would make someone appear/seem:

High/Drunk (he likes the booze a tad too much though)
Some [the envious ones] would think he's not exceptionally articulate until you get to talk to him or the complete opposite, too articulate,
arrogant and cocky for some, yet truly reserved and shy [and he is]

Add bad skin, big brown puppy eyes [or "deer in headlights" look), thick questioning eyebrows and a skinny body of average height in the mix.
Nervous walk.
Workaholic.
Highly imaginative yet down to earth.
Mumbles a lot.
Has the brains of a surgeon.
Doesn't brag for his accomplishments [at least not in a self-centered way].
Even though he has a Scorpio moon, his gaze is sensitive/penetrating than super intense/penetrating.

I got 3 options so far, not sure why i picked those though - gut feeling lol

Pisces
Cancer
Virgo

I would say Pisces. My sister is a Virgo rising and so are my aunt and uncle, and neither of them fit that mold. That account just seems so classic Pisces (no offense anyone). I think I've actually fallen for it before...lol. Blame it on Pisces Venus!

Currently, I can't recall many Cancer risings. All I can think of is Angelina Jolie heheh. I say go with Pisces because every single person whom I've adored so far, as a friend or potential love has had something distinctly Piscean about them - something huge. And I remember the guy I was smitten with appeared this way to me for a whole year or so before I spoke with him and got to know him; and he was a gem with scorpio moon. And actually, he did turn out to be a complete stoner, and [well I assumed correctly he was] a musician, and he had some unorthodox beliefs and theories. That could also be mistaken for Sagittarius but this guy just seemed like a paradoxical soulful, limp fish!

But then again, I guess I could see why you might suspect Virgo. Is it the Cobain thing (although he was literally flooded with water elsewhere)?

Also, do you know this person's placements or are they a complete stranger (and you don't know their bd)?

Yup, here it is

Sun Capricorn
Moon Scorpio (like Pepe Le Piu lol)
Mercury Capricorn
Venus Capricorn
Mars Scorpio
Jupiter Aquarius
Saturn Sagittarius
Uranus Sagittarius
Neptune Capricorn
Pluto Scorpio
True Node Taurus

He's a musician too.
A great lyricist.
And loves his home very much.
He also likes to tuck his shirts in his pants.
Doesn't really care about his appearance.

Me too! I blame it on my Pisces DSC.

Pisces rising ... wouldn't think twice about that one.

I have Pisces rising myself and a lot of your descriptions actually fitted me ... except that I do care about my appearance very much, but then again, I have a Leo Moon.

I wouldn't say Virgo rising, they usually appear (and are) quite sharp, being ruled by Mercury after all. I don't know if any rising sign alone gives that impression, but out of your choices I'd pick Pisces/Cancer rising, water signs might appear as "dreamy" or "being high" for some I suppose, especially Pisces being ruled by Neptune.

I know a musician with the same Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars placements (Moon is in Virgo, though). He also seems very arrogant and cocky but is really extremely shy. He's skinny and probably about 5'8". His skin is "okay" but he has a few scars from chickenpox. He's actually articulate and smart, but the impression he gives to people is totally Bill & Ted, a stoner-dude who is out-of-it (complete with occassional slurring and plenty of "huh?"s). I thought he was high the first few times we saw him. He has huge, dreamy brown eyes.

His ascendant? Virgo!

It seemed a weird fit, but then I understood he has his own systems for everything, and even though he doesn't care much about the way he dresses, his drawers are all organized. He did have a drinking problem, and in high school and his twenties he hung out with the stoner/druggie crowd. Virgo is extremely adaptable, and I think to some degree he took on the characteristics of his stoner friends.

He definitely reminds me of my friend. My friend has a more square jawline and his hair is dark honey-colored, but he has the same shape of eyes (and color) and eyebrows. They also both have strong noses and long mouths. He also looks a bit like Paul McCartney (especially in the first pic), who also has Virgo rising. My guess would be Virgo Ascendant.

A Piscean vibe could be due to his Sun and/or Venus conjunct Neptune.

Well you know, what we could do (or you could since you probably have an idea about his birthplace and know his birth info) is set up some hypothetical charts for him to address those ascendants. Maybe that could give you some clues about which sounds the most like him. With that in mind, you could also test the pertinent synastry charts between yours and his potential ones and see how he might see or experience you based on where your planets fall in his chart.

Well, so far, based on the planetary info you've provided, if we were to presume he's a virgo rising, that might mean he has a fifth house stellium. And considering the fact that his planets range from scorpio to aquarius, that would mean all his planets must either be occupying his third, fourth, fifth, and possibly sixth houses. In that sense, Virgo could highlight his fourth house (and family), his artistic individualistic streak in the fifth, and maybe a gemini side. However, assuming he is a virgo rising and has scorpio on the third cusp (and probably Mars and the moon) occupying it, it could mean that he communicates in a completely emotional way (the music?) and maybe even forceful? With Pluto, do his words/ music/ etc. transform in a striking way? What about his homelife? Could it strike as odd in anyway, or retrictive, maybe paradoxically traditional while being conventional?

If he's a Cancer rising, there's a good chance that he may have a seventh house stellium. He might be living through his friends...but his Pluto, Moon, and Mars would be in his creative fifth house.

If he's a pisces rising, there'll be emphasis on his (southeastern quadrant, is it?) on the ninth through twelfth houses, particularly on the eleventh. Is he futuristic? What are his lyrical themes? Does he have a lot of peculiar idiosyncrasies (and would that tucking in his shirt thing count as one )? Also, ask yourself about the risings you know of that you frequently socialize with etc. Having mentioned earlier that your DC is in Pisces, do you see yourself hanging around a lot of Pisces risings? What about Virgos?

Personally, Asc-Dcwise I'm a Leo rising, but of the few birthtimes I've managed to acquire, I am around other Leo risings a lot much more so than I've been with Aquas (that's kind of surprising but it's probably due to insufficient birth time info). I'm still attracted to Uranian types, regardless.

I'm sorry for ranting. Hope this gives you some ideas.

Actually, you know what? He looks like a Virgo...but still try on the hypothetical charts idea on for size.

Good luck!

Yes.

They become sharper, more obtuse and subjective, straightforward and staggering at times and yet without judging anyone or anything.
He writes for only what he sees and experiences. Girls, social themes and feelings, nothing futuristic here.

Absolutely conventional.
I wouldn't say he lives through his friends though, but he's certainly a workaholic team player, not a leader. He's a "we" man, not an "I" man.
One main theme in his work is unrequited love, fear of rejection and finding someone but not being able to make a move.
quote:

Hmm.. apart from copying his grandad's fashion style (lol) nuhh.. He can be quite random and loves to change subject and confuse the hell out of you, just for kicks or to make things less boring. And when he does that and realizes the consequences of his actions, he goes "oh sh*t, shouldn't had said that".
He's got quite a rich vocabulary.
He mumbles.
He's nerdy.
He doesn't think high of himself - appearance-wise.
He used to suffer from "stage fright".

I have already done some hypothetical charts, but your posts help me clear up some confusion.

1 version:
Virgo rising (somewhere in the middle) puts his Sun/Mars/Saturn in the 3rd and the rest in the 4th and Jupiter in the 5th. Gemini Midheaven and Uranus opposing it.

Pisces rising puts his sun in the 11th, Jupiter in the 12th, Venus/Neptune/Merc. in the 10th, Uranus in the 9th, Saturn/sun/Mars in the 8th, Pluto in the 7th., MC in Sag. with Merc./Uranus widely conjuncting it.

I don't think it has to be the negative descriptions that make him a Pisces, but I thing it was the "BIG PUPPY DOG EYES" that truly suggests the Pisces Rising. The only other thing I can think of that would give big puppy dog eyes like that might be Cancer or a strong Neptune to one of the lights. Just my deduction.

Is this a rising sign thing? Hmmm... can you describe the look you mean? Or, post someone's photo? I've seen an array of rising signs look drunk/high and it was usually due to party favors.

I'd have to agree with virgo rising for him.

With a Virgo rising, he gets Mercury as chart ruler.
His Merc. is in Capricorn, 4th H and Neptune conjuncting it.
Wouldn't that explain it all?

edit: With Pisces rising. his Neptune in Capricorn/10 H conjuncts Cappy Mercury

I'm confuzzled.

I would say Capricorn rising. He sounds and looks a bit like my partner.
