From Lisa Dale Miller ~
quote:
THIS FULL MOON in Gemini
Saturday, November 24, 2007
6:29am PST, 9:29am EST, 14:29 GMT/UT
1° Gemini 55'

We are what we think.
All that we are arises with our thoughts.
With our thoughts we make the world.
Speak or act with a pure mind
And happiness will follow you
As your shadow, unshakeable.

~ Buddha (from the Dhammapada, translated by Thomas Byron)

Gemini is usually thought of as a fast moving, light and airy sign; not too serious about anything yet always interested in everything. Gemini rules our thoughts and speech, and by extension, networking and sociability. Though this is generally a lighthearted and open-minded Full Moon-this year with Jupiter/Pluto conjunction in Sagittarius, Mercury in Scorpio, and a grand square between Sun, Moon, Saturn/South Node in Virgo and North Node in Pisces-opening up to the truth in a deeply transformative way will probably color any activities you may have planned for the evening. Don't be surprised if the most uttered word at your ritual is "why?"

The Full Moon in Gemini is supposed to be a time of freely speaking one's mind; but watch out, with overblown Jupiter conjunct ever-intense Pluto in Sagittarius and blunt Mercury in Scorpio, putting one's foot in one's mouth may be hard to avoid. On the other hand, these planets will create a tidal wave of humanitarian feelings right on schedule for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Remember, when diversity (Gemini) and communality (Sagittarius), meet revelation (Uranus in Pisces), generosity (Jupiter) and transformative thinking (Mercury in Scorpio), great things (Sun) can happen to transform (Pluto) a bleak and disconnected world (Neptune and Chiron in Aquarius).

The grand square of Sun/Moon/Saturn/Nodal Axis along with Mercury in Scorpio and Jupiter/Pluto in Sagittarius will challenge us to look fear straight in the eye and play with the possibility of changing our fixed ideas about how everything we think we believe is true. Think… meaning questioning the validity of our thoughts as truth; believe... meaning allowing the free-flowing energy of the Moon in Gemini to loosen our attachment to codified, dogmatic truths.

One great way to do this is to fill the room with a variety of viewpoints. Since Full Moons are celebratory events, it's a great time for a party. Invite a wide-ranging group of people and let them experience a diverse set of opinions and ideas while having fun. (Enjoy this time when hardened distinctions between red and blue seem have blurred a bit!) Or Gemini generally likes the lighter side of things. With Venus in Libra and Mars in Cancer, stick to a party centered on networking. Be a bit daring and create an event to share and expand knowledge; like a teach-in on a subject you wish to learn more about. Show an informative video or invite a live speaker. But above all, be social. Don't sit home in isolation.

Some of you may need a relief from family, which can be a minefield even in the best of times. Use this night to gather with people you trust and do a bit of deep sharing and healing work on old wounds. Work on healthy ways to communicate and take care of yourself in high-stress or uncomfortable situations.

The Gemini Full Moon is a great night to go through Christmas decorations or get busy making Yule logs for Solstice. Use the openness of a Gemini Full Moon and a Venus/Neptune trine to talk back to tradition by being free flowing and inventive. Get creative and let your mind run wild! What a great night to bake cookies and make presents. Bring out the craft materials, paints, exotic fabrics, papers, beads, and turn your ritual into a gift creating party! Try giving something made from the heart, or in Gemini lingo "gift that really communicates who you are."

Gemini rules writing and information. This is a great night to share in public something you have been working on in secret. A Full Moon in Gemini helps us feel like trying anything. So take a chance and get out to an open-mike performance or poetry reading. For those of you who are bit more shy, share your songs and stories with friends or loved ones. If you are far away from friends and family write that holiday, "I'll catch you up on everything that happened this year" letter or email.

But no matter how you decide to experience this Full Moon in Gemini, get out there and have some fun!

Why do I feel like the 'may put your foot in it' part applies to me? LOL!

I actually have a pretty good outlook in my transits for today... The full moon will be in my 2nd at around 9:30.. and a nice bunch of moon interplay... so my communication and ability to get on with others will be relatively good. Somehow, I'm sure, I can muff this up!!

This is an electrified Full Moon, no doubt
tUranus went Direct this morning -- here's an article from Linda Rose ( http://lindaroseknows.blogspot.com/2007/11/full-moon-uranus-direct-tomorrow.html ) dated Nov 23 ~
quote:
The moon is void-of course now.

Yesterday I said that the moon would be VOC (that don't-buy, don't-sign time when judgement is faulty and actions produce unexpected results) all day today. It actually began at 10:53am PST and doesn't go direct again until tomorrow morning at 6:30am PST- the exact moment that a full moon in Gemini reaches its peak. Sorry for the lack of exactitude but I rather doubt if you hard core shoppers who were planning to stay up all night waiting for Best Buy to open its doors this morning would been discouraged by this astrologer's instruction.

The power of thought is aptly described in the forward of a tiny book entitled As A Man Thinketh, in which the author James Allen states that "They themselves are makers of themselves" and "by virtue of the thoughts which they choose and encourage, that mind is the master weaver, both of the garment of character and the outer garment of consciousness, and they may have hitherto woven in ignorance and pain thay may now weave in enlightenment and happiness."

Note the words "choose" and "encourage". Most people think that our thoughts are an intrinsic part of us and that we can do nothing to control them. I beg to differ. Most thinking is habitual.

Tomorrow morning's full moon features the tense polarity of Sagittarius (SUN) and Gemini (MOON).
Gemini's mental realm is that of facts and information gathering. Sagittarius is the philosophical sign of broader truths. This lunation challenges our thinking and our perception of truth, compelling us to let go of mental rigidity and outworn beliefs.

Anyone born around Feb 24, May 24, or Aug 24 is directly affected. If you're having a birthday now, this one's for you.

More advanced: Scan your chart for planets in Sagittarius, Gemini, Pisces, or Virgo near 2 degrees. Which houses are these planets in? These life arenas are in the spotlight now.

Gemini is the sign of communication and this full moon is usually a good time to speak your mind. But not this time. Why?

1. Mercury the messenger planet is in Scorpio. Never one to mince words, Scorpio goes for the jugular. It's almost impossible to express yourself in balanced way now.

2. Jupiter is heading towards Pluto and they'll be conjunct on Dec 11. Translation: The energies are explosive. Some astrologers are calling this The Big Bang.

3. Aggressive Mars is retrograde in touchy Cancer, when asserting yourself is risky.

4. Unpredictable Uranus in Pisces (Water Gone Wild) goes DIRECT tomorrow at 2:16am PST, unleashing a pandora's box of pent-up emotional volatility.

Full moons are times of culmination. Use today to make decisions and bring mental matters to a conclusion. Anything that goes unresolved will carry over until the next full moon.

On a lighter note....bright green is the color for tomorrow. Especially in multi-colored prints, to satisfy restless Gemini's legendary penchant for variety.

I'll leave you with a couple of quotes from As A Man Thinketh:

"Your circumstances grow out of thought: every man knows who has for any length of time practiced self-control and self-purification, for he will have noticed that the alteration in his circumstance has been in exact ratio with his altered mental condition. So true is this that when a man earnestly applies himself to remedy the defects in his characer and makes swift and marked progress, he passes rapidly through a succession of vicissitudes."

Vicissitudes means good fortune, luck.

[**note: not necessarily, in my book!!
Definition:
1.a: the quality or state of being changeable : mutability
1.b: natural change or mutation visible in nature or in human affairs
2.a: a favorable or unfavorable event or situation that occurs by chance : a fluctuation of state or condition <the vicissitudes of daily life>
2.b: a difficulty or hardship attendant on a way of life, a career, or a course of action and usually beyond one's control
2.c: alternating change**]

"Doubts and fears should be rigorously excluded: they are disintegrating elements whick break up the straight line of effort, rendering it crooked, ineffectual, useless. Thoughts of doubt and fear never acomplish anything, and never can. They always lead to failure. Purpose, energy, power to do, and all strong thoughts cease when doubt and fear creep in. Thoughts allied fearlessly to purpose becomes creative force: he who knows this is ready to become something higher and stronger than a mere bundle of wavering thoughts and fluctuating sensations; he who does this is the conscious and intelligent wielder of his mental powers."

Change your thoughts, change your life.

Love that #4 "Water Gone Wild" thang for The Great Awakener!!
Uranus went direct at 14Pis46 at 2:16am PST, 5:16am EST, 10:16am GMT/UT.....

I REFUSE to go out and socialize.

Gemini moons fall in my 6th house, not a social house.

anybody have any mixed up communication last night? despite all warnings here in this thread i just had to go and try to talk about something with someone that i really shouldn't have. bad news is that it turned into a sort of misunderstanding just like how this article described, good news is it paved the way for great new insights and a whole new approach with this person!
