Venus in Libra:Oh where do I begin... Lol! - Worked for countless NPOs including Amesty international; Jobs varied anything from team lead to administrative work. - Like Amonroe above me, I did quite a bit of backstage work with big events and a few new club openings. - On the Business word: Have quite a bit of experience with marketing (particularly visual graphics and ads for products,) HR, and currently have a good position in Management. - Used to volunteer a lot in my high school days for the local Community center. - Here is an unusual one; Part-time freelance Mechanic LOL! Used to fix minor car problems for the locals in my neighbourhood. Gosh the price those guys would have paid for just teaking a few faulty sensors... Geez Lol! IP: Logged |

Venus in Libra here as well...I haven't had many jobs yet. I worked as a secretary (which I didn't really like) and as an accountant (which I liked even less). I am also helping out as a waitress from time to time. My dream job would be to run my own hotel somewhere by the sea ... or maybe run a restaurant in a tourist resort. I like getting in touch with different cultures and different people. IP: Logged |

My Venus is in Pisces also, and I have always been fascinated with the medical field as well as the importance of nutrition and homeopathy. Having a garden kinda goes hand in hand with that - I like to grow alot of my own herbs and such which I use for some homeopathic remedies. IP: Logged |

Venus in Scorpio. I was, and still am, into alternative health and I spent ten years as a home health aide. Now I'm a dispatcher at a day labor. I'd very much like to work in or run my own day spa. I enjoy giving friends and family facials and pedicures and have gotten somewhat good at waxing eyebrows. I've always had a green thumb when it comes to house plants, but would like to have my own mini-farm caring for wounded animals and grow a garden. IP: Logged |

Venus in Gemini.I'm not sure how related this is, as it seems more Sagittarian (I'm a Sag rising)... Teaching Tutoring university students Research assistant Self-employed developing distance education learning material Assessments marker Online learning coach/facilitator Before those things, and casually since then, I've also worked at record stores and looked after my friend's record store for him whenever he needed it. Generally though I'm not interested in working in retail, unless it was my own business maybe. I also used to design and sell jewellery. Other jobs I've considered: * Lecturer (still interested, it's just not the right time for me to study/do the PhD) * Journalism (I did actually study journalism and then spent a little time casually writing CD reviews for publication - I didn't get paid but I did get free CD's) * Vet (but I would be too sad having to put animals down) * Doctor (but too squeamish) * Pharmacist (but I'm not really into medical drugs) * Herbalist, naturopath, aromatherapist, reiki practitioner (not trained in any of these though). You can see that I'm very interested in healing, but it doesn't seem to relate to my Venus sign. Maybe that's my grand water trine making itself known (includes Scorpio moon and Mars in Pisces). Not to sure if its completly related...I'm a venus in taurus... I whould never ended up in those careers listed...closest whould be a shop keeper. I think a venus in tarus person whould more likely be in a field that demands a person to be passionate in there work. I'm thinking of becoming a flash or java developer because its art and programing rolled into one, and you have to be passionate about it. IP: Logged |

Don't ya think professions would be more MC/6th house related? Coz I'm a Gemini venus who does not aspire to be a receptionist or a tele-operator person (even though I am good at both those things part time). I'd sooner kill myself before becoming a lifelong receptionist. I prefer the medical field.

Monnie, I'm just wondering whether you have any Gemini or Sag placements? Your interests seem similar to mine. (I should add that my academic studies focused on English, Linguistics, and Film and Media Studies - I also tutored Film Studies and Communication Studies)... IP: Logged |

i have mars and neptune in sagi. no gemini placements, except psche also mercury conjunct uranus - which in my opinion makes me brainy and is somewhat connected to the ability to learn foreign languages and writing/expressing myself in a coherent logical manner

i'm thinking the same thing about 6th house.regardless. my venus is in gemini and mars is in cancer. i've never had huge aspirations. i get bored easily with part-time jobs. i'm currently going to school to be a cosmetologist and receive my english degree for creative writing. yes, i want to do hair and write books and poetry. i've never had much testosterone in any field, so of course i chose a career that is relaxed and goes at my own pace. as for my 6th house, it's in sagittarius which has always made me a helper, and some of my friendships seem like jobs because i'm constantly trying to save the world, one at a time. a noble effort, i think. haha. I don't think Venus has much to do with your career, unless it's the ruler of your Midheaven. It might tell a little about how social you are and what kind of surroundings you'd like to work in, but career would be Midheaven. IP: Logged |

I very much agree with the above poster. Venus is not necessarily a career indicator unless it makes aspects to career points, or I could also see it affecting career if it's very strong in the chart. Otherwise, I wouldn't consider it a career indicator.IP: Logged |

I agree too! Venus has nothing to do with your career unless it's in close aspect with the MC, it RULES the MC, or close aspect with the ruler of the MC.Libra is my MC, therefore Venus in Scorpio rules my midheaven. I'm in school now, studying for a career in Marketing (Venus, sales) and Public Relations (Venus/Libra). Venus in Scorpio 11th house draws me towards research (Scorpio) of target markets (11th house), and getting to the heart of what people want (another Venus theme). Venus is conjunct Mercury (Communications), and trine Jupiter (Promotions). I heard the closest aspect to the MC also highly defines the career choice. My closest MC aspect is a square from Neptune. I want to work with marketing movies, sports, events, music, art, and entertainment (Neptune's realm). Venus also rules my 5th house.
We should analyze this....thiiiiis way, we'd get more out of it :-) Just a suggestion.
