Venus in Retro has not even *officially* begun, and I have had more ex-boyfriends (ex-lovers, ex-whatevers) get in touch with me than I can shake a stick at!Calling, texting me at all hours, sending me random emails, making friends with me on Facebook... What the heck? I've been through Venus Retros before (as have we all) and never before have I seen the likes of this. Is there something about the pre-Venus-Retro period that might explain this? try doing a chart for 'today' ..
and note the aspects .. ..
loads of aspects between venus/mars .. and the retro 'outer planets' ..
and .. mercury trines the n.node

Well, let's see. I have Mercury in my 12th house conjuncting Sun and Venus and also conjuncting the Ascendant.That's all I can think of really. But it's even guys from highschool (which was over a decade ago for me). It's just odd. T. NN is conjuncting my Lust...although I lust for nothing right now. I knew this would happen! It hasn't happened to me (I'm so very glad it hasn't!), but it must be so bizarre to go through for you, since you said it's a lot of people - and people you wouldn't expect!Venus is in its fall in virgo, which is the sign it retros in initially, so be aware of that. This is probably the "shadow period" which, from what I understand is the most potent part of the retrograde. Lots of crazy stuff will happen... I posted a lot on the retros; they're very interesting to me, and so many planets are retro right now, and more to come. Here are some threads:

LOVE: where's your transiting venus right now? Is it in your 12th house? I've found that when tVenus is in the 12th, the love life gets very topsy turvy and intense.------------------

T. Venus is halfway through my my 3rd House.The aspects it is making in my chart are: Sextile Sun and Venus (0)
Square Mercury (8 approaching)
Semi-sextile Saturn (0)
Sextile Uruanus (0)
Square Neptune (9)
Trine Chiron (1)
Opposing Lust (3) I don't know...none if it really sticks out at me. But maybe the fact that it's going through my 3rd house (Mercury), and just entered Virgo (Mercury) and is squaring my Mercury? Communication. That's all I can assume. Still, it's odd. Although I have to admit, it's not like they're all asking me out. They're just...communicating. Okay, maybe it does make sense

Hee! EVERYONE I know has an ex that's reappeared just around now. I tend to think the retro influence is felt before the official movement.My ex and I are still too heavily involved. The new guy I want to be with got back together with his ex. And two close friends just got into exciting new relationships, and their exes reappeared to finally confess love! When will it end? So, I got home from work tonight and found a red rose on my doorstep.After some internet snooping, I figured out it was my most recent ex BF who left it. It figures that on the very moment that venus goes into retrograde, this would happen. I don't think I'm looking forward to this particular retro at all.
