Does anyone have actual experience with this combination? Am I correct in assuming it would manifest as the wife on a pedestal with a "**** " on the side or would it be "lady in public, wh-re in the bedroom"? I'm sorry to be so blunt. I'm trying to figure this guy out. He has Leo sun, Gemini moon, and Virgo ascendant, saturn in pisces, and Mercury in Leo. It seems like it would be a hard aspect and difficult for monogamy.

This is what I found on cafeastrology:

quote:
In matters of the heart, you are a youthful, intelligent, and passionate lover, or you are magnetically drawn to partners with these qualities. You do require some "space" and freedom to explore in any relationship, and prefer not to be possessed. However, you can display distinct moments of possessiveness yourself! It is important that your mind is stimulated in love affairs, but you also strongly value subtle, non-verbal levels of communication. You value being friends with your partners as well as lovers, but that can be a challenge for you when you are in your more insecure moods. You are turned off by partners (or potential partners) who are uncommunicative, dull, or lacking in spontaneity. However, you also crave a feeling of security, and a partner who is too outgoing might leave you feeling insecure. You can be a real flirt, but you usually are able to deliver on your promises! You can easily confuse partners by being indifferent and objective one day, and moody the next. Although you thrive on the emotional and physical charge that you get from sex, you are also able to examine it from an impersonal level. You are passionate and intense, yet in some ways you can be the most rational of lovers. Your emotional and sexual needs can be so mixed and varied that a partner is bound to have a hard time knowing what you want and when. It may be a challenge for you to find a deeply satisfying partnership, especially in youth, simply because your romantic and sexual needs are conflicting.
Venus and Mars in side-by-side signs: The things that please you romantically and the things that please you sexually are quite different. What makes you feel loved and desired does not necessarily satisfy you on the level of desire and instinct, and vice versa. One partner could have a hard time attempting to fill your needs. As a result, you could be quite a handful; or, you may find ways to separate your romantic and sexual needs and thus satisfy them individually.

Some Famous People with this Combination: Angie Dickinson, Anna Freud, Grace Princess of Monaco, Larry Hagman, k.d. lang, Dylan McDermott, McLean Stevenson.

Well I don't have a water placement in my Mars but I think I know the confliction you must be feeling.

Another Venus in Libra here with a Saggitarius in Mars. So basically, its a constant enternal inner debate between individualism and partnership. Venus in Libra makes selecting partners a chore to begin with. Add a freedom loving Saggitarius and well... things really go into confliction Lol! Its almost as if I am trying to find a reason as to what is not right with a relationship sometimes.

As negitive as it sounds, I actually wouldn't want it any other way . The day these conflictions stop happening within myself is the day I know I have found the right person.

I also have Venus/Mars in side-by-side signs.(Venus in Gemini...House12,Mars in Taurus...House12).I don't like them both being in H12...I guess both my "romantic" & "sexual" urges are repressed!Gemini Venus....I do enjoy dirty talk!LOL! Taurus Mars...I will patiently perservere until me(& my lover) are "satisfied".

I'm asking more in terms of a man. How does that affect him in a relationship/sex? Does it mean he has to have another partner to satisfy him because he needs to do something "dirty" that he can't share with his wife or girlfriend?

Well that's something you need to answer on your own now don't you? When things end up being so specifically defined in terms of charactersitcs, personality and behavior, there are bounds to be disceptencies in any choice. Its not much of an Astrology thing but a Psy thing.

But to answer your question as it pertains to astrology, yes that is what the little discription you posted says. Since your mars is out looking for someone whose more... sexually raw and your Venus is out lookin for someone whose refined and tasteful, there that inner conflict between the two elements.
