Topic: Karmic "link" with a country?

Hello all,
I don't know how to explain this, but how could I check if I have some kind of strange, karmic link, relationship, etc with a given country, let's say, France? These last days I have been a little bit moody and I have been remembering some people from my past, well, two boys who made a great impact on my life... and they were French... and the Aqua boy I have mentioned in some posts is French as well  I don't know what to think. My friends used to tease me about it. They used to say "You will end up marrying a Frenchman!"
I would appreciate some kind of feedback.

Hello! How about doing a relocational chart. I am going to France next year :-), because I used to live there and had an intense romance there and two years later the country has not left me. Its like I fell inlove with the country! I have Gemini on the ASC in my relocational synastry and I fell in love with a Gemini!
I feel more like a Gemini there. Outgoing, social not at all shy and reserved like here. I don't know about Karmic links though. One of my friends fell in love with the city of Florence and after coming back to the states, went back a year later because she too fell in love with the city and couldn't stop thinking about the city. She noticed that the city of florence is a Scorpio, Aqua Moon, Venus in Capricorn, and ASC in Capricorn and guess what...so does she!!!! Is that crazy or is that crazy!!!!???????IP: Logged |

go to astro.com .. to the free horoscopes page ..
load up your chart .. then to .. " Astro Click Travel " ..
and check the 'europe' map ( or wherever ) .. 'harmonious aspect lines' ..
see what lines might be crossing France ..has worked for me .. i.e. cross checking places where i've felt certain vibes .. IP: Logged |

Interesting. I have definite Karmic links with certain countries. I do believe there are countries that are more beneficial than others for us, depending on our chart, so a relocation chart can be very helpful. However, I checked the Astro-travel link on Astro.com, and I didn't relate at all to most of the advice given. IP: Logged |

Hey, thank you so much for your replies!! It was very interesting! I was checking in Astro.com site and well, I got a bit shocked. For example, there are hardly lines "crossing" my own country. What may that mean?
And the amazing thing is that most of the lines got crossed somewhere in Northen Norway (or maybe between Norway and Sweden). For some reason, it took me aback. I guess that means there is a lot for energy (for me) going on there, concentrated there.
The funny thing is that somehow Scandinavian countries have always created some kind of fascination on me But I have never ever been there.
Another places I have always been curious about are Greece, Argentina, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Turkey, etc and of course... Italy!! I was there for the first time last September. I spent some days in Rome and it was so strange, in a good way. It gave me so much peace, my soul was calm there... I needed that badly. I don't know how to explain it. I love that city, and it had a healing effect on me. I have always felt very fascinated by Italy, so it was like a dream come true to be there.

SECOND PART (it didn't allow me to post everything together!!):About France and my French men  (I take it with humour), I don't know. I don't know how to explain it. Do the countries, cities, etc have signs? I think there are charts made for countries, etc, right? In that case, what is the sign of France? ...do you understand what I mean?
Maybe I was French in another life, or I have some kind of link with that country or people from that country! Happy Dragon!!!!!!!!! I am so happy to see you again over here!!!! I missed you!

Scandinavian countries have always created some kind of fascination on me .. ** me to :-) .. if i look at the european map / harmonius aspects .. i get a red circle where lines converge in Finland .. right by a fjord :-) .. .. i've not been there but did make a sea journey to the Faroe Islands .. ~ http://www.faroeislands.com/ ~ .. found out i've aspect lines fairly close to those islands as well .. moon/neptune i think ( without rechecking :-) .. ) .. so .. any aspect line show up thru france for you ??
france be Leo ruled btw ..
i keep meaning to make notes on those maps ..
i.e as to where 'vibes' were evident .. or absent ..
but i keep losing trak of the saved pics .. :-))
and .. the 'world map' looks very confusing ..
it seems to draw all the lines possibly available ..
plus .. there are a few more 'circled' spots where the lines converge ..
leaving me .. confused .. 'later .. :-)

Hey!interesting thread..ive always felt a connection with the USA. (Im from the UK) and for years I dreamt of living there. Well i got to on my year abroad. I went to North Carolina and loved it! I found out NC was a saggie sign which is what I am. I also loved the Czech Republic..beautiful country. cool thread IP: Logged |

Wow can't imagine Germany has the Libra sign. If you know how messy the WW2's aftermath is and how heavy the East-West prejudice is hanging above them, you must think Venus is retrograde in its birthchart, probably together with Jupiter and Pluto as well.IP: Logged |

Happy Dragon, I checked the site about countries and cities signs, and I can see that there is not a, let's say, universal agreement regarding this. What data is taken into account to "calculate" the sign of a given country, city, etc?
I checked other sites I found about all this, and for example, Spain appears to be Aries in some, and Saggitarius in others
I have tried to find a site in which I could find the sign of Rome, as I felt a lot of peace in that city, but I haven't been succesful yet. I will let you know.
In the site you gave me, Italy is Gemini, but I think I saw it was Leo in another site. In both cases, that sounds interesting.

sorry .. i forgot to mention that it all should be double checked .. i have doubts about some of the contents on that site .. not to mention the webmasters sanity ..anyhow .. many country 'signs' are questionable ..
the last time i visited the astro.com forum ..
there was an on-going thread about 'what sun sign is britain' .. all i can say .. is that those map aspect lines at astrodotcom ..
coincide with the way i've felt around certain places ..
so i'd be more inclined to pay attention to them .. think i'll go off to the astro map section 'n check some charts ..

you have me curious about rome and italy ..
i quite liked the place myself .. ( except for the pick-pockets :-)
but i was only there for one week near rome .. 'till later then .. :-)

I have a question, if anyone knows how to answer ;-)
If I decide to reside in France and my houses are different there and ASC...do I use that relocational chart for like synastry? Is that the chart I will keep forever?? I am a Gemini ASC in France...I feel it intensly. How would this work??IP: Logged |

you mentioned France? .. Paris? ..
maybe it was another thread i saw ..
check out the Neptune/MC line that runs near Paris :-)
i see you have Moon/MC that's close to the Faroe Islands ..
methinks you might feel good there :-) ...
and it crosses your Jupiter/Asc line at the Hebrides ..
as for 'karmic' try along the Node/DS line :-)
i'm only saying that as i had a strange experience near where that line is in my chart ..
along the lines of 'deja vu' ..  ps .. some music mp3s recently uploaded here ..

i may be wrong .. but i think the houses etc. you got at your place of birth .. count ..
i know transits are sometimes calculated by place of residence ..
although i don't know if that is the correct method ..
e.g i was born in australia .. but now reside in the u.k. ..
i still calculate everything by the australian co-ordinates ..** am a Gemini ASC in France...I feel it intensly. **
check out your astro europe map at astro.dot.com

Once more, sorry for my delay to answer you. I saw your answer the other day, but I just didn't have time to reply at that moment I know you left me your email address but I couldn't write it down, and now I have seen you have deleted it (you know you shouldn't put your email address in a place like a forum, since you may get a lot of spam... not very nice).
You know what? I feel as if Italy is calling me. I have holidays in September and I am still wondering what to do. Today I was suddenly thinking about Florence... and now I am totally shocked after having seen the map you have put in your message! There is a lovely line just crossing Florence! Oh well...
Do you know a web site in which I can read the meaning on those lines? I know in astro.com they give you an explanation, but do you know any other site?
Regarding France (yes, I mentioned that in another post), it is a strange thing because so far I have liked (romantically speaking) 3 Frenchmen (including my Aqua friend, whom I don't want to like. I am trying to focus on the friendship thing, because I don't want to go through the same again, because I think I should like nobody, because I have some trust issues to heal/deal with, because I haven't heard from him for more than a month, so probably he will disappear forever...as it happened with the other 2...) and my friends have always teased me about it. You know, "you will end up marrying a French guy!"
Strange, strange, strange... maybe I should go to visit Paris (for example, but it is SO expensive!!) sometime...What do you think it means that there is not line really going through my country? Maybe it means nothing. Lol Maybe we should organise a trip to the Faroe Islands!!! IP: Logged |

I have never had that kind of experience, but sometimes when I am doing something or having a given conversation with someone, for example, suddenly, I have the feeling that has already happened, that I am just repeating that action, that talk again. I feel, I have a link with France. I get a very positive vibe about France. According to Astroclick Travel, there is Jupiter Trine MC near Paris plus crossings Venus-Jupiter and Sun-Venus on the latitude of Paris.  IP: Logged |

wow... i just checked the astroclick travel ...amazing... i left my country - italy - and ended up in arizona ... didnt mean to but for some reason i ended up here-and here i met a man whom i posted about in the soul union section... i feel really fated to him somehow even if things are not going well now... but in my astroclick i checked my natal connection w phoenix and here s the scary thing: says this is my Pluto /DC axis and here is what says about it :You may also meet another person and have a feeling that this must be fate.
