Sorry this is probably quite a basic question. But I need to clear it up for myself. So often I hear synastry discussion where there is only one Mars/Venus aspect, eg his Mars trine her Venus. But how much more complicated does it get when both partners' Mars and Venus are aspected, and how does it end up playing out? Which aspect is more prominent?I just discovered that my bf and I have the following (in addition to Venus conjunct Venus - wide orb though), and I'm confused about how it might play out: His Mars (Aquarius) trine my Venus (Gemini) My Mars (Pisces) square his Venus (Gemini). Does this mean that my Mars pretty much makes things difficult, or what? What's being activated and what's the most prominent energy? I know that Mars and Venus aspects should be pretty basic knowledge, but I'm having some slight trouble understanding how it works when aspects go both ways like this. Can anyone help? IP: Logged |

What degrees are the planets at? The closer aspects would be more noticeable. If the trine is at 0' and the square is at 5'.. you'll feel the trine more so. IP: Logged |

Ok, thanks. I'll take another look at that. Also does this mean that we relate to each other differently when it comes to Mars-Venus issues? eg His Mars has a different effect on my Venus than my Mars affects his Venus? Who feels what? IP: Logged |

Ok I just checked the orbs and there's barely any difference...My Mars squares his Venus by -4.35 His Mars trines my Venus by -4.05 So how do I interpet this? IP: Logged |

I will have a go-There is a strong attaction and a great deal of romantic potential for you both. But you may at times come on too strong for his liking (as the square is from your mars to his venus). I had this with my last b/f - it can make it hard to 'play it cool' on your part and sometimes as we know that is what gets our guys fired up and wanting us more! IP: Logged |

Hmm... interesting... yes, I can see that. I've had to tone it down a LOT... But I do wish sometimes that he would come on stronger to me. Could that be represented by the fact his Mars trines my Venus but it would be better if it was a square?IP: Logged |
