Topic: How much weight, Astrology?

I'm emailing with an uber-Leo. Sun, Mercury,Mars, Venus, Jupiter - most conj. in Leo, most of it in my 7th house! Sounds good, but it's not. We have Moon sq. Moon, Moon sq. Merc., my Mars/Neptune sq. all his Leo!! I'm tempted to back out of our meeting...is that crazy? Am I giving astrology too much power in my life? Have you tried bucking astrology only to regret it; or have you found that the stars aren't everything? Help! IP: Logged |

Hahaaa.... sounds a HELL of a lot like my chart except I have a Virgo Sun. GO FOR IT GIRL! You can't live in fear. If you don't do it you'll always wonder what might have been, so just go have fun. The positions of those orbiting balls of gas and rock in the sky can be a rough map of potentials -- but no one can tell from a chart whether those potentials will express positively or negatively. Nor can they tell the maturity of the person expressing the chart. Please have a look here:

To me, the thing that gets lost is the fact that every relationship contains an element of mystery that ultimately can't be defined, can't be explained. The essence of human interchange is like the essence of the person, and the essence of the person is not in the horoscope. I don't think we will ever find it in the horoscope. Bear in mind the fact that the chart you have in front of you could easily be that of a chicken, or of the opera society, for there is nothing in the chart that demonstates that it's human. But something works thru it which is uniquely the individual soul or individuality of the person. I believe this applies also to interchange between two people. The acknowledgement of some kind of mystery, some god at work, I believe is terribly important, because without that, all your techniques leave you, in the end, with unanswered questions. Good Luck!!

Oh Zala, how cool! Thanks for the boosts.  I haven't dated much at all, and maybe I'm looking for excuses to back out! Although part of me is curious to see how the synastry fleshes out in real life! Haven't had anybody people my 7th house so much. First Leo for this Aquarius rising. And this Sunday, I have a first date hydrocycling with an Aquarius who's Sun conj. my Venus and Asc., and his Mars is in my 5th house. Yum! IP: Logged |

Astrology shows only the possibilities, not necessarily the reality. For instance, one of my classmates has a chart VERY similar to Hitler. However, he is the sweetest person I know. He could've been quite dangerous but he chose to live life as a good person.This Leo that you speak of may bring conflict into your life or enhance it. You never know. Ultimately, we control our life and have power over what happens. If you met this Leo online, just make sure that you meet in a public place and make sure you let your family and friends know that you're meeting this Leo. IP: Logged | |
