I've often tried to guess the placements of characters while reading a book or watching a movie, and maybe some of you have...especially when you've read or seen something more than once.

For example:

Harry Potter
Gemini Sun/Scorpio Moon

Sirius Black
Scorpio Sun/Leo Moon

Elizabeth Bennett
Cancer Sun/Gemini Moon

Luke Skywalker
Capricorn Sun/ ???

Just to name a few!

Anyone have a favorite character that stands out for you or a different take on these ones?

This is fun :-)
I'll stick with Harry Potter, since I'm reading the book...

I'd always thought Harry Potter to be a Leo, with a Scorpio Moon. Esp because he's so "proud", "brave", and "chivalrous".

Ron Weasley: Cancer Sun/Sagittarius Moon

Hermione Granger: Aries with a Virgo Moon.

------------------
Sagittarius AC, Sun in Scorpio, Moon in Leo

Alanabelle...

I kept going back and forth between Leo/Gemini for the sun. Maybe Leo Sun/Scorpio Moon with other Gemini placements!

I always thought of Ron as a Virgo, but I can see the Cancer too.

I totally agree with Hermione...I thought either Aries sun w/ Cap moon or Virgo moon!

Well in fact, the author of Harry Potter already has the signs of the cast. All I can think of right now is Harry's, Hermione's, and Ron's. I'd look for the rest but I don't want to spoil the ending for myself right now as I have n't read the sixth or seventh book yet(but just bought them at the Super Market).

Anyways.....

Harry: Leo (no suprise there, he annoys the shite out of me sometimes)

Ron: Pisces (you guys weren't too far off with the cancer guess)

Hermione: Virgo (I bet this is suprising )

You... You lot have been Potter-ized!!! *Forms a Crusifix with his fingers.* Back! Back I tell ya! I won't let that Foureyed, Wand waving, Latin Spewing Heathen take me!

Lol! I jest.

Well just a change of pace:

Jason Bourne:

DOB: 15 / 04 / 1971

It really surprised me that the character is an Aries Lol! Yeah he is definately fiery and aggressive but he is so clam and cool under such tanse situations.

Hmm, wonder what his chart looks like.

I often do that too, give a character a sign. With the Harry Potter books, I've thought of the different houses as having signs too. Gryfindor, Harry's house, would of course be Leo. Slytherin is Scorpio. The other two aren't as clearly one sign to me, but I decided to stick with the fixed signs and think of Hufflepuff (the nice ones) as Taurus and Ravenclaw (the clever ones) as Aquarius. Oh yes, I am capable of major acts of dorkdom.

I think a Scorpio Moon is perfect for Harry since it would link him with Slytherin/Voldemort.

8th Moon - Elizabeth Bennett always gave me a fire/air vibe. I guess since I know that Jane Austen is a Sag, I figured that she put a lot of herself into that character. So I can't help but think of Elizabeth as a Sag Sun. An air moon definitely, so I'll go with your pick of Gemini. And Darcy is a Scorpio or Cap. Haven't thought about his moon before...maybe Leo.

LOL BUD.

Jane,

I went back and forth w/ Ms. Eliza Bennett (being that I've read it and watched the A&E version of P&P about 8 million times...such a geek!) I kept thinking she may also be Cancer sun/Sag Moon. I always thought Cancer would be in there somewhere because she's def. cardinal w/ some serious emotional attachement to everyone's actions. OK...we've got Sag, Gem, Cancer placements...not sure of the order!

I always thought of good ole Mr. Darcy as a Leo sun, Capricorn moon...once again, we have the same planets in different orders...lol. (I've always been a little mixed up by nature, so that's no surprise! )

Xodian...

I haven't seen The Bourne Identity. What about Matt Damon's other character "Will" from "Good Will Hunting?" I'd say there would be a definite sun/merc/uran conjunction in Virgo, maybe? One of those genius placements!

Sattvic...

Love Tom & Jerry. Brought back happy memories!!!

Another just came to mind.
Pippi Longstocking:
Aqua Sun/Cancer Moon

I think Harry potters birthday is the 31st of july 1980...Same date as JK rowling but not year obviously, I think that would make him leo sun Pisces moon.

Dulce & Juno,

Are the birth dates of the characters in the books themselves?

You'll always find Harry's birthday in the book itself. But if want you can go find them on Wiki or the official website (if there is one). But I'm quite positive I've seen the b-dates before.

The rising sign is only an estimate, but it says that Harry is a Leo sun and Aries moon.

Hermione is a double Virgo and Draco is a Gemini/Pisces.

To me it would make sense that Harry's sun sign would match the author's.

great topic i always to this when reading books i cant help it!
i would have thought:
Harry- leo cancer mix.
Ron- sagittarius pisces mix
Hermione-virgo or gemini with leo maybe

What about another world wide phenomenon like Lord of the Rings? My guesses are:
Frodo: Pisces
Sam: Aries or Sag maybe even aquarius or cancer influences-tricky one
Aragorn: Libra with scorpio influences
Legolas: Capricorn or Virgo (but more cappy)
Gimly: Taurus.
Gandalf: Aquarius.
Arwen:Cancer.
Boromir:Aries? hard one..

For Lord of the Rings, here are my picks:

Frodo: Pisces (I completely agree with you kate-Julia!
Sam: Sag with cancer influences (he's a good friend and is protective of Frodo)
Aragorn: Leo (Aragorn is very kingly) with scorpio influences (he's skilled in stealth and has keen senses)
Legolas: Libra with a sag/capricorn influence. He's very well-groomed and he's certainly very dexterous with a bow! (sag represents the archer),
Gimli: Taurus (I have to agree. Gimli loves food and drink)
Gandalf: Aquarius (Totally agree! He's very wise)
Arwen:Cancer (I have to agree. She's very devoted to Aragorn)
Boromir: Gemini with capricorn influences. One on hand he seems so loyal and devoted to Frodo's quest, but on the other hand he has a strong lust for power. He is filled with extremes in his personality. He's loyal and yet disloyal. He's strong and he's weak. He has Middle Earth's best interest at heart, but he's also overcome with
selfish desires.

Bilbo: Gemini with sag influences. He loves adventure and he's a good writer.

8th Moon - Cancer is the sign I'm the least familiar with, so I rarely think of a character as that sign since that sign's kind of an empty spot in the astrology section of my brain. (I should probably learn more about Cancer since it's my Draconic Sun sign.) So your explanation of why Elizabeth seems like a Cancer learned me real good. I've thought it through, and I'd assign Cancer as her Asc since that would give her a Cap Dsc, which we both agree is one of Darcy's luminaries. I wonder what sort of synastry they'd have...ok, now I'm taking this too far. Oh, I own the A&E P&P dvd (that's a lot of letters). I've only watched it in its entirety a couple of times, but there's a certain scene I've probably watched 8 million times.

I really like and can relate to Harry Potter, I'm sun leo and moon scorpio. Well, Harry is, of course, a leo and I thought/hoped he was moon scorpio, he'd have something in common with Voldemort then, he's a scorpio moon (and capricorn sun, just like Ralph Fiennes who plays him!).

Sirius Black being scorpio sun and leo moon.. sounds good to me too.

Oh, I found out that Garfield the cat is also a moon scorpio, and leo venus and cancer mercury like me! Hehe

Love everyone's responses and think it's interesting to see how many chose the same or similar placements for characters!

Jane...You have to tell me which scene...I'm sure I have it memorized!

I always thought of elder sister Jane as a Capricorn, Mary I can't quite figure out...Scorpio?, Kitty as a Pisces, Lydia as an Aries, Mr. Bingley as a Sagg, Mr. Bennett as a Gem, Mrs. Bennett...also Aries maybe Libra?

To throw in a few more romance novels/films...how about "Possession?"

Daniel Ash: Taurus
Christabel LaMotte: Leo
Roland Mitchell: Scorpio
Maude Bailey: Virgo

Has anyone read "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon or "The Time Traveler's Wife?"

On wikipedia, they said that Bart Simpson was born on April 1, 1980. For the location I picked Springfield, Illinois (I know the show is set in a fictional town, so I just picked a state).

Here are Bart's placements:

Sun in Aries
Moon in Libra
Mercury in Pisces
Venus in Taurus
Mars in Leo
Jupiter in Virgo (only at 1 degree; depends on birth time)
Saturn in Virgo
Uranus in Scorpio
Neptune in Sagittarius
Pluto in Libra
