Well for me personally I definately project my gemini ascendant but on the inside I feel completely my leo moon.My pisces sun is extremely strong within me as it conjuncts my venus, very few people see my true pisces side though, my leo moon and gem rising overpower it. I think asc and moon have MORE influence on me than my sun. IP: Logged |

Good question...So if my ascendant is how people see me And my moon is how I feel Is my sun who I am? And what is the difference of who I am compared to how I feel. hard to tell apart since I have sun and moon in cancer.(7th house) IP: Logged |

hi ^_^ Ascendant can be interpreted as the filter (mask) of your planets' energies. It can also be interpreted as the controller of how you release/show these energies. Just imagine that there's a shell around these energies, and there are 4 release points (AC/DC/IC/MC). AC is the release point that controls how the planets' energies manifests within yourself (your personality, attitudes, etc.) - as DC is the release point of your energies when you are relating with others. So basically, all the planets' energies carries some traits of the sign of your ascendant, when it comes to your own personality, attitudes, etc.. ^_^For example, I have a stellium of Sun/Moon/Venus/Mercury in Aries, and ascendant in Virgo. You can say that I'm very Aries deep inside, yet my Virgo tends to control my Arian sides (like telling myself to behave, have manners, etc., which can sometimes be annoying lol). ^_^ IP: Logged |

My Pisces Sun is who I am when i feel secure enough to take off my Leo ascendent mask but my Sag moon is always relating to how to stay "free"-very few see the Pisces side and mostly i operate as the more fiery type the Leo and Sag represent. confusedly, Tuxie ps where is thirteen to put it into plain talk?IP: Logged |

I agree with Comica: my Capricorn Asc serves the purpose of filtering how much of my cancer sun most people get to see (which is not much) but there are still alot of Capricornian things I don't really identify with....it really is just a mask. I think my moon is stronger because alot of my needs are very virgoan, hell I think its stronger than my sun, it is my core.IP: Logged |

the rising sign is the personality and what you are outside. To me, its how i behave. the sun sign is what you aim for, your goals, and who you want to be. Probably thats why people say its your conscious self? To me, my sun is not always present because unfortunately its tucked away in the 12th house. the moon is your emotions. To me, when i feel like doing something, its my moon. Its the real me, probably because i have a water sun sign which might give the moon more importance. I have a heavy water chart.i can tell the difference so well because i have sun moon opposition. and my sag rising comes out of nowhere.. Conclusion is.. they have equal influence with different functions. =] IP: Logged |

I don't put much thought to my leo asc, to me it's more of a bother. Like my bad sides that I feel like I have to work with. Maybe it's due to my aqua sun?? I don't know. To me, I feel like my cancer moon is more important... I don't know. They can actually both be a bother, the moon and the asc. oh well. IP: Logged |

I disagree, Sun is not just who you want to be, but who you are. It is your conscious self, your ego, while Moon is your unconscious self, your emotions, reactions, fears... All that is covered by the Ascendant, how you look at the world and behave in it (planets conjunct Ascendant matter a great deal) and what many people first notice about you. I wouldn't say that one of them is more influental, as they play completely different roles. But in general if you have highly aspected Ascendant for example, and weaker Sun and Moon, the Ascendant can overpower them a bit. IP: Logged |
