Someone here once said…people like Buddha & Jesus transcended their chart. In Buddhism the enlightened are free from suffering…and EGO. They believe the ego must “die” – that it’s only an illusion. Eckhart Tolle ( him ) says negative emotions leave residue that accumulates and an entity like thing is born – my paraphrasing is shite…sorry - he calls it the “pain body”. This, like the ego, has a strong hold on us, affecting our actions. Ultimately the pain body is also an illusion. SO…this ego and pain body – could it be the same as Sun(ego) and Moon(pain body)? Is that critic in your head your Sun and are your fears your Moon?

Fascinating, Aqua. I had someone tell me once that the most advanced souls "transcend" their birthchart too. The concept always blew my mind because the only person that I couldn't even fathom a guess at was like that....off the charts spiritual...wondered if he was human. LOL!I also wonder if this relates to the Heliocentric chart, since transcending your personality (natal chart) could lead you to your life/spiritual purpose (Helio). Maybe someone with some Helio experience can confirm/negate that there theory! 8th IP: Logged |

What do you mean by "transcend?" As in, become a person so difficult to categorize astrologically because you pretty much embody all signs?IP: Logged |

It's incredibly freeing to transcend (or try to) any programming you have, whether it's your childhood, your inherited disposition, your sociological conditioning, your astrology chart, and so on. I have the upmost respect for people who want to be a co-creator in their identity. You can't ever escape some foundation, no one starts with a blank slate--individual existence requires some definition--but self-consciousness and analysis can help you tap into all your potential. I think of life as this pure, unformed energy that's then given shape and limit by whatever form we have: animal or plant, man or woman, Taurus or Sag. It's funny how much that we think is "reality" is the way we're programmed to see reality. I love to identify the way I look at things as being in accordance with how my astrology chart says I would be, and then think of how someone with different signs and aspects would perceive reality. It's a fun mental exercise and even if I ultimately choose to go with what is natural and authentic for me, I like to be aware of what's influencing me to view that as natural and see how others would think differently. Jane!I completely agree with you. Astrology can help explain the "whys," but we have free will over our reactions and the ability to change things through the given opportunities. 8th IP: Logged |
