It's up to you.If you use Modern Astrological classifications, then Uranus. Otherwise, if you're more tied to Classical ..then use Saturn. It seems most people lately have been using the modern classification system, because we're now not only fully aware with but familiar with the outer planets. IP: Logged |

Hi Alia I would say check them both. See which one is angular and which one has more aspects to the rest of your chart. Uranus and his sign will show you where you prefer a more unconventional, liberal attachment and Saturn and his sign will point to a more serious committed preference in your partnerships

Sorry didn't mean it that way. Only meant it based on my experience. I have Capricorn descendant...7th house. I'm not like that at all. My love life is not a mess.I just found that I cannot relate to a man romantically who has this placement. Yet I have it. Weird right? I find men with Capricorn/Sag/ & Aqua influences to be a challenge. IP: Logged |

OMG Jay - that's because you project ur 7th house qualities upon them - instead of acting them out yourself. that's always a risk with the 7th house and oppositions between planets. One gains awareness by distancing themselves – that’s how an opposition ‘works’. Aquarius was ruled by Saturn ages ago, when "there were no" Uranus, Pluto, Neptune. Now that we know they exist, and our consciousness grew along with our ability to differentiate more complex concepts , we cannot pretend we don't, we cannot go back. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus.
Having a load of Saturn and Uranus myself, I find it silly to throw away knowledge and go back in time several centuries, or step down a few levels of awareness. Maybe if somebody gave me a good reason for it, I’d see the point. Let's not chose rulers based on our emotional attitudes and preconceptions. Saturn and Uranus have things in common - but then again, they all do. And also – you can’t cherry-pick what you like – if you do consider the old text-books (and Saturn ruling Aqua) then you must take on the rest of that theory too. Back then, Mars and Saturn were the bad guys, and there was no ‘change’, no growth, no self-awareness, no transformation (no Uranus, no Pluto, no Neptune). Are you sure you want to live in that primitive world – just bc you don’t ‘like’ having Uranus ruling over your 7th? That line of thought – of planets being ‘bad’ or ‘good’ – belongs in the past. As long as ‘change’ and ‘transformation’ exist, we are no longer trapped in our destinies (charts). Just don’t forget that we also have Neptune ;-)
