I sooooooo know what you mean! I went in for a trim...thats it, just A TRIM and came out w/ hair 10 times shorter than I even came close to considering....I guess I can only make myself feel better by thinking "at least it's healthy now w/out split ends" still there is sadness....

I had the opposite outcome. I trimmed my hair myself, which is something I never do. It looks better than most professional cuts I've gotten. *shrugs*

Well Mustang I guess you got lucky.

I'm sorry to hear that MISS ARIES, if its of any consolation to you....my situation is pretty bad. Against my better judgement I went to go get bangs done.....and now I look like a mom. What's even worse it that my hair is now the wrong color too. I've never realized how oval my face was but know its sooooo obvious with these bangs. Gahhhhh!

I knew astrologers advise against doing hair during this period but I was anxious for a change and threw caution to the wind.

I hope you didn't pay for it. I've gotten to where when they pull that on me I just walk out. There's nothing they can do, especially if you leave your info for small claims court. lol. They have no right to do just what they want to do to begin with but they have nerve expecting to be paid for it.

I did get lucky.

I feel so bad for you! Why can't hairdressers cut bangs?! Everyone I know who gets them (including me) has to fix them themselves. My sister recently added bangs and the person who cut them made them too thin. She ended up cutting them herself and she finally got the "bangs she always wanted." (Her words.) They look good now. I thought about adding a sweeping bang, but opted not to - that's tricky. I was conservative, only cutting a little bit at a time.

What's the problem with your bangs? Is there not enough of them; too short; not thick enough? Maybe you can fix them. Oval faces are nice - it's the "perfect" shape.

Thanks guys. The thing is that she cut them exactly the way I wanted them....it was just my bad judgement in thinking it would suit my face.

The problem with the bangs is that they're actually too long for my face. But if I try fixing them myself I'm afraid I'll cut them too short and the whole thing will be irreversable. I guess I'll try sweeping them to the side.

As for the color; its too light. I wanted it more of a burgundy and its just brown. Bleck....

Dulce, I was always told the difference between a good haircut and a bad one in one week.

Sorry deary, but you'll just have to give it a little time to grow out and not look so severe. At least you can do something about the color. You can always darken it a bit.

Thanks for the warning! I was about to go and get mine reshaped. Now I think I'll just wait.

aah now I feel lucky that I cut my hair right before Venus retro.. ^_^; I'm not a firm believer of fortune-telling, but I still have the caution of not doing certain things during certain times (blame the Chinese superstitious culture that brainwashed me XP )..
but well, dunno if it's Venus retro's influence or not, but my hair is getting annoying in the past days lol.. T_T sometimes it looks so well, but sometimes it's so hard to tame it.. ugh..

Yeah, feel ya. I'm Mozambican so my mind's been "poisoned" by the same type of superstious culture. I'm still shooting myself over why I decided to ignore it that day.
