I always have questions and comments about astro. You probably do too, lets learn from each other.

My current comment is:

Hey everyone, go to astro.com and check out the new sample child horoscope by Liz Green. I planned to check out my child's info but it was set to me initially so I looked at mine. I liked it a lot. Check out your top 4.

My question is:

What do the " ' " apostrophe things mean in synastry and comp "extra tables" data. It isn't a square, trine, Quincunx, yadda yadda.. its an.... apostrophe????
I hope someone can solve the mystery.

I think the child report says too little as an introduction to it. It's also pretty expensive. You can probably get a cheaper, but different one from Grupo Venus. I can send you a copy of the one I got for myself from there if you want.

Yay! My friends!

Absolutely AG, send away. I think I went to groupovenus once and bookmarked it, but goodness knows where it is among the sea of bookmarked astro pages. I get to see your little boy chart?

Librarian Zala to the rescue but it seems it is still a mystery.... hehe Yes, I think I remember seeing the apostrophe marks included with regular aspects too and not just on their own. Velllly intelesting.

I don't have your email. I could send it through HSC maybe? I sent him an email with it asking him to pass it on, so hopefully that will work.

Did you mean this Mystic?

quote:
' The apostrophe shown with some aspects of the additional tables marks those aspects which have a large orb (above 50% of maximum orb), and which should probably be ignored. By doubling the number of planets, the probability of an aspect is increased, and orbs should be reduced accordingly. This is true for any chart which is the result of a combination of two different charts

(the quote is from Astro.com)

Ok, Nightjar, so that means that the apostrophe is seen on aspects that are over 5 degrees? And those aspects should then be ignored because it is using two charts so double the planets. So, if the apostrophe appears in a box by itself, the orb was even larger so they didn't even list it?
I think I'm more confused now if that is possible

AG, very cool. I will check my gmail. I'll send you the address.
