Do you think the ascendant describes someone's sexual style? You hear a lot about Venus and Mars, but personally I've found the ascendant to be a much bigger influence. I think the ascendant influences the way a person is animated in general--the type of eye contact they make, the way they move, the way they touch. .Have you also noticed the ascendant's influence? I think it describes the way someone is sexually more accurately than Venus or Mars. (It is the Rising sign, after all  .) IP: Logged |

Hmmmm...well I do think that the Ascendant would definitely have something to do with the way the energy comes across. Like, the filter would be very Piscean with the Pisces Ascendant. My most recent ex had a Pisces Ascendant and I loved it (I have a Cancer Ascendant). His eyes always seems so....I don't know how to accurately put it into words, but they were sort of magnetically ethereal and spiritually beautiful while still managing to be sexual and intense (he's a Scorpio). But I have to say that sexually (physically speaking), he was more like his Sun, Moon and Venus - aka, Scorpionic, Virgoan and Libran. I think that maybe the Ascendant/Filter might have the effect of making it seem like the sexual energy is like the Ascendant...but when you think about it, sex is largely in our minds. So if we perceive it that way...then maybe it is? Are we basically saying the same thing? IP: Logged |

To a point, yes but in the overall case, No. I have to say it has more to do with one's Eros aspectrather then one's ascendent. Ascenders project a certain personality on to people and what people may end up falling in love with is that projected personality and demeanor. So maybe you loved the Picean caring personality and how it was projected onwards in sex as well. IP: Logged |

I think it depends on how much the ascendant affects the individual in general.
I've known people whose ascendant almost totally masks the influences of their sun/mon/venus/etc. and I've known people whose ascending sign surprised me because I couldn't see any evidence of it.
So, if the ascendant is strong- it would come through in the bedroom as well..but if it is merely a thin veil, it would dissolve in a heated moment.IP: Logged |

Jane,I have Piscies Moon and with combination with my Sagg AC (I have Mars Sagg also in 1st house), I am predatory in bed...but Piscies Moon gives me tenderness. K.

For me it may work for the approach. But I don't think it works for the act. Unless I completely misunderstand Libra.

I would have to say that I am far more like my Scorpio Venus and Sagittarius Mars than my Capricorn Ascendant. In fact, at this point, short of freaky events and work I have really moved away from my Capricorn rising traits altogether...IP: Logged |

It's funny how no one ever talks about the Moon when it comes to sexuality but I personally find that it definitely plays a role for me and the serious relationships I've had.Maybe it's partly because I'm a Cancer x 10 but feelings, whether they are actively expressed or repressed by my partner, have everything to do with how I perceive them sexually. I have virgo ascendent... and it has nothing to do with sexual style..by the time it comes to anything sexual, virgo is no where there.. it is only aries mars and sag sun there.. ascendent atleast for me works only till first few meeting.. if I decide to let anyone get closer, then it no where in the picture.
