Hey there fellow Knowflakes!

I was wondering if some of you could share some of your experiences in regards to some famous aspects in synastry! The ones that I have in mind are...

-Sun conjunct Moon (square/opposition/trine as well)
-Moon conjunct Mars/Venus
-Mercury in aspect to any planet.
-Mars conjunct Venus (and does it make a difference if it is the woman's mars conjunct the man's venus?)
-Uranus contacts to any planet, especially from the Sun to Jupiter.

I'll go first. I've never experienced a Sun/Moon conjunction (by degree) in a relationship, so naturally, I'm curious about this. But I have experienced Sun/Moon opposition and square. In the opposition, I was the Sun, and in the beginning, things were peaches and cream! I loved them to death and couldn't get enough of them. But as time went on, I realized that their values were too different from mine, to the point where I could no longer support them and vice-versa. No ill-feelings towards each other even to the end, but I noticed that I'm always the first to pull away or break it off.

In the square, I was the Moon. Lots of friction felt in both parties I believe, but there was never a moment of boredom, lol! I've got an Aries moon, and I just happen to love Cancer/Cap suns! But this so-called stressful aspect could've been lessened by my Virgo sun.

Moon/Mars conjunction where I was the Mars. I felt like the dominate one! The one who was calling all the shots and the Moon person was always backing me up, which I found very comforting. I don't know if this points to anything sexual, but I was somewhat attracted to the Moon person. Nothing sexual ever happened, so I'm still left in the dark.

As for Mercury, I somehow feel that this planet often gets overlooked, and on top of that, I've never had any significant Mercury aspects to anyone, at least by degree that is. So please comment on this if you care to share!

Ah, the famous Mars/Venus conjunction. Don't think I've ever had the pleasure of landing one of these with anyone. And I wanted to know if there is a difference when it's the woman's mars conjuncting (or trine/square) the man's venus? Is the Mars more aggressive, despite it being the woman?

And last but not least, Uranus in aspect to any planet, particularly from the Sun to Mars. My Uranus is in Sag, so whenever I meet a Sag/Gem Sun, they always seem to be really taken by me. I hope this doesn't sound too arrogant, but I could literally see sparks coming from them, lol. And I'm a real plain Jane. I think this has more to do with the way how I carry myself around them, like in an odd and quirky way that isn't too embarassing for them. I don't know what Uranus in contact to the Moon/Mercury/Venus/Mars would be like, but I remember reading that Uranus in aspect (esp. conjuntion/square/trine) results in sexual attraction...ever experienced this?

Looking forward to reading your responses!!!

ciao

Sun conjunct Moon - I like this aspect for the most part. I have a Sun square Moon in my chart, so it comes with added friction.. but overall it's a positive aspect both ways -- their Sun/my Moon and my Sun/their Moon.

I don't think I've had Moon conjunct Mars. Moon conjunct Venus is a nice aspect for mutual understanding. Conversation flows easily as well - maybe that's because of the social nature of Venus.

I like all conjunctions and trines to my Mercury. I especially like Mercury/Mercury trines and conj. Because my Mercury is in water.. I feel like we communicate very easily without words and I like that.

Mars conjunct Venus is attractive and feels very in sink sexually.. but unless you have other aspects - involving Sun/Moon/Saturn - it won't work well on its own. On the positive side it's quite calming or soothing.. On some level, you feel very understood by the other person. On the negative side - it's a bit like Relationship Signs says, Mars gets jealous and Venus should look out for unexpected bumblebee stings.
I've had all of the aspects with Venus/Mars.. The trine was more laid back.. The sextile was the easiest aspect but still felt nice. The opposition felt and still feels - not very exciting lol I didn't really *feel* the square either but it was overshadowed by other positive aspects - so I can't say the square felt overly sexual..
The conjunction is the most noticeable imo But overall I think I prefer the sextile.

In both Sun/Moon and Venus/Mars - I think it does make a difference which person is female and which person is male. Some people might prefer traditional relationships, while others won't feel comfortable with a traditional set up.. A man's Mars or Sun in aspect to a woman's Venus/Moon respectively - would make the woman feel very feminine.. and the man feel very masculine - It depends on how much they both like feeling this way. Some ppl prefer non-traditional relationships.

I'm not sure about Uranus/Jupiter.. Uranus trine Venus was positive and uplifting for the most part. At the moment I have my Uranus trine someone's Sun in Leo and we always have fun. It's a very friendly aspect.

Sun conjunct moon: my parents had this one and I could see how the negative side of played out. My mom was sun and my dad was moon. It might've worked in the beginning because my mother was not very outgoing in the beginning. But towards the middle and end of the marriage as my mom became more outgoing and started having a life he resented her for no being home often enough, stating she was becoming less of her own background, too Westernized, and blah blah blah. All of that was probably a front for him feeling insecure that was she was having a life of her own and enjoying the spotlight.

All in all I don't think I'd ever want that aspect with anyone, I like having the trine with my boyfriend just fine, its alot more easier and relaxed and I feel that being with the one you love should usually be relaxing save a few disagreements/arguments now and then.

Mars conjunct moon: I have this again in my relationship....yum. Honestly I've never enjoyed making out in itself this much before. Hope that wasn't TMI.

My uranus squares his mars/moon opposition and his uranus squares my moon. So we have a double whammy uranus square moon. It was really evident in the beginning when we really felt giddy and like shy schoolchildren around eachother. It was bad because nothing would accomplished between us, things were unstable for a while before the relationship happened.

And that's my two cents for now.

The guy i love has his Sun conjunct my Moon, and i simply love it.
I can just identify with him amazingly, he is just so me, and yet very different.
It gives the feeling of soul union and deep friendship.

hi! yes i've had a couple of boyfriends who's suns conjuncted my moon in taurus. it feels great; really comfortable and reassuring. the only problem i had with it is that i am an aquarian sun/merc/mars so i found it boring and stifling at times too. so i think it should be good if there is enough of a balance or complimentary aspects between you and in your own chart, but maybe not if the conjunction is to an afflicted planet, or whatever.

me and my love interest each have sun trine and sun sextile moon. we have this amazing flow between us where no matter what we are talking about the other is interested and and follows along. if i had heard that before, i would almost think that sounded sort of boring (being a kooky aqua) but it is amazing. we are also very kind with eachother very easily and make eachother laugh a lot..

and.. his uranus sits on my ascendant. this one is as shocking as it sounds. i was instantly jolted out of a life time of slumber the moment i layed eyes on him! okay, but seriously, that is how much his presence effects me. it is like lightning to the heart (in a good way!) and even though i feel SO strongly about him, my usual shyness is completely gone (so far) which is totally totally out of character!! and i think a huge part of it is this aspect..

Hi CoralFrequency! I agree with you that the Mars trine Venus is most laid back, but as far as sexual attraction goes, zip in my experience, lol. For some odd reason, I would feel attracted to the person whose Mars is trining my Venus, but not sexually attracted to them, you know what I mean? Like physically, they wouldn't fit my mold, but personality-wise, it was lovely.

Dulce Luna, I'm so sorry to hear about your parents' relationship. And about the Moon/Mars conjunction, wished I had even gone as far as making-out, but sadly, no. Better luck next time for me then, lol. Love your screen-name btw, it means sweet moon right?

heart cakes, I know what you're talking about with the Uranus aspects...doesn't Urnaus just rock your socks?!

Thanks for responding peeps! I'm loving reading every single one of them, muah!

girlloveboy, you're gonna turn me into an Aries sun stalker, since my moon is in Aries, lol.

Hey.. this may not be the case, but if you didn't actually have sex with them, that might be why you didn't feel sexually attracted. (if it's not the case, don’t worry about the next paragraph lol)
Trines work very differently to harder aspects like squares/oppositions/conjunctions. It's not always obvious how well matched the people are.

For instance with a square or an opposition - the story may be that you feel very sexually attracted, then have sex.. and it isn't what you expected at all and you actually don't enjoy it - or it feels a bit out of sync.

With the trine -things between you may feel too smooth - too easy.. which would make you both lazy and possibly unwilling to initiate anything - because it seems like you said - easy come - easy go, and not very sexual.. This is why trines are termed lazy aspects. They are aspects you need to work at to achieve their potential.. So you would probably need a push in the right direction. But once you get the push and once you do *try*.. it's likely to turn out great. Trines grow on you, in time.. so you feel sexually attracted after you find out what the person is like, towards you, sexually.. rather than beforehand.

Check the orb as well. You need closer orbs with trines.

The Aqaurius that I am dating and I have Venus conjunct moon (0 degrees) both in cancer. We also have Sun trine Merc (1 degree).

To me, these aspects are great! Especially the Venus conjunct moon. It adds a sweet flavor to the relationship. And the Sun trine Merc helps with communication I suppose.
