I've been reading about the transneptunians lately. They're pretty interesting. Does anyone have experience using them in natal charts? Have you found that the transneptunians in your chart are insightful?

On astro.com, the transneptunians are "other hypothetical planets." Cupido is different from cupid(the asteroid) the former meaning general happiness, community, and art- not just happiness in love.

Here is a good link:
http://www.astrologysoftware.com/resources/articles/getarticle.asp?ID=155

And another: http://www.astrologer.ru/Witte/biography_eng.html

My cupido is in my 6th house along with poseidon and appolon. I have evil hades in the 12th..conjunct saturn...figures.

I like my Kronos in the 1st. It's sextile chiron, opposite neptune and in a tight trine with my sun.

Hades in Greek mythology is the god of the dead/underworld. His Roman counterpart is Pluto. So Pluto is evil as well?
Asteroid 763 Cupido and H40 Cupido have more in common than those keywords in your site. You have to remember the times in which they were written. Hamburg school has evolved with the times.

Well, the descriptions I've read about Hades are all negative things. And it doesn't help that it's in my 12th house, conjunct saturn.
I don't think Pluto is evil, but it can be scary for people. You always hear people complaining about Pluto transits with unabashed fear and dread. They do this with Saturn as well. Unlike Hades, Pluto has an alternative reading promising the possibility of transformation(after much suffering).

I just haven't read any positive spin on Hades yet.

Really? I kind of liked it that they were somewhat different. One was more about romantic love while the other was more about a less focused, and maybe less self-serving kind of love.

These move so slowly, so I guess house placement is more personally significant than sign.

I agree.

"Transneptunians" does sound like pisces crossdresser's!

Poseidon is an intriguing one. To have it in your 12th would seem almost exalted. Lucky you! (Mine's in the 6th sextile moon in the 8th.) Are you very artistic?

I actually read about these in a book I have. It has descriptions for all of them, but doesn't go into the aspects, which I think are really important when dealing with them.

quote:
I wonder if its house placement points to the area of life where we seek enlightenment & inspiration, while the sign it's in describes the way in which we go about it.

I'd say that sounds spot on.

I seem to have a majority of them in my 6th house, next in abundance would be my 12th house, and then the three others are scattered among my first, fifth, and second houses.

Yes, the arts have always been a big part of my life.
It's too bad your book doesn't go into aspects. I guess we'll have to figure out what it means on our own.
I think your Poseidon sextile is very interesting...Does your 8th house Moon grant you a deep understanding of other people, unable to make a superficial appraisal of others? I think if Poseidon really is meaningful, it would strengthen that ability, especially since it's in your 6th house...it's just a normal part of your day to see past other's pretenses. Good fun. Perhaps it would also bring a lot of disappointment though, since your Poseidon would like to find inspiritation & spiritual depth in others, & let's face it, most people aren't offering that type of connection! That's my shot at interpreting that aspect. Completely off the mark? Oh just noticed your moon is in Sag...I think that would make you more philosophical & detached in your analysis, still seeking depth in others but less emotionally frustrated if you don't find it.

Yeah, it would've been nice if it did...but I bet we can figure it out by putting our heads together.

Yes, I am very much that way. Sometimes I wish I wasn't.

It does bring a lot of disappointment. I can spot a phony every time. That's a good thing, but there are so many fake people out there. I guess it makes me appreciate the real people when I find them, though.

You were right on the mark! Thanks! Maybe the sag influence makes me a bit "clinical" about it; I sometimes toy with the idea of getting my Masters in Psychology. I also think it may make me integrate what I find with the meaning of life and how everything and everyone is interdependent.

I want to comment on your aspects, but today isn't the best day to do it. I'm feeling blocked and tense. It would turn out badly. When I am feeling this way I actually become superficial myself - I don't want to get too deep, because I am way too intense, so I try to pretend I'm not. I will definately do it when I am feeling less so. I hope that will be soon. I think I may be feeling this way because saturn is in an anaretic degree and I'm very saturnian. (Lucky me, right?)

Kronos conjunct sun
Zeus in 1st house square Sun
Apollon opp Moon (that one seems kind of funny to me)
Admetos is exactly opp Cupido, would that mean something like stable or loyal love???? but they're in opp so maybe not...i don't know.

speaking of tranneptune planer dose any one know what the black sun is?
I've never heard of it before
I found the glyph for it on this site http://www.astrologyweekly.com/learn-astrology/astrology-glyphs.php

Yay!
I will now start a hunger strike until you interpret my aspects. Of course, I'd always welcome your opinion, but I'm a no-strings attached type in many ways, including with discussing astrology. If inspiration strikes, please fire away, if not, no worries.

In the 12th house you say? Yeah, in a fantasy would make sense OR we could lounge around wearing only diapers in an institution.
Interesting placements you two have! That Juno-Jupiter dw is a keeper. If you'd like, I'll shoot one of my arrows at Zeus Boy.

One of the sites Mustang linked to describes Hades' function as: "Disgust concerning evil, all ill and unpleasant, purification."
So maybe you would enjoy a career that purifies? Calling those in power out on their corruption (maybe journalism?) or something that deals with cleaning up the environment? Or locking away the bad guys? Or janitor?
