Topic: Nelly Furtado - Ascendant???

Does maybe anyone of you guys have any guesses what Nelly Furtado's Ascendant could be???Personally, I'm guessing either Sagittarius or Leo rising. But I really don't know Her natal positions: Sun in Sagittarius 10°17'
Moon in Capricorn 14°18'
Mercury in Sagittarius 17°26'R
Venus in Scorpio 7°42'
Mars in Sagittarius 22°34'
Jupiter in Leo 8°59'R
Saturn in Virgo 13°31'
Uranus in Scorpio 18°09'
Neptune in Sagittarius 17°45'

Now that you guys mentioned Scorpio ... she does look A LOT like a girl I know with Scorpio Sun and Sagittarius Moon. Don't know her Ascendant, though.IP: Logged |

She does look to have the Aries jawline, now that you've pointed out Aries. I'm a Sag rising and I don't have the same look that she has. I think Sag rising is softer with smaller features, then again all the Sag risings I'm currently thinking of are Venus-ruled suns (Taurus and Libras), so that might make a difference??IP: Logged |

Ok here are some Sag risings: http://www.librarising.com/astrology/risingsigns/sagittariusrising2.html I think most of those people look softer than Nelly Furtado. Then again, I'm not convinced by the pictures of either the Aries or Scorpio risings on that site either! IP: Logged |

I guess you guys are right about the Sag rising thing ... the more I think about it, all the Sag rising people I know have oval faces with high foreheads and somewhat roundish features. Nelly's face on the other hand is pretty square. IP: Logged |

Although I just noticed, when you click on her pic, they just *think* she might be a Sag rising.These threads are usually about narrowing it down based on our observations which are inevitably generalisations... sometimes we never arrive at an answer.  IP: Logged |

That librarising site would be such a useful tool if the information was actually accurate. Not only do they guess what people's ascendants are, but they even assign people different ascendants b/c they don't think the actual ascendant matches the person! She does have a Sag Sun/Scorpio Asc look to me, so I'll vote for that. Too bad we won't know the answer to this. IP: Logged |

Yeah I find it good when they do have the actual ascendant. Nelly Furtado is one of their guesses, and also they guessed Brigitte Bardot as a Libra rising but in fact she's a Sag rising. They seem to have removed Brigitte Bardot now though.IP: Logged |

Yeah, I think the dressing style of a person can help you figuring out someone's Ascendant. Of course, with singers, actors and actresses you never know how much of their dressing style is actually their own choice and what is the choice of their personal stylist. IP: Logged |

Personally, I am gonna go with either a Cap or a Scorpio rising, focusing on the choice of her clothes, the eyes and the facial features. Though I would go with Scorpio rising overall; Since she is the type of person who comes off as ambitious yet at the same time connected to her background and her beliefs.IP: Logged |

i've seen her in a lot of interviews. don't even really like her music that much but she's from near where i live and is my age so i am interested in her. she is *very* funny and likes to goof around all the time. this would tilt the scales toward sag rising to me, although i guess it could just be her sun sign shining through. but she doesn't seem to have that scorpio intensity; mostly she just seems to want to have fun!IP: Logged |
