i just learned of them and looked up my two intercepted houses, and my almost-bf's (on thestrangehouse.com) and all the interps are negative. i am compulsively optimistic and refuse to accept these interpretations. any one have any better philosophy on intercepted houses?IP: Logged |

Bob Marks has some info on that: http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/duplicated_signs.htm But, for the sake of discussion I don't think anything in astrology can be considered negative. Ever. As long as whatever you learn brings on self-awareness, you're all set! IP: Logged |

Interceptions are my specialty and I have a much more positive view of them than most other writers. (Spirit told me that true understanding was not available until humanity reached a certain evolutionary level.) I have written two books on the subject.HERALDS OF A NEW AGE: INTERCEPTIONS discusses the principles of interceptions, both in mundane and spiritual terms. It covers the intercepted signs, and their effect on the houses. POSSIBILITIES FOR A NEW AGE: INTERCEPTED PLANETS. Most interceptions contain one or more planets, and sometimes the nodes or Part of Fortune. This book discusses the effects of interceptions on these planets, Nodes and/or Fortuna. Both books can be ordered from my web site, listed below. While you are on the site, look for an article on "Possibility People". Interceptions are the primary identification for Possibility People. ------------------ You are a blessing and you are blessed. Rev. Alice astrominister@hotmail.com www.lifeprintastrology.com

thanks guys,i am referring to intercepted houses, though, not planets. there is a difference right? it's all new to me, but i am talking about when a sign is just floating within the perameters of the house cusps and does not touch either cusp. IP: Logged |

Good call on the Bob Marks site, Sarai.I have Taurus and Scorpio intercepted, and Gemini and Sagittarius duplicated. Gemini rules my 1st and 2nd houses. Sag rules my 7th and 8th. quote:
Gemini and Sagittarius Duplicated: Communications and travel are your way out of the problems caused by your intercepted signs . My own chart is a good example. I have Aries intercepted, which means I tend to daydream for a long time before taking action, and then dive in like I never thought about it before. With duplicated Gemini and Sagittarius, the way out is to read, study, and discuss proposed courses of action first (and then try to talk someone else into taking the action for you!). Don’t forget to check the aspects and the house and sign positions of Mercury and Jupiter for further information on these matters, and to see if there are contrary indicators.First and Second Houses, Seventh and Eighth Houses: Your possessions and sense of self-worth are dependant on who you are. A perfect example is Prince Charles, heir to the British throne. Another would be George W. Bush. On the opposite side of the horoscope, the partner (7th house) would tend to be looked upon as an asset (8th house).
