Mars is about defenses and all about the "how" to go about achieving what we want. Cancer is about the emotions.

They'll use emotional weapons/tools in getting what they want.

This can be guilt trips, buttering someone up, or just orchestrating some profound emotional attachment/appeal in order to create a heighened sense of motivation.

Whatever way they choose, (aspects premitting), it's going to be something that they're comfortable with. Nothing too far out of their comfort zone, if at all.
