I have been learning astrology by gathering pieces of knowledege from various sources on internet, and so far I get to understand the practicality of astrology mostly by exploring my own chart, but I can’t synthesize properly.

I currently have a big question about my chart and need your help to understand it, which is about the influence of Pluto. I always read that the impact of Pluto is always very intense. However, this year 2007 I have transit Pluto (in 7th house) trine natal Moon almost for the whole year. Besides, in my progressed chart right now progressed Pluto conjunct progressed Venus. Why then my life now is still progessing as it used to be, without me having any really intense feelings or incurring any significant event that can be associated with Pluto? (except for one thing that I very much like a man with Scorpio ascendant – but I can’t foresee any possible significant move in our relationship).

More information: I intended to move out of my current house (which is my parents’ house, in which I lived since I was a child) to another house in another town as I changed job early this year, but that didn’t happen either. Also I have transit Saturn entering 4th house and transit Jupiter entering 7th house this year 2007. Not sure how these will interact with the possible impact of Pluto aspects that I mentioned above.

well, i am no pro but i do find pluto fascinating. i will attempt to make a guess about your question regarding the pluto making a trine aspect to your moon as it is transiting. i am going to guess that perhaps your moon (emotions) are not in need of any majorly cathartic shakings-up and that pluto, instead, is *deepening* your emotional nature. and being that it is trining your moon, perhaps this is more of a gentle process than would be a harsher transitting aspect. and that the interest in the scorpio ascendant man could be the manifestation/catalyst of this deepening.

I just wanted to confirm that your Ascendant is 0 degrees 41 Gemini and that your Midheaven is 21 degrees 49 Aquarius.

If these measurements are correct then I can tell you that Pluto is like a magnifying glass with a laser beam focus on whatever it touches in the chart. Your Moon rules your third house in your chart. With Pluto’s energy flowing toward your Moon in more of a positive flow, because it’s a trine, there is a positive focus on third house matters. Third house matters are communication, curiosity, diversity, correspondence, cerebral issues. So it leads me to ask have you been having clear emotional communication mostly with family or children? Have you been writing a lot lately? Things of that nature, mostly emotional communication.

If the Ascendant and Midheaven are correct, then Saturn moved into your 4th house around the end of July, is that when you began your new job? I ask that because, even though you didn’t move out of your home, you must remember that the 4th house cusp is really part of the Midheaven axis. That whole axis is affected so career issues can also be affected when planets cross the 4th house. As Saturn crossed that axis, something may have come to an end for you and you are now at a new beginning with something, once again that may be your new job we are talking about.

You talk about your progressed chart and that progressed Pluto is on your progressed Venus and you mention that you are very much attracted to a man. That Pluto-Venus conjunction merely reflects that you are having that attraction, where the attraction goes is entirely up to the two of you and your free will.

Then there is Jupiter transiting your 7th house of partnerships. Jupiter there could be expanding all issues having to do with relationships and partnerships of all kinds. It makes complete sense since you mentioned that there is an attraction for you, a new job usually ushers in new relationships in the form of business friends and partnerships, and I want to ask, also, if there were any issues with your mother or a parent in general because the Moon usually is suggestive of the mother in the chart as well as the 4th house cusp. Did your mother experience anything while Saturn was crossing your 4th cusp?

It seems to me that when all of this is synthesized it may be suggesting issues of home, mother, relationships of all kinds. Also, if the measurements are correct, Neptune has been hovering over your Midheaven, also putting a focus on employment vagueness and issues with your father. There’s a lot of change going on here and Pluto trine Moon is just one of the many measurements within the mix.
