1]Sun/Moon conjunction with a Sun/Pluto square?
or
2]Sun/Pluto conjunction with a Sun/Moon opposition?

And when it comes to passion and love which aspects are the best? (the most binding ones)

I kinda got this idea stuck in my head that if a synastry lacks major Pluto aspects, it will blow..

*most of my relationships had that plutonian quality*

I just edited my post because I didn't read your question carefully enough. So in my edit, I'll ask, why those choices? I understand that the conjunction, square and opposition of Sun-Pluto are highly stressful aspects for a relationship. They suggest intense power struggles. I had the conjunction with a former employer. When it was positive, we could move mountains together, however, when cooperation was lacking we tried to tear each others heads off and the result was an "I quit!" "You're fired!" scenario.

We had a Venus trine Mars which I think softened the very end of the situation, but we both knew we couldn't work together anymore, sadly.

What was your experience?

Greenfairy I feel the same way...most of my relationships have had a pluto quality in them. I prefer,Sun/Moon conjunction with a Sun/Pluto square...that my choice!

------------------
Sun in Libra
Moon in Cancer
Jupiter in Cancer
Venus in Virgo
Mars in Cancer
Ascendant in Cancer

I "FEEL" therefor I am

GFairy~~ I agree that the Pluto stuff is horrible. I haven't had the Moon-Sun contacts but have had all in one relationship: a Moon-Pluto square and sextile, and a Sun-Pluto square and trine (i.e. neutralizing and cancelling each other out?) with the double whammy mars-venus conjunction, and a venus-pluto square... along with a mars-sun conjuction... OMG-- a MeSS... Give me the sweet harmonious sun-moon and a soft mars-venus link and I'll be happy?

I choose the first. Sun/Moon conjunction is stronger bond and more harmonious than opposition. So let's assume two people have that Sun/Moon opposition interaspect between them + Sun/Pluto conjunction. I think it is more likely they'll have to deal with 2 negative aspects because sun/moon is really not that good and with pluto involved, although powerful connection, but it tends to go both ways, positive and negative. And we are assuming the worst outcomes. So really, I would rather have power struggles and control issues with someone (sun square pluto)but know that this someone and I make a significant union(sun/moon conjunction)and can deal with problems in relationship.

I really don't see why so many people on this forum wish for pluto aspects in their synastry. Of course they add passion and intensity to relationship. They also add depth. But how deep can you go? One day you get to the bottom and that's it. Pluto aspects are not as binding as saturn ones. They're great, they draw people to each other, transform and test them but personally, I am scared of them! I wouldn't want to have those in the synastry with someone I want to be with long-term.

Favourite aspect for love - moon/venus, trine or conjunction

For passion - so many! but favourites - venus/uranus, pluto/venus and venus/mars.

I actually have the sun-pluto square with my S.O. and its not as bad as one would think, well atleast in our case its not.

But looking at the two options, I'd say neither of the above since I've never been able to really deal with sun-moon hard aspects (so annoying) and I've witnessed the sun/moon conjunction in a marraige and didn't like what I saw.I'd probably feel suffocated with the sun/moon conjunction anyways based on what I've witnessed and the sun square pluto would just be an added annoyance.

My own experience is not quite related to what i am asking for in my initial post, this one guy was squaring my Sun-Mars/semi-squaring my Venus with his Pluto, i was semisquaring his Sun with my Pluto and there also was a sun/moon trine, and i felt like sh*t, very bad about myself.. it killed my self-esteem. But it's over now..
I'm just asking for these 2 options because i found them while checking my best [male] friend's synastries. thanks for the feedback.

I'd prefer the first - Sun/Moon conjunction and Sun/Pluto square..

Does one person have the Sun/Pluto square in natal? Also, what are the orbs? If the sun/moon is close - they won't keep away from each other for long lol

Most binding - Saturn aspects.
Passionate - Venus/Mars and Pluto aspects.. but this doesn't make them binding in my opinion..

Best for me - Jupiter and Mercury aspects - I love them.. but best doesn't equal binding from my perspective. These would be fun and understanding - lucky perhaps..

I'd choose option 1, though I've never experienced a Sun/Moon conjunction before, I imagine it would be nice and binding. I've had plenty of Sun/Moon oppositions though, with friends, colleagues and romantic interests...it was nice in the beginning, but I'm on the market now, so...hehe.

The 2nd option, with Sun/Pluto conjunction, sounds too much like a battle of the wills/egos to me. Plus, with the opposition of Sun/Moon thrown in, it would seem to tense and eventually too taxing to handle. Just my $0.02.

ciao

I'd rather have a Sun/Moon conjunction with a Sun/Pluto square ... mainly because Pluto is such a slow moving planet, that I'd have that square with everyone born in a certain year. I generally don't pay that much attention to single unfavorable (and also favorable) aspects with outer planets, simply because those planets move too slowly. If, however, there are several of such aspects involving outer planets or the aspects are double-whammies I think those aspects enhance themself. For instance, I don't pay much attention to a sextile between Mars and Pluto, if this is the only aspect indicating sexual attraction. If there's also a Venus/Mars trine and a Venus/Pluto contact, that aspect can have a strong effect.

As far as my favorite aspects for love and passion are concerned ... any Moon/Venus contact (except for the square), any contact with the other person's Moon (doesn't necessarily have to be the Sun, though ... a Moon/Ascendant conjunction can be incredibly binding, for instance), Venus/Mars trine and Venus/Pluto double-whammies (doesn't matter if easy or hard aspects ... Venus/Pluto aspects are simply intense).

Aspects that IMHO would be very unfavorable for a long-term relationship ... Moon/Moon square (the worst of all possible contacts ... a relationship with this contact is almost certainly doomed to fail), Moon/Mars square, Moon/Saturn square and - if other negative aspects come into play - Sun/Saturn square and Moon/Neptune double-whammies (because they create an illusion that is hard to escape from).
