Somehow I feel slightly aggravated by these lyrics. Waylon Jennings: Gemini sun and Mercury, Virgo rising, Virgo moon, Venus in Taurus, Mars in Scorpio. GEMINI SONG (WHEN I'M BAD I'M BAD) I could tell you a story from another day in time How a high falootin' woman tried to make me walk the line She was into changin' too damn hard to please And the last time I saw her she was down on her knees Born under the sign of the Gemini twins There's two sides to me and they ain't even friends All sides are rising and there ain't no in between When I'm bad I'm bad when I'm good I'm the best you ever seen Sometimes I'm out a prowlin' and carryin' on Too high to know when it's time to take it home When I'm like that it's hard to leave the women alone It ain't easy thinkin' right with a good looking wrong For another sign of the Gemini twins this two sides to me and me ain't even friends All sides are rising in the rainbow in between When I'm good I'm good when I'm bad I'm the worst you ever seen TThere's a good hearted woman waitin' when I come in She don't wasting time and asking me about where I've been She keeps it all together and to wish that you could see Know she goes about bring it out the best side of me Born under the sign of the Gemini twins There's two sides to me and they ain't even friends All signs are rising, and there ain't no in between When I'm bad I'm bad when I'm good I'm the best you ever seen.

I discovered another Gemini singer yesterday: Brandon Flowers of The Killers. I think I'm drawn to some Gemini singers for some reason. I've always loved singing along with Morrissey. I enjoy Alanis Morrisette's lyrics to a certain degree. Brandon seems to have mostly poor lyrics, but I enjoy singing along with him as well. There also seems to be a mainstream appeal in Gemini bands. Paul McCartney in the Beattles, Prince, Morrissey in The Smiths, Alanis Morrisette, Brandon in The Killers, Dave Navarro had a big part in making Jane's Addiction enjoyable, Nick Rhodes & John Taylor helped define the sound of Duran Duran, etc. Geminis and music is an interesting topic to me. Hi SolarJ,No,...well, I mean there is. You could google, "Famous Geminis" or something, but generally my curiosity get the best of me, and I just look up the name. There's generally a wikipedia or imdb website that comes up, and either will have the person's birthday. If you know the birthday, you know the Sun sign. I sometimes have to look at a horoscope that shows the birthdate range if the person's birthday falls near a cusp. Also, I've been into astrology for a while, so I know a lot off the top of my head. YES AG! I also love Morrissey and singing along with him... he's also a Scorpio moon like me. ha! Strangely enough I always liked something about Brandon Flowers and I am also a Duranie from way back (although I prefer Simon, who's a Scorpio). My liking of the Gemini singers is obviously related to my Venus in Gemini and Gemini DC. Oh and I also love singing to Prince and Kylie Minogue...Hmm... I'll need to look up the Manic Street Preachers' placements, because I love singing along with them too. I still think Waylon Jennings has kind of an 'attitude' towards women though. IP: Logged |

You're probably right about that. He's part of the "Outlaw" club. He's got an image to maintain. What else do you know about Morrissey's chart? I've always been curious. He's so literate, and seems gloomier than the typical Gemini. IP: Logged |

True AG - I hear another song of his which I think is called 'Good Hearted Woman', and although I like the song the lyrics grate on me when he says she's home waiting for him putting up with all his crap, lol. (Ok he didn't use those words but that's how I interpret it). It's generally in keeping with a particular time period and group image though, as you said.As for Morrissey, unfortunately I can't find his birth time anywhere so I can only guess at his rising sign. Would Capricorn rising tend him towards that gloominess? I've also seen him be quite grumpy in some interviews! He has Mercury in Taurus (also like me ), and Mars and Venus in Cancer. He's a 0 degree Gemini sun, so this is basically Taurus/Gemini cusp isn't it? He also has sun-moon opposition with his moon at 29 degrees Scorpio (conjunct his Jupiter). He also has moon opposite Mercury. He has sun square Pluto. Pluto square sun and moon... sounds like a nasty t-square... actually I should go put this in astro.com and just post a chart... Venus opposite Saturn - I wonder if this reflects his publicly-proclaimed celibacy and his lyrics about being alone (also on his MySpace he claimed to be still a virgin at age 40 or whatever age he was at the time! Not so anymore, I would assume, since he got a boyfriend recently). Oh btw, I just noticed his Saturn is in Capricorn.

I always wondered if he had a Cap ascendant, because that would explain why I empathized with his lyrics so much. I'm Gemini Rising, though, so that may be it. I just wonder if he had opposite Sun and rising signs from me. Scorpio rising would give him an 8th house Sun like mine.I've only known one Sun Opposite Moon person, but based on that person I'd say that it's a pretty stressful aspect. Looking at it I see he's got a couple t-squares as well. That can sour a person's personality at times (while propelling the person forward at other times). North Node in Libra suggests that maybe he's uncomfortable reaching out to people. You know he recently turned down $75 million to get back together with Johnny Marr for a Smiths reunion tour? His Saturn sits at the degree of my Sun. My Mars sits between his Moon and Jupiter. IP: Logged |

I'm sun opposite moon with two t-squares! Hehe, I don't think I've got a soured personality... then again my chart ruler is Jupiter. I'll have to look again at the synastry I did with him, but I think our Mercury's are conjunct.Didn't he say that he prefers relating to animals than to people? IP: Logged |

My girlfriend has a couple t-squares as well. I wouldn't say her personality is sour all the time or anything. Far from it. But there are times. My chart's focused on the 7th house, so I couldn't ever be as anti-social as him. We do share Saturn opposite Venus. IP: Logged |

Scorpio moons like their privacy and their alone time... and he has Pluto square his Scorp moon in the t-square, so that must intensify this characteristic for him. I have Saturn in 7th, I wonder if that's a similar kind of thing to Saturn aspecting Venus?"... and I will undoubtedly die alone". "The woman of my dreams, she never came along..." Where exactly would you pinpoint sentiments like these in his chart?

Hmm... anti-social animal campaigner... sounds a bit like Brigitte Bardot. Sag risings (like Brigitte) are animal lovers, but I don't see Morrissey as a Sag. I'd be interested to see if he and Brigitte have any aspects in common...Edit: I just checked and she's a Gemini moon. Interesting. She also has Pluto in the 8th house at the apex of t-square with Uranus and Mercury. She also has Venus and Neptune square moon (conjunct her DC)... I wonder if this reflects the fact she has been married SEVERAL times... I'm digressing... Interesting enough, Morrissey and BB don't share any of the same placements. IP: Logged |

I just noticed the stellium in Scorp(Duh ). That probably explains a lot: bringing a concentration of emotional energy into a Sun sign that isn't at ease with it. Gemini would rather be logical, and not bogged down by depth of emotions. IP: Logged |

Yeah I'm just listening to him right now. And it's so weird I sometimes I get tears in my eyes for no real reason when I listen to Morrissey, I just feel like I can relate to him so much. It has to be the moon connection. Plus the (sometimes what I feel are ridiculously strong) Venus and DC ties that I seem to have to Gemini. Ohhh.... wait... do you think it could be because my natal Pluto squares my DC??? I think the orb might be slightly too wide but I do know that Pluto squares my AC for sure.IP: Logged |

I was just singing along with Hatful of Hollow on the way home. I love the alternate recordings of those songs. In my depressive years I'd feel his songs to a greater degree than I do now. Now I listen with a certain detachment, and don't take the lyrics personaly. IP: Logged |

Hmm, makes sense AG. Now that I think of it, when I was depressed I did take his lyrics a lot more personally too. I think I'll always relate just because of the moon thing... a friend of mine who's an eighth house stellium says she can relate to his lyrics too. Something else I love about his lyrics is the dry sense of humour/wry wit - that's something that I usually see in Capricorns. Maybe that's his Saturn aspects showing? What do you think his rising sign might be?IP: Logged |

I still would like a Capricorn ascendant. That could put Saturn in the 1st like I have. I'm not sure, though.Scorp ascendant puts his Sun in the 8th, which could work. IP: Logged |

I'm leaning strongly towards Capricorn rising. He just doesn't strike me as a Scorpio rising - then again maybe I would have to meet him in person to get a real impression. To me he appears quite strong, especially since he's gotten older, but in more of a stalwart way rather than the 'intensity' that you'd expect of a Scorpio rising. Getting older seems to suit him - this would work with Cap rising and Saturn in the first house, don't you think? IP: Logged |
