Because it's so fun and feels great to play...makes my soul want to leap miles on end, even though I am just a beginner lol!   ------------------

Sure is Lol! However, what really struck me about the movie was the fact that Salma Hayek actually did a song for it in Spanish! And mind you we aren't talking about some Paris Hilton No-talent compilation here. I mean the song is simply amazing. Here have a listen (though it may be hard to udnerstand if you don't know Spanish Lol!)

I play because it's fun.There was a time when I decided I had to stop using my music as a first impression. It tends to draw good people and all, but I stopped wanting that to be the one thing people knew about me. It's more fun to surprise acquaintances. IP: Logged |

I play because its relaxing and fun and i like to learn new things i don't use it to pick up females and i don't use it to show off and i don't use it to try to be rich and famous or popular i am none of these things. I do it selfishly and thats because i like to play guitar. Although i should use it a little to my advantage to pick up females, you never know it may work, lol... I play because it makes me feel good also. I am sure you guys have felt this, when you sort of go into a trance, and when you look at the time, hours have passed, and you have been playing for ages...? And what's nice about those moments is that, I walk away feeling really energized. AG, yes... I used to hide it too and not because of the first impression thing so much but because of the endless requests that one gets after people find out you play. So, yeah, I play the guitar for my own pleasure. It is a very self involved thing to say, but it also pleases some people as a result, so everyone can benefit.

If I wanted to rationalise it...I play because I can't help thinking up new songs due to my inexhaustible creative instincts. I do pop, comedy, the lot.
