Hi, Guys, I hope you are familiar with this show. I am just sooooo "in love" with a main character- Gregory House. Even though he is a smart ass, rude, and obnoxious, but………….. He is incredibly appealing to me. His jokes are killing me. My question is: what Sun/Moon/Venus/Mars/Asc do you think Gregory House (not Hugh Laurie: love him too) is ? IP: Logged |

Awesome show.Hugh Laurie's chart... unknown birthtime, set at 12 noon, with a hypothetical Virgo ASC. He sure has the look of a Gemini. He also has a stellium in Leo, which is actually not so surprising in retrospect. House has a sh1tload of pride. He's bossy, immensely stubborn, enjoys being right, likes having the last word. He is also hyper-romantic and loyal---soft sensibilities which he keeps under wraps. A sure characteristic of the Lunar Leo is keeping emotional displays private, having too much pride to let anyone see him cry like a bebeee. In public, he can be quite loud, dramatic, and attention-getting, if only to be *ironic* (emphasis on the last phrase). But hey, we are talking about House and not Hugh Laurie... ummm... well... I'd say... - Def a 12th-house Saturn... he's self-isolating, is extremely cynical. http://www.astrologyweekly.com/learn-astrology/saturn-in-12th-house.php - Planets in the 6th and/or 12th houses. I want to say 10th, but I link the 10th with status, which he doesn't seem to care much about. - Merc square Pluto http://www.astrologyweekly.com/astrological-aspects/mercury-square-pluto.php - Uranus in the 1st??? Oddball. Doesn't give a sssh about what ppl think of him. Rebellious. Humanitarian. Holds fast to personal freedom. Also, sorry I strayed from yer question. I'm bad at guessing signs. I always feel like house placements and aspects can 'distort' sign energy so easily, so I'm terrible at differentiating and pinpointing. IP: Logged |

House has the same birthdate as Hugh Laurie June 11, 1959.I'd bet my head he has a Sag rising. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/012101.html But http://z9.invisionfree.com/HughLaurie/index.php?showtopic=7756

Haha, awesome!!!Hell I'm just happy he really has all those Leo placements. Venus/Mars conjunction sits right on my Moon/ASC. *edited to add Specifically for House, I would say 6/11/1959, Cleveland, OH, 10:15 pm. Check it out. Gives House a Cappy ASC with Saturn rising from the 12th. Sun in Gemini 6th Merc in Cancer 6th Venus/Mars/Uranus Leo in 7th Moon in Leo in 8th Pluto in Virgo in 8th Neptune in the 10th conj MC Jupiter in the 10th ------------- BBL with details... I'm all obsessive now. IP: Logged |

Hugh Laurie's great. http://youtube.com/watch?v=e0SXH5Y9PEc I haven't seen much of House, just some snippets here & there. But from what I've seen, I agree with teologist's assessment that he's a Leo Sun. I don't know which Mercury placement would be more sarcastic, Virgo or Cancer. But I'm gonna go with Scorpio Rising, Leo Sun, Virgo Moon, & Cancer Mercury. IP: Logged |

House's chart (or so I'm convinced)... it's easy to back up these placements with details from the show. Sun in the 6th: Workaholic. Supposedly a common placement for doctors, nurses, caretaker-type workers. House’s egotistical side is shown by the Moon/Venus/Mars in Leo, but at the end of the day, his true aims are to always be of service to ppl. He tries to come off all badass and uncaring, but his conscience and capacity for self-sacrifice---huge.Moon in the 8th: People with the Moon in 8th House are commonly born to parents who cannot function at an emotional level. With other planetary factors, this placement of the Moon can indicate the loss of a parent early in life in which the child is burdened by the bereaved parent’s emotional needs. Although acutely sensitive to the emotional states of others, people with the Moon in H8, who have had little practice in emotional expression early in their lives, tend to be inhibited and emotionally insecure in adult life. Unlike the Sun in this House, the Moon in H8 does not feel at ease in emotionally charged situations and although he may drive his own ill-defined needs underground and focus on those of partners and associates, he is more likely to attempt to evade emotional confrontation by concentrating on impersonal, outer-directed activities and go through life with his own emotional needs unrecognised and unacknowledged. Moon conjunct Pluto: You have very deep feelings, but sometimes it is difficult for you to talk about them with others. Your feelings are very important to you, and you are likely to react emotionally to every situation and person you meet. But when your emotions get in the way, it is difficult to see clearly what is happening. And your moods affect you so much that as they change, your personality changes accordingly. Moon conjunct Pluto shows that you love deeply and tenaciously. Once in love, you can be very possessive and extremely demanding. If you are rejected, you can be vindictive and callous, even toward the one you love. Mercury (in the 6th) sextile Pluto: You get totally involved in each new interest. Because you do not take any subject lightly, you learn a great deal about everything you study. Fortunately this aspect helps you look at matters logically as well as feel them out intuitively. Thus you reach a higher level of understanding than most people. This aspect favors careers in investigation, including criminal investigation and law enforcement; jobs that require ability in mechanics and repairing; and fields that require an understanding of human behavior. This aspect will help your career in another way, because you can convince people of your point of view without making them feel that you are pushing them around. Venus/Mars/Uranus in the 7th: Explains his turbulent relationship with Stacey. Is romantic and loyal, yet can’t stand it when anyone/thing impedes on his personal freedom. Venus/Mars conjunction in Leo makes him sexy as hell. Mars/Uranus explains why he’s so argumentative, unpredictable, shocking, and antagonistic with ppl. Jupiter in the 10th: Explains why Cuddy hasn’t fired his a$$ yet!!! Jupiter in H10 bodes well for advancement in life. In the house of Saturn, Jupiter is given discipline and staying power and so, provided the content of his work is perceived to be worthwhile, a person with this placement is usually happy to build a career. Like Venus, Jupiter in H10 gives lucky breaks and ease, both in dealing with and wielding authority. Unless Jupiter is afflicted, this planet in H10 indicates that the relationship with the Father was characterised by mutual trust and respect, and was a source of encouragement to the child. Saturn in the 12th: With Saturn in the 12th House a person tends to be haunted by the spectre of existentialism, the fear that existence is random and meaningless. Yet this placement is found in the charts of some of the most renowned spiritual luminaries. In H12, as in any other, Saturn rewards effort. People with this placement who strive to find a meaning for existence may come to great truths. People with Saturn in H12 are likely to have a parent who is a depressive or has a fearful, defeatist view of life. If not actively over-protected, the child is taught by example that existence is an intrinsically negative experience. Safety is sought in structure, both literally and metaphorically: there is a tendency to hold onto scientific truths and admit little that is not empirically provable. Many find talk of the ‘life beyond’ unnerving. Agoraphobia is also a common condition amongst people with Saturn in H12. Neptune in the 10th: Neptune in this house suggests that you will choose a career or profession having to do with service to others, often with little thought of reward, although you may be well rewarded. Whatever the profession, the major force that directs you will not be ambition but rather a sense of service and dedication. You should feel that you are working for a cause higher than yourself, whether it is serving or taking care of others in some way or working for an idea or faith. IP: Logged |

Wow! I can't believe you brought this up! A friend of mine gave me the dvds of season 1 and 2 this month and I've been watching an episode a day..lol. I love his character too. And of course I've also wondered about his chart. I was thinking he's got a Gemini/Scorpio combination. The Scorpio one is very obvious I guess. He's a healer, he get's obsessed with his cases, his ex-girlfriend, old enemies. He's vindictive, brilliand, rude, obsessed. Also a mystery to others. The Gemini one, well, he's easily bored, he can be very shallow, he can say the most insensitive things and he believes that everyone lies. IP: Logged | |
