Hi,

I'm not very well-versed in the finer points of astrology, so I'm looking forward to hearing from those wiwth more knowledge and experience than I have. My question is about my spouse's natal chart, which has Retrograde Saturn in Scorpio in the Sixth House as well as Algol conjunct natal Sun in Taurus. (For the record, his birth info is 17 May 1956, 27n11, 56e17, 0630 am - birth time approximate.) Is this the reason he has so much trouble holding down a job? Also, for anyone into horary out there, is there any reason to believe he'll ever be able to find and keep a job in the near future? Thanks!

re: ** 17 May 1956, **
( without birthtime .. )

current 'transit' setup

the Chiron return .. now by retro motion ..
( i.e. transiting Chiron has returned to its natal position )

transiting Neptune ( retro ) conjunct natal Mars
( motivation might be difficult under that transit )

transiting Saturn square to natal Sun ( and conjuncy natal Pluto )
( i.e Sun square Pluto .. at very close orb .. in the natal chart )

sun square pluto thread .. ( control over one's immediate enviroment )

in the natal chart ..
his Sun ..
squares Pluto .. ( 0.25 deg )
sextiles Uranus .. ( 2.27 deg )
opposes Saturn .. ( 3.12 deg )
squares Jupiter .. ( 3.43 deg )
squares Mars .. ( 6.18 deg )

.. various astrology files ..

re: ..
** but what exactly does that mean? **
it means he's having to deal with the transits listed above ..
and .. the natal setup may hold clues as to why he has trouble holding on to a job ..

the sun square pluto aspect denotes he is a person who needs to be in control of his own immediate environment ..
maybe that has something to do with the 'job' aspect ..
or .. if things are not percieved to be under his control he may lose that taurean temper ..
probably doesn't help in 'working for others' ..
( i'm also sun/taurus square pluto/leo .. may '53 )

sun in oppsition to saturn .. see the saturn files in here ..
~ http://www.happydragon.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/jkbx/audiofls.html ~
i daresay that might give a 'job' problem ..
i say 'might' ''cause to every astrological placement *there are two sides to the coin *..

the sextile between sun and uranus .. that could make him a quite independant/individualistic person ..
and the sextile being an 'easy flowing' aspect ..
.. well it could have all sorts of connotations as to working for someone else ..
uranus often equals 'separation' .. if he didn't like a job .. he could possibly easily walk out ..
the 'sextile' would make that almost second nature ..
.. he might be best at self-employment ..

the Chiron transit .. potentially emotionaly difficult ..
i had the chiron return a while back ..
and felt as if certain opportunities in life were now past me ..
felt rather wounded as well ..( the transit lasted about a month )
but i've since learnt that i was wrong ..
basicly a chiron transit can lead to feeling wounded somehow ..
it also can promote scapegoatism in a person ..
in fact i'd say Chiron transits are amongst the most difficult ..
but then again that's my perspective .. as chiron is part of a grand cross in my chart ..

and the neptune to natal mars transit ..
mars equals 'drive/motivation' .. neptune equals diffusion/fogginess ..
( nept to mars could also be a period of 'fantazising/day dreaming' .. rather than 'doing' )
it also has a tendency to rob one of energy ..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
here is a table of direct/retro movement ..
~ http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/013101.html ~
if u figure it .. and do the sums .. you will see most of those above transits have been ..
1 .. going on for quite a while ( on and off )
2 .. are re-aspecting due to the retro movement ..
direct/retro/direct .. often means a person will get 3 hits of a particular transit ..
two text files from Stephen Forrest ..
..** what astrology can and cannot do ** ..
~ http://www.happydragon.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/jkbx/changing.sky.html ~
** about transits ** ..
~ http://www.happydragon.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/jkbx/sf.transits.pa.html ~
transiting saturn to natal sun .. he might 'overwork' somehow ..
or take on a 'load' .. ( might be more difficult with the neptune to mars transit )
be careful with 'health' as flaws can show up under that transit ..
.. look at past saturn/sun transits ..
( saturn is almost like a teacher marking an exam )
in fact .. it's not a bad idea to look at past transits from the 'outer planets'
i.e. those that have aspected the 'personal/inner' planets ..
btw .. does he have an interest in electronics ???
just asking due to the sun/uranus natal aspect ..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
you could try posting your query at astro.com .. in the forum ..
( simply as there's more likely to be a pro astrologer there ..
(although there are one or two here ..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
btw: i normally post transits to inform other k.f.'s as to what the astro setup is ..
i.e. should anyone else want to 'input' .. saves a bit of time ..
i am not an astrolger .. and even if i were .. i would not make predictions ..
gotta go .. stomach is rumbling .. food is calling .. :-)
