Hey everyone! What is your take on comparing chart angles between people?

I've always been interested in astrology, but I just started getting into it more in depth. Like a lot of people, I'm interested in relationship analysis...and there is soooo much information out there that my head is starting to spin. But oddly enough, I don't find a whole lot of info on a comparison of chart angles between natal, composite, progressed charts, etc...

The reason I ask is that I've seen some striking patterns between my chart and those of people I'm close to and I figure it's gotta be more than mere coincidence!!!

Thanks for any input!

Hello and Welcome to LL Purple_Chick_71

I agree whole heartedly with your obsevations.
The nadir is a sensitive and important point in Karmic Astrology.

You should also consider where one person's planets fall in another person's houses. The Vertex is another important angle, I've found.

Thanks for your input, everyone! Yeah... definitely know about planets being conjunct, etc... but what about the actual skeleton of the chart? For example, my progressed chart looks almost exactly like my SO's natal chart - same ascendant in almost the same degree, etc... this is one of many weird chart comparisons! lol

The new man in my life has planets, angles, vertex and moons nodes conjuncting mine all over the place in natal, first meeting, and solar. They're tight orbs too, 3 degrees or less. It's to the point where its getting ridiculous and my brain is on overload thinking about it. A lot of it has to be coincidence.

Hey LeoCat! Why do you think it's a coincidence? I totally understand what you're saying, cause the same thing is happening to me! You see it once and it's like...okay...whatever. But when you keep seeing the same kinds of things, it's freaky, right? lol

Would you rather have someone's Jupiter on your DC or someone's Saturn??

Curious.

Hi Love! Actually, I'm not sure about that. I think that having someone's Jupiter in your 7th house would be kind of nice...that person would probably make you feel pretty good - "jovial" so to speak! Actually, my jupiter is in my SO's 7th house, so I hope that's what it's like. (And it's also his 7th house ruler...so I'm thinking it's a good thing.)

As for saturn, that old man confuses me. On the one hand, he is restrictive. But, on the other hand, he can be binding for relationships. I don't have this aspect so I don't know what it would feel like...maybe a bit of both in the relationship.

Yes Purple, exactly!! But I was finding the same pattern in the chart of another friend who was born in the same year so I just shrugged it off. I was like, dam....what a let down. I found this to be true mostly in our progressed charts.

Well, originally what I was talking about in this thread is the actual look of the chart itself...not so much the positions of planets. Because, yeah...if you are born around the same time as someone else, then the likelihood of having some of your outer planets in tight aspect with other people's outer planets has more to do with the fact that your birthdays are so close together (because these planets move pretty slowly) than some sort of deep relationship with them.

What I meant with the original post is...has anyone found any interesting comparisons of the chart angles, houses, etc...in significant relationships. For example, my best friend and I have "mirrored" chart angles, like this:

Me:
ASC - Aries
IC - Cancer
DES - Libra
MC - Capricorn
My sun in Cap

My friend:
ASC - Libra
IC - Capricorn
DES - Aries
MC - Cancer
Her sun in Cancer

Ooooh so it's switched around. I believe they have a name for that or something and there's some kind of meaning attached to it. When a natal chart is an exact opposite of the natural natal chart isn't there some great significance attached to it or something? I read that somwhere...well I suppose we'll find out soon.
