Hope it;s ok to ask this

how fast do the planets move? Im interested in all of them, especially Jupiter

Jupiter is transiting my 3rd natal house now so I'm wondering when will it reach my 4th and 5th house. I have Venus in 4th and Mars and Moon conjunction in 5th. Must be a special time when tranisiting Jupiter conjuncts them right?

In my experience the degree to which one will feel a transiting planet has alot do do with alot of factors!!!

You have to analyze where Juipter is in your natal chart, how does he operate there, how active is he in your natal chart?

For example I feel Neptune, Jupiter and especially Uranus transits way more than Saturn...I barely feel the effects of Saturn transits, often I only notice them in hindsight, whereas some folks are under the spell of Saturn for quite a while. Neptune is my ruling planet and placed in my 12th hse natally, I feel this in my every day life, Jupiter is electrified by an oppo to my natal Uranus and Jup is in a stellium of mine in Aqua with Mars and Merc, so Uranus and Jupiter transits are often quite enlightening to me.

Jupiter takes approx. 12 years to round the chart, use an ephemeris to get the exact dates.

I love the study of transits!!!

Look for transits of the sun and moon and sometimes Mars to kick off an event that has been pending of a slower moving planet.

O, and it is fun, too, to look back to 12 years ago, when dealing with Jupiter transits, what was going on in your life at that time. Jupiter you can do this with because he rounds most people's charts several times in a lifetime and he is fast enough to watch his cycles, whereas Saturn and the rest of the slow movers are harder to do this with.

Again, an ephemeris can help you with exact dates of the past!!!

when transited my 10th house i took my first job and i had to work(study) really hard to estabilish a comfortable position, now i am happy i did focus on that and the results are GOOD
i am sooo glad now Saturn exited my 1st house, it was not good for my health...

Oh guys! Thanks for your responses

Hippichick, Neptune in 12th house, such a nice placement :) makes you psychic, spiritual I guess. Take it it's good that you can feel it then. My Venus, chart ruler is in my 4th house, but I cannot tell that I feel it :( which is a shame because it's a nice placement for Venus I heard. I can feel my nasty Venus/Saurn square though :(

Anyways, about Jupiter. As I understand it, if in my natal chart Jupiter receives a lot of aspects, then I will probably feel transiting Jupiter influence, right? But I thought it was the opposite :( I don't have any aspects to Jupiter in my natal chart, only sextile to Saturn and semi-sextile to Venus. I still want my special time to happen. I love Jupiter!

NeptuneLove, I know what you mean. I feel Saturn effects too. As soon as it entered my 11th house I've dealt with my old friend. Basically, I suddenly realised I don't need a friend like her, she wasn't a good one. An obvious work of Saturn here, isn't it? Also, I have Saturn squaring Moon, Venus and Mars in my natal so now transiting Saturn opposes them. One word - CRISIS. But I'm getting used to it. You know, what can I possibly do? Just sit and wait for these transits to end. I think Im doing ok now :)

SO, life's like a zebra: black and white stripes. I was hoping once my bad Saturn transits are past, maybe it's Jupiter's turn to patch up and make me happy. Who knows?

I too have Venus in the 4th 0 deg of Aries, but due to my Pisces sun, also in the 4th I really waver between a Aries and Pisces Venus---anyway, as far as 4th hse placement of Venus us concerned, I am in absuolte, magickal love with my home, cooking, making it enchanted, etc. If your Saturn aspects your Venus in sq maybe you are not able to express the 4th hse Venusian qualities as well.

Maybe when tJupiter conj your Venus, you can conciously use those energies to expand on the 4th hse Venus qualities that you desire! Just a thought!

Jupiter transits are not always so beneficient. Weight gain, over eating, over drinking, gambling, over spending, all kinds of over indulgences are possible, especially when nVenus is transited. Tho since Jupiter is SO futuristic, I think that one really could conciously use a Jupiter transit, wheather he is active in the natal chart or not, for empowerment, expansion in the area/planet of the chart being transited.

Going back to your origingal question, maybe some of the experts will pop in and lend opinion.

I remember, tho, in my studies and readings that one must first look to the qualities of the transiting planet in the natal chart when interpretating the transit possibilities, and experience has back this up for me, anyway.

My nSaturn is unaspected, hence like I said, really do not feel him that much, only very subliminally and unconciously.
