I wonder why the attracted wasn't clear from the start?

This sort of thing happens a lot with friends to me. I'll think they are not my sort of person and then get to know them.. and realize I actually really like them.

It hasn't happened with a guy though. Whenever I've been attracted to a guy it was there from the start - but love grows on me gradually..

It might be an Ascendant thing. Maybe his Ascendant was something that didn't draw your attention at all.. or had a negative impact initially - Then, as you got to know him - you saw other sides and felt attracted.

This happens to me with friends also.

There was a guy I couldn't stand, thought he was a nasty personality. Came to find out we had the same sun and moon sign. Out dads had the same sun, moms had the same sun too. And we were both closer to dad than mom. We became good friends.

It happens to me quite often.

But in my case it`s some sort of, mmph, selfdenial, I guess.

I think the attraction may be there from the very beginning, but for some reason it scares me, and so I go the opposite way, telling myself "I don`t like that guy!".

And then I start wondering, why I don`t like him and sometimes have to admit that I do, that it`s just "complicated".

This mostly happens when I feel a very strong surge of "anger" towards someone, who hasn`t done anything to me.

If I really don`t like someone, I usually are just indifferent and rather detached, but you can tell, if someone makes me angry and gets my blood boiling through his mere presence, there is "something there".

I guess it must be my Venus in Capricorn square Pluto - painful.

Maybe opposites and some harmonious aspects are involved?

My current love and I have opposing ASCs(Sag/Gem) and opposing Venus(Libra/Aries), but there are trines in other places in our charts. Our moons(Taurus/Cap) trine and our Mars(cusp of Virgo-Libra/Taurus) trines.

In the beginning I had to bat him away because I had someone else on the horizon, but then I fell hard after finding out he was sweet, artistic and very fun.

The people I am like that with are all Libra suns. I mistake them for Tauruses and give up on them. Then I discover they are Librans and say "they aren't so bad after all!"

I obviously have some bad experiences w/ Taurus suns.

I have Libra rising.

It's happened to me with a guy. Where at first I was completly turned off by him and liked him ALOT after getting to know him. It turns out he has his moon conjunct my sun. Both of us have sun, mercury, and venus in Venus ruled signs.

Oh YES!!!

The love of my life(so far) turns out to be an Aries guy I met in high school.

I couldn't STAND HIM!!! He was very "typical" Aries guy - outgoing, flirty, "fresh", loud, obnoxious, too silly, not serious enough about anything except getting his way, pushy, etc. I was a "typical" Virgo - very booksmart but akward socially, shy, kind of popular anyway just because I was nice, more serious than silly, etc.

We seemed to get along and have amazing conversations when we were on the phone, but in person he would get all "fresh" and try to bump into me by accident, or "accidentally" end up touching my behind or being pressed up against me.

As time went on I became more comfortable with him and he toned down how outwardly pushy and flirty he was with me.

He became my first love and we've been in and out of contact with each other for over 15 years now.

The same spark, attraction, and love is still there as it was 15 years ago.

Recently I found out that my moon is conjuct to his Sun & Venus within 2 degrees among other linkages.

Crazy.

Do you mean disliking people at first and then later developing strong positive feelings for them? Or do you mean being indifferent to someone at first and then developing intense feelings for them?

The first rarely ever happens with me, even with friendships. I don't instantly dislike many people though. Most people go in the "eh" category and over time I'll develop a stronger reaction to them. My feelings for the ones who I instantly like or dislike almost always stay the same.

The second has happened a few times, but usually only in relationships with an inherent distance between us, either because they're an authority figure (teacher) or I don't know them (celebrity). The barrier delays me feeling how they impact me.

But with social relationships (friendship, love), my intense feelings are there from the start or don't ever happen. I think this may be due to my Scorpio Asc. I'll grow to like and care about people who I was indifferent to at first, but I instantly liked all the people who I'm really crazy about.

That only happened to me once, and it was with a girl who has now become a friend. The first time I met her, I had a huge reaction to her and instantly disliked her. The next time I saw her (2 days later) I thought "Am I crazy? I LOVE this girl!"

I have no clue why that happened but I did find it odd. And now I totally adore her.
