Topic: model aspects

i'm not really looking for a complete chart of a model, but what aspects do they typically carry, and can it be a variety of aspects?i'm actually going into fashion retail, i'm not looking into modeling, but i think its interesting. i have aphrodite in libra in the 2nd house, and someone mentiond potential to make money off of looks, modeling. i'm only 5'4 so i can't do runway, but i think theres cosmetic contracts and things like that, don't you have to have a perfect complexion for cosmetics though? and a nice facial and upper body portfolio? ------------------

I've been trying to do some modeling stuff lately, i recently went to an open call for Ford. I've heard that a lot of models have a distinct Gemini placement, I forgot where. Also that they have Sagittarius sun or ascendant-making them taller than average. For more of a commercial model, I'd imagine sun or ascendant in Libra. MANY Libra ascendants/suns have distinct symmetry in the face and a classic beauty.------------------

Well I don't know if this is for regular models or supermodels but Venus De Milo started a thread on supermodels a while back and the thing that someone (I think it was Cranky Cap) came up with was trends: An earth one, an air one,etc. Like for instance, in the 90's most of the models were of the wholesome girl-next-door appeal with curves. That relfected on the fact that earth was dominant in most of their charts. During this decade the models have gotten skinnier, robot like, and icy.... almost like they were made for a video game and not real life. This reflects on the fact that air is dominant in most of their charts.
I'll try and find the thread but It'll take a while.

Lots of Gemini placements, and Venus opposite Neptune were found to be common themes. I'm a Sag rising and I'm only 5'2"... lol... modelling is definitely NOT an option for me.  IP: Logged |

Even at 5'6.5", I'm still considered really short. Not tall enough for runway which is my dream. It sucks being in the middle.IP: Logged |

well Kate Moss is 5'6, 5'5 and under is considered petite for high fashion standards. A lot of designer denim and fur coats are made to fit the nicest on women who are 5'11, and size 2. ------------------

good points, i have noticed that. there was this article in American Vogue (April 2007) that talked about the trend of models getting thinner and thinner, and they showed pictures from the models of the 50's to the models of today, and it was a bit frightening. IP: Logged |

I would like to become a model. I get alot of girls gawking at me. If I could do runway I would love that.. But until then Im trying to get in like super good shape. big muscles and chiseled tone  and hopefully after that and grooming myself, at 6'3 I hope they take me in :/ Its a dream Im pursuing no matter what. Im not sure if there is anything in my chart to suggest it but I will still go for it. wish me luck in the future  IP: Logged |

I remember reading somewhere that Pluto in the 1st house is somewhat common with models, as it gives an interesting, intense, unique appearance that catches your eye. of course, that's probably better suited for high fashion, editorial, and couture, not commercial modeling. commercial modeling... I get girls gawking at me alot too! how weird. I thought 'maybe I am sending out some lesbian vibe?' lol. (nothing against lesbians btw) I wanted to be a model awhile ago too, but alas I am only 5'4" and somewhat curvy... you need to have a boyish figure to do runway. 6'3 is DEFINATELY tall enough... most models are between 5'9" and 6'2".
