, Trail Biking, (recently) Rock Climbing, Hockey are just to name a few. The list goes on but I don't think this thread has enough room to support my list and the ego that comes along with it . Me and my Bros. are TOTALLY competitive. We taunt, we play rough, we play with the intention to injure each other Lol! Now as much as it sounds twisted, its actually quite the character building experience. And its just us Bros. rouging around Lol!We just love American Football as a team sport; Quite the game. Watching, well... Apart from the obvious ones (Hockey, football, soccer, etc.) I love Auto Racing. Fast cars, and extreme skill; What more can a guy ask for? IP: Logged |

Mars in Taurus in the 10th hs. I love playing badminton (but not watching someone play). When I was a child I also did some figure skating (I still like watching it). Sometimes I can enjoy watching football but only if it's something big like world cup. Oh, and I like swimming though I cannot do it properly.------------------ Sun in Gemini AC in Leo Moon in Pisces IP: Logged |

I love this thread! My mars is in aries/3rd house and I love, love, love futbol (none of that boring a-- American football). I finally got Gol TV last fall and have since finally gotten to watch Spanish La Liga for the first season ever, and it was off tha hook; they play very fast and offensive games for a Meditteranean country (much like the Portuguese Primeira which I don't get to see often). Not to mention there was alot of good eye candy. I still like the English Premiership too, but this one beats it out in the area of entertainment and suspense because every team is competitive.....not just the top four. I actually from a family of footballers.
After that, I really like baseball but its hard to be a Yankees fan in a Red Sox nation. IP: Logged |

Mars in Taurus 9th house, trine Neptune and Ascendant here.. ^_^I like badminton the most.. XD and also basketball and swimming.. I like a good competition, a good opponent, but I don't like over extreme sports (no serious injuries!).. I don't like football much as it seems a bit violent for me lol.. I can enjoy volleyball, but only without violence lol.. My body is not very strong, but it has good resistance and endurance.. I'm also interested in dancing and martial arts, but never tried thought.. XD I also like adventures such as traveling in the middle of the nature.. survival adventures attracts me lol.. I wonder if this also counts as a sport? :P IP: Logged |

You DID NOT just say that... Lol! Well I know that conventional explination will not convince you that Football requires an equal amount of brains and Bronze so here is a little clip to show you what Football can be like if you get creative with it . Keep watching till the football scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6xPXWgjUZg OzMeg222: I swear its so hard being a Leaf's fan *Le Sigh.* We have had a Standley cup drought here for over 60 years... *Le Weep.* IP: Logged |

Very clever! You already knew what my argument would be on the soccer vs. Football thing. Unfortunately I can't watch the clip right now as I'm on my laptop and the youtube videos don't buffer correctly on my laptop (they end up stopping right in the middle). Until then, I'm still sticking to my argument that Soccer is a bit more complex in terms of skills with some pretty simple and straightfoward rules. With American football it is the reverse: uncomplex moves and uneccesarily complex rules. And don't even get me started on the Instant Replay bit. IP: Logged |

See that is where I would have to disagree; Football is ALL about complex and aggressive athletic skills (barring a few special positions; i.e. kickers.) A returner for instance can also be the team's running back who also can be a wide reciever in a certain secret play.Oh if only you knew the complexity of some plays ... IP: Logged |

Yeah, but with futbol you actually have to rely your feet to move it around; that requires alot of skill. All I see going on with football is some guy running around with the ball in their hands waiting to be pulverized by some 6-foot 200 lbs guy; that does nothing for me.IP: Logged |

Sorry Dulce babe, but that's the biggest misconception ever!!!Yes its true that soccer players have to cover more ground then football players but soccer strategy usually lies upon passing and dodging. Football is a whooole different animal. You have to take off like a Cheetah, and continue that pace up for maybe 50 yards or more. You have to have keen hand eye connection for both passing and recieving. You gotta be able to take hits and keep on trucking. If you're a Quarterback, you have to make split-second decisions from your view of the field which sometimes isn't really good considering the amount of blockers and opposing D line comming to tackle you Lol! Oh there is just no comparison Dulcio . IP: Logged |

But soccer requires running too! You gotta be like a cheetah to play as a midfielder or a striker otherwise just forget it. Like I said, places like Spain, Portugal, England, South America, and even Sub-Saharan Africa play very fast games. So we've got speed and skill rolled all into one. IP: Logged |

I enjoy this football vs american football war C'mon Dulce Luna, you're not alone Im so happy to see other football crazy girls, lol Otherwise, in my opinion they are too different to make a fair comparison, but i do agree with D.Luna with everything. All the team sports require complexibility: you have to know, feel and read the game, and nowadays football is not only about skills, but also physical connection. Not to mention how important to make fast decisions. Football is just simply wonderful, and its much more than a game: it does connect the whole world. Green Fairy "i refuse to call it soccer"

Blah, no offense to anyone but I can't stand soccer or futbol. I've played it, and found it boring. Along with basketball and baseball/softball. Also played..and watched and it's such a sleepfest for me.
I find American Football way, way more exciting. Just my opinion...
