Hello,

I have experiences, that if the house ruler is somewhere else (most of the time) and has square or opposition to the planet in that house, there is no big luck.
My example: ruler of my 7th is Mars in Leo. In 7th house is Sun. They have square to each other. That means, there is no marriage at all; if yes, then marriage lasts for about two years (my two friends, too).

It is same for each house (2nd - money; 5th - children ect.)

What is your experience?

Well, I would much rather think in terms of rulers of houses aspecting rulers of houses, because it would give me a clue of how the 2 sections of my life get along.
In your case, I imagine is ruler of the 7th squaring ruler of the... 11th? This could mean that there is a conflict between your partners and your friends - none like the other.

Izo,

I would definitely second that, not mixing the different areas (planets and houses) too much.
I think a conjunction of ruler of 7 to ruler of 1 may be more important than ruler of 7 conjunct Mars. It may still have an influence, but it is mixing up the different layers of the chart a bit. However, maybe this thinking just comes from my wanting to not have TOO many different connections, it can get confusing in the end.

But I sometimes wonder how an interaspect between the house ruler and the natural planetary ruler of the house would play out.
For example: Mars is the natural ruler of the 1st house; Jupiter is the ruler of my personal 1st house, since i have Sagittarius-ASC.
The ruler of the 1st house and Mars have some similiar symbolism (even though they are not identical). Both can tell you something about how you get active, assert yourself and such things. So if those two are square, what does that mean for my selfassertion?
Mars is in Sagittarius conjunct my ASC - so that would probably mean, that I am very capable of asserting myself. But the ruler of my 1st house is in Pisces, a hint that I am a bit sensitive and rather evade conflicts than solving them?
Well, in my case the whole thing about selfassertion gets even more complicated, since Mars is also conjunct NEptune, so this dreaded Neptune is sitting on my capability to assert myself and kind of holds me back. Maybe I am fantasizing about asserting myself instead of really doing it?

In Natasha`s example, I`d also look for the house-rulers to see where the conflict comes from, but I would also look to the houses Mars and Sun are placed in, because I think where the planets are int he houses, there is the action, there is the conflict taking place.
In this case some conflicts would be expressed in relationships.

Hello Izo,

I want to say, that I have Sun (in Taurus) in 7th. Ruler of 7th is Mars. Mars is in Leo, 10th house. As my Sun is in Taurus, means Sun is in square with Mars. They beat each other. They are enemies. They don't allow happy and long marriage. You can have very good other houses and planets, but here is only 7th and only Sun in square with ruler of 7th, Mars

I want to see somebody happily married with such a connection.

Sorry, Natasha, but I don`t believe this. This sounds so fatalistic, like you can`t change anything about it and are basically doomed to never be happy in a relationship. I donīt believe this has to be this way.

I agree, that it might be very difficult and challenging to maintain a good and harmonious marriage with those placements, but I don`t think it`s impossible. I believe in free will and working on a relationship.

HOwever, my eldest friend has that constellation as you described. Her Sun, Moon and Venus are in Aquarius in 7th house, and all of those planets square URanus, the modern ruler of 7th house, and Venus even opposes Saturn, ancient ruler of 7th house.

I admit, she has had to endure tragic loss when it comes to relationships. But she has been in a firm relationship for 3 or 4 years again now, and she is still very happy with her boyfriend. Of course they haven`t married yet. But to me the 7th house is not only about marriage, but about lasting and firm relationships, and those two are living together and basically see themselves as husband and wife, and it works fine between them. NOt very traditionally (how could it with Uranus squaring those planets?), but they are very satisfied and happy in their relationship.

Hello darkdreamer,

My two good friends (one of them was my love) have that as I have: both of them were (each) two years married. They are not the youngest and I don't believe, they are going to marry again.
It is also true, both of them had long relationship, but that is difference from marriage. One of them is AC Libra, other is AC Capricorn. None has 7th in Aquarius or Uranus in 7th.
I don't say, everybody has to marry, I am not living 300 years ago, just analyzing who is getting married and who is not (from Astrology side).
