I am stressed out! I know that much of this has to do with me needing my living space and life to function in a specific way [live with others]. I can't express my anger without coming off crazy and can't assert myself because it would be a waste of effort. So my anger has to be "repressed". I'm literally going mentally crazy. Can you suggest relaxation tips for someone with

Virgo Rising
Sun in Taurus
Moon in Sagittarius
Venus in Taurus
Mercury in Taurus
Mars in Scorpio [retrograde]
Jupiter in Capricorn [retrograde]
Saturn in Scorpio [retrograde]
Uranus in Sagittarius[retrograde]
Neptune in Capricorn [retrograde]
Pluto in Scorpio [retrograde]
North Node in Gemini [retrograde]

Hey Junity! You were literally born a few days before me - crazy!!!

If you're anything like me, I need A LOT of space when I'm p!ssed off or stressed out and I know what it's like living with others and not always having the option of getting some alone time. If you need your privacy though, the one room in the house that you can get it, is the bath room. Most evenings, I can be found in there having a gorgeous, herbal bubble bath - Radox rules! Nice and relaxing, with no interruptions. And a very Taurus way to de-stress!!!

I also like listening to music or surfing youtube for some funny clips to cheer me up. Going for a walk with my mp3 player in my ears is a favourite of mine and of course, there's always the well renowned Taurus comfort eating, lol!!!

My other half is a Taurus with Virgo rising and he likes to tidy things up to realx him. He does, what he calls a "routine clean" after he gets in from work in the evening and he says getting everything organised and in it's place is really de-stressing - a bit like therapy!

My mum's a Sagittarius moon like yourself and when she's stressed, she likes to go out on drives with her favourite music on the stereo. She also likes to swim (she's a swimming teacher, but she does it for fun as well) and if she's really fed up, she just books a holiday, lol!!!

Hope some of these help!!!

Dont turn to food. It will always make you feel worse in the long run.

Exersice, preferably in nature can help.

If you have a friend who is a good listener and hugger, turn to them.

Take a drive, blast the music and sing your heart out. Always a cure all for .

I'm a Taurus, Cancer moon and exercise is number one, followed by giving or receiving massage, then rearranging my living space, then taking trips with loved ones.

You have to accept that you are mad sometimes that's the key, then you can be without guilt. Taurus feels guilt very strongly. You don't have to feel guilty about being angry, it's healthy. Be self assertive and do things for yourself first before putting others needs ahead of your own. Express that verbally to everyone.

Taurus is never verbal enough, even with Mercury in Gemini, I never speak up enough. Listening to music doesn't help. I have to play or write music. It's not assertive to sit and listen to someone else speaking. Speak from your heart.

Get back to your ELEMENT!!!

I probably really irritate a few here and there, cause I preach basic, ancient astrology! The symbolism of the signs, the elements!

Ever heard the old cliche' "get back to yer element???"

There ya have it!!!

Go and walk the earth, dig your bull hoofs in it, sit in a field of green grass and pluck a blade and chew on it...walk around that same field...slowly...taking in the sun, the air, nature!!!

Plant something, dig your hands into the dirt, roll in it while you are at it! Cultivate plants in your everyday life, do SOMETHING in nature!!!

And..all will be well.....

O, and Bulls usually respond quite nicely to music as well....sing, sing....SING!!!

Hi; Some info about your 6 retrogrades [TN should be discounted]
Having retrogrades in one's chart is more common than not having any. That is to say, if you take cross sampling of people from anywhere in the world, you will find that MOST people have one or more retrograde bodies.

The outer planets are retrograde quite a bit. On average, Pluto and Neptune are retrograde about 160 days each. That's almost half a year. Uranus is almost as long, about 150 days, while Saturn averages 140 days, and Jupiter 120 days. Chiron is a bit more irregular in orbit, but it has a retrograde period that ranges from around 140-150 days. So just from this, it's easy to see why so many people have at least one outer planet retrograde at birth.

Mercury goes into retrograde three or four times a year, ranging from 20-28 days each time. So about one out of every 5-6 people, on average, have Mercury Retrograde at birth, and a good portion of them have at least one outer planet retrograde.

The oddballs are Mars and Venus. Venus can be 18 months between retrogrades, and when it finally gets around to it, it only stays that way for about 40-45 days. And Mars is even longer between retrogrades, as much as two full years, only staying that way for around 80 days when it does. So if you have Venus or Mars retrograde, that stands out. You are definitely in the minority when looking at other people's Venus or Mars positions.

As I said in the beginning of this post, more people have something retrograde than nothing. There can be periods of months, sometimes even years, when at least something will be retrograde. The dynamics shift, as the planets shift in relation to each other, so there can be some periods of time when nothing is retrograde for several months, and other periods of time when as one planet enters retrograde, another goes direct, one right after the other.

But overall, it is the person who has no retrograde bodies that is in the minority, and having several bodies retrograde is not infrequent at all.

Saying all this, I want to bring up the work of John McCormick, who studied the motion of retrograde planets over a 100 year period, and then applied his findings to World War II Generals, Statesmen, Writers, Athletes, and others with respect to retrograde planets in the natal charts. Here, he found some quite interesting and unexpected things. (John did not include Chiron in his studies, so it would be interesting to what, if any, differences would have shown up in his results if he had.)

Take Neptune. One would expect that about forty-four percent of any group of people would have Neptune retrograde. But John found that ninety-two percent of those Generals had Neptune retrograde! (One of the few exceptions, and the most notable, was General Douglas MacArthur who had it direct.) Think about that for a minute....let it sink in.

He looked at US Presidents. Unlike the generals, only nineteen percent of United States Presidents had Neptune retrograde. Much lower than the expected forty-four percent, of course, but even more striking is the difference between the charts of the generals, and the charts of the presidents. What is it that makes a Neptune retrograde rise to the rank of general, but makes a Neptune direct more likely to become president?

But he didn't stop there. In the 100 year period he studied, there were no retrograde planets ONLY ABOUT EIGHT PERCENT OF THE TIME! And yet, even though there was only an 8 percent chance of having zero retrograde planets, THIRTY SIX of the US Presidents was born without a retrograde planet in their chart.

Let me say that again in different words, for emphasis. While only approximately eight out of every one hundred people, born during that century, had no retrograde planets in their chart, almost every single US President was born with no retrogrades! (I rounded off, it's more like 7.7 out of 100 people.)

Unfortunately, John passed away before he could do a great deal more, but he did set down some interesting findings, which have been supported by several astrologers who have since studied his results. First, let me break down the percentage of time various quantities of planets were retrograde during that 100 year period. (And note: I think that everyone reading this was born during the 100 year period charted.)

Born with 0 retrograde planets: 7.7 percent
Born with 1 retrograde planet: 18.7 percent
Born with 2 retrograde planets: 29.2 percent
Born with 3 retrograde planets: 26.7 percent
Born with 4 retrograde planets: 12.7 percent
Born with 5 retrograde planets: 4.15 percent
Born with 6 retrograde planets: 0.66 percent
Born with 7 retrograde planets: 0.005 percent

Doing something physical will help a lot, especially with that Scorpio Mars.
A long, brisk walk or jog outdoors would probably be great for you since it would combine something physical with being in nature. Plus, it's solitary.
I need alone time every day or I get stressed out, and one way I'm always able to get it is through exercise.

** Go and walk the earth, etc **
what ~ hippichick ~ said .. .. i prefer faster walks myself .. must be the gemini mars influence
at the end of the day .. exercise .. exercise any way you can ..

yay endorphins ! ..

swimming ..
long hikes in the country side ..
going mental on a drum kit ..
boxing a punching bag ..
roller skating .. ice skating
cycling

stroking and playing with a pet .. dog .. cat ..

and to some extent .. cooking ..
the aroma seems to take my mind off whatever is stressing me out ..

actually .. for on-the-spur-of -the-moment release from anger and stress ..
given that other options may or may not be viable ..
i've found a long hot shower does the trick ..

Massage was the first thing that came to mind. Singing would probably be good as well. Most of the above sounds good.

I fear this as well. I also have Mars in Scorpio. I don't normally have angry outbursts, so I think it'll freak people out if I do.

i reckon there's a good chance that ~ junity ~ be dealing with
a transit like t.Uranus square to the Sag moon .. which is feasable
given t.Uranus' position at the moment ..
and the need for 'living space' in the header post ..
an uranian transit be sure to stress out a fixed sign like taurus
be a good time to try something 'new' maybe ..
living with others can't be too easy when t.uranus almost dictates a need for personal space

btw : .. laughter is pretty good medicine ..

Taurus here too and I've been dealing with a similar thing. No space to myself, physically or mentally, most of the time. Plus being bombarded with stress after stress after stress. Deal with it as early as you can and don't get in my situation where my nerves are so onnnnnn edge!

Mistake number 1 is to relax with food. I've been doing that a lot and putting on weight.

Better is to get physical and do exercise. I'm planning to get back into that asap. I do walk and that's a good thing. So take up walking if you haven't already. Even better, go on a nature walk.

Pat a cat.

Drink chamomile tea.

Put lavender or rose oil in an oil burner.

Meditate.

Do diaphragmatic breathing. I've been learning to do this every day, since I was told that my breathing is shallow due to stress and I'm pretty much in a state of hyperventilation all day long.

Take a day off work.

Listen to relaxing music. I put a link to some in the Health & Healing forum.

Laugh!

Get cuddles from someone. Have the person you love totally pamper you and make an evening that's all about you.

Also I like going to the shops by myself and looking at clothes, then go to a cafe (again, by myself) and read a magazine while drinking a pot of tea. In this instance I say also get food.
