Tell me what you think shows a "liar" in a chart. I know that everyone lies sometimes, but I mean someone that lies a lot. Also, can you really tell how someone is going to look by looking at their chart?

- Afflicted Mercury in rough aspects with Jupiter, Neptune
- Mercury in mutable signs: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces
- Mercury in Scorpio(they have their own reasons.. *laughs*)
- Mercury in the 12th house
- Mercury in Retrograde
- ASC. in mutable signs
- If they are a mutable sign
- 12th house can be people who mask their real motives, esp. in Venus or Mars.. but usually thats when they mask love relationships(Venus) and their intentions(Mars)
- Moon in Pisces (this not so much as being a "liar" per se, but they identify with emotions and fantasies and therefore it's hard to convince them otherwise when you tell them the truth...)

It seems there are different kinds of lies.. which lie are you looking for?

It's my opinion that Astrology cannot conclusively tell either of these things by aspects/placements in your natal chart. Your very chart could be the chart of a mouse in your walls, or the Accounting firm downtown. There's nothing in there that says your human, what your sex is, or how you will react (due to early nurture and environment) to any given stimuli on your Life-Path. If you were a person prone to prevarication, and matured enough to cease the practice of dishonesy, there's little in the chart to indicate that either.

Just lies in general. Someone that lies a lot but not about little white lies. We all can tell little white lies. I have a couple of girls from my work that will say one thing and then do another. They will be one way with one person and different with another.

Wherever you find the 12th House in their chart, indicates an issue that is kept hidden from public knowledge or view. An issue they are uncomfortable with. They usually mask a secret or some activity. Hence, this is why this House is often called House of Secret Sorrows. If Venus is found in their 12th house, it means this person can have trouble with their love life, receiving love or being understood in love. If Mars is found in the 12th house, the person can be really good at suppressing their anger, hiding their motivations, or unable to assert themselves into direct action.

I've included Mercury in Scorpio because I believe this placement has their own reasons of lying. They are clever at it. It's a weird theory I have about Mercury in Scorpio because Scorpios are just a whole law unto themselves. *laughs* They didn't LIE about themselves, they just DECEIVED you instead. It's a weird manipulation some of them like to pull on, but in the end, the real fool turns out to be you -- never them. Remember they choose their words and meanings carefully to their own advantage.

Filling information out at ASTRO.COM can help you list some the major aspects within a person's chart. They also note whether or not, their planets are Direct, Stationary or Retrograde. It's right next to the planets on the "Personal Portrait" section.

Most pathological - Libra w/ moon in Aries.

Libra w/ moon in Leo. Pisces Asc.

My Dad. Leo w/ moon in Scorpio. Taurus Asc. Although I do have Neptune Opp. Sun.

Aries. For all their directness. They're quick with a lie.

Aries w/ moon in Taurus. Libra Asc.

People with planets in your 12th house, both Natal and Solar.

Moon in Gemini.

Cancer w/ moon in Aries.

Aquarius w/ moon in Libra.

.. a so-called friend of mine has a Virgo sun and Pisces moon.. the Pisces moon lets her believe thats shes telling the truth its insane (and she lies ALL the time, and about very serious things)

I see you basically already said that.. but I felt it needed to be reiterated..

I think what your asking for is a determination of when people are lying to YOU !!!

I propose that that would come out more in synastry than anything.

Perhaps bad mercury aspects between charts could indicate constant "misunderstandings", but I would argue the Magi view that Saturn is the ruler of deliberate deception , and therefore would point to bad Saturn aspects from someone elses chart (to yours) to indicate "purposeful deception for the purpose of manipulation"
