Topic: are instant attractions karmic?

what do you guys think? i talked to a friend about this once and she said she thought instant attractions are karmic..never thought of that..makes sense though
...its weird but instant attractions rarely happen for me even if the guy is attractive, ill notice it but thats about it. a few weeks ago, i met a handsome older man, the moment i met him, i was sort eyelocked with him and felt like we were meeting again(first time meeting) i later found out his sun touches my IC(4th house)...
also his pluto conj my sun.
i know sun conj pluto in synastry(esp if theres a age difference, is a karmic aspect)
also if you ever did have a instant attraction, what synastry aspects did you guys have? thoughts and experiences. IP: Logged |

I once read somewhere that there are ONLY instant attractions, just sometimes your subconsciousness chooses not to acknowledge this, so it doesn`t even reach your consciousness. Don`t know if that is true.Karmic - well, I guess in some cases this might be. But then again, maybe every encounter, that impresses us, is in a way karmic?
Of course there are differences. I know. Well, let`s see, I have had my fair share of "shock-moments", instant attractions, mostly unwanted by me btw. I felt attracted despite I knew it wouldn`t be mutual.
1. A boy, I almost became intimate with, but he didn`t really care for me, so I`m glad, I pulled the emergency brake so to speak. Still, I felt a strong physical attraction to him. But even though it was definitely an instant attraction on my part, I don`t think it was very karmic. Only hormones. 
My Venus opposite his Moon
my Uranus conjunct his Mars
my Vertex conjunct his Saturn There were very little synastric aspects, and I think my attraction was really due to this Uranus-Mars-conjunction.
2) A boy I fell instantly in love with in a romantic, dreamy way; I thought that maybe there was something soulmate-like between us, but even though both of us were sneaking around each other, nothing ever happened, and yet, oh soo dreamy, innocent and pure. *sighs*

My ASC conjunct his Neptune Well, we had a Sun-Saturn-dw, so maybe it was karmic. 3) An elder man, I fell hopelessly and insanely in love with. For some years I was convinced he was my Twinsoul. My Sun trine his Uranus

My Venus trine his Venus
My Venus trine his Pluto
My Mars square his Pluto
My Saturn exacctly square his Sun
My Uranus opposite his Venus

My ASC square his Pluto (There were also a lot of close Mercury-aspects; the widest aspect being 2,5°:

his Mercury opposite my Pluto

his Mercury trine my ASC
his Mercury conjunct my IC Maybe that was significiant, since Mercury is both our DSC-ruler and rules also his 4th house) Oh interestingly his Sun fell into my 4th house, like you described it with that older man. I`m fairly sure, this was a karmic encounter, even though not meant to bloom into a happily-ever-after-relationship. DD

Yes, it happened long ago also with someone older than me. Interesting sinastry with three grand trines: Mercury Neptune Saturn, Mercury Neptune Pluto, Mercury Neptune Mars. In my case It was a Sun (his) oppositin IC and we had Vertex and Nodes contacts : my Pluto conjunct his Vertex And his Jupiter conjunct mine. His Saturn, Pluto Mars conjuncting my North Node and my Chiron conjuncting his.

that has always been my thought on the deep, intense encounters, attractions we have with some and not others,,,,if not karmic then certainly have past life implications!!!!IP: Logged |

I believe that there is something karmic about instant attractions. I have only had 3 occasions in my whole life that i felt that way and i never followed through with getting to know them  IP: Logged |

First off, I definitely have "a type." I prefer men with dark (curly) hair, piercing blue eyes, and a tan! I've always attributed this to having Scorpio on my Dsc.So, I met this guy several years ago who fit the bill. My heart stopped when I saw him. I started stumbling over words, and generally embarrassed myself. It was evident to everyone I was very attracted to him... despite the fact we were, and still are, very different people. In other words, the relationship would never work in the long run. I eventually found out his Sun & Venus were exactly on my Dsc. He didn't know the exact time of birth, but had an approx time. If his birthtime was correct +/- 10 minutes on either side, he had a Capricorn Asc; and it would have been conjunct my MC. His Pluto was also conjunct my Venus (though not a tight orb). There were other aspects too, but those were the biggest. I don't know if we had a karmic relationship, but there was definite chemistry on both sides, and an instant attraction on both our parts. His Moon, Venus, Mars in her 8th house
His MC and Node in her 7th house
Her Neptune, Node, Sun, Mercury, Venus in his 4th house
His Sun trine her Venus
HIs Sun opposite her Jupiter
His Sun square her Neptune / Node
His Sun square her ASC
His Moon conjunct her Saturn
His Venus conjunct her Vertex
His Mars conjunct her Saturn
His Mars conjunct her Vertex
HIs Uranus square her Node / ASC
His Neptune square her Moon

I guess it depends on whether you're talking about past lives, karma or both. And maybe that would have to include what your definitions are for those concepts.I have had that instantaneous 'knowing' with both men and women. With the women it was like instantly understanding that we were going to be friends and that we had a deep connection. I have always felt with these women that we have shared past lives. With the men it was similar but with a deeper sort of intimate understanding of who they were. Like I knew their core subconsciously but what it was I knew about them, I couldn't articulate. I could just feel it. And as for the attraction factor with the men I definitely feel that it was karmic as well as a past life thing. When I met my ex for our first date, by the end of dinner I knew with every cell in my body that I was going to fall in love with him. That was weird, but awesome. And in our case, most certainly karmic. IP: Logged |

I think they are - but if you have Venus aspecting Neptune tread carefully.Sun, Moon or asc ( can't remember which one ) aspecting NN gives you love at first sight. bless  ------------------

When I saw the man in question the first time , I only saw him briefly and only in profile...crossing a trafficlight. I felt an overwhelming sense of recognition, cant really explain, 'recognition' is the only word that describes it correctly. Later on I found out that we had a venus opposite saturn double whammy and lots of venus and angle contacts. Also two of the contacts that erato mentioned in her post.....his Venus conjunct my DC and his ascendant conjunct my MC....I 'remet' him about a year ago at a conference and the link is still there, but it hasnt been possible to get the relationship off the ground...this as well as that recognition feeling during our first account I ascribe to saturn...definitely a karmic relationship, it's not over till it's over, until then, I cant get him out of my system IP: Logged | |
