okay so blue roamer, you are right about us in the negative expression potential as i said.. BUT.. i think the weird thing, part of the paradox is, that the reason we are humanitarian *as well as* emotionally out of it is because we are so painfully aware that EVERYONE wants and needs pure love and that we are all stuck in these patterns on our way to trying to get there.. and i think AQUARIANS are so able to see these patterns that we get stuck in them the level of patterns themselves, meaning, in our heads, in intellecualizing and understanding (or trying to understand) them. so, that is why we are peaceful on the one hand because drama of emotions isn't as alluring.. BUT we do also miss out on intimacy too. so it is hard to balance. but it ain't wrong.

and it makes sense that that would be alluring.. it is similar to cancer or scorpio only instead of the instinctive emotional reaction, we just tune out and think some more.. in some ways this is similar to capricorn as well.

but honestly, even though it might not seem like it, it is to protect ourselves. or others.

Yes - Aquarians are indeed haunting, in my opinion.

I am not an Aquarius Sun - instead I am an Aquarius Moon with a hardly aspected, singleton Uranus. I also have my Sun, Chiron and North Node in the 11th house, so I have a LOT of Aquarian energy going on. I hope that you Aqua's will allow me to speak from the point of view of one myself!

The Aquarians that I know of, for all there independence and bright ideas, actually need damn well looking after! I don't mean this in a patronizing way, I just mean that for every good point each of the 12 signs possess, there is a flaw to match it. In the case of Aquarians, they are intelligent and humanitarian but they fall down when it comes to being in touch with their emotions. Deep emotions scare them ******** , (I'd imagine that Pluto and Neptune transits would make them feel like they are literally drowning!), but that's not to say that they don't feel them. No. Aquarians feel emotions as deeply as the next person - maybe even deeper - who knows?! But they feel extremely uneasy with these deep emotions and don't know what to do about them . So they shut off. Being cool and logical about things is what Aquarian's do best. Living in their heads is so much less messy than having to deal with what their hearts are telling them to do. And this is a real burden for the Aquarian, because the emotions are still there, buried deep down, hence they will always be haunted because how they truly feel hardly ever gets expressed. This is such a shame for the people that know them closely because they do get hurt and wonder why they've been shut out. But something in them knows that the Aqua is not a bad person - more like a sad one.

Aquarians do honestly prefer living up in their heads - there's no doubt about it - it makes for an easier, more practical life. I don't know why the idea of spilling their guts out is so unappealing that it makes them hide away, because this sadly, stunts their emotional growth. It could be a control thing - Aqua's can be more control freaky than a Virgo in a dirty kitchen!!! It's also a trust thing. Aqaurian's love humanity - they love people! But I bet you any money that they despise humanity - and people, just as much!!! It's a double edged sword.... This is why I said before, that they needed looking after! As self sufficient as every Aqua will be in most ways, they do need that special someone in their lives to guide them when it comes to getting in touch with what they really feel. It just takes an age and a half for them to let that special person in!!! But most of them do get there in the end!!! It's their life lesson.....

Another thing that really gets to me actually, is when people say that Aquarian's aren't particularly passionate in the bedroom and they often get the worst rep in bed. That's bull. Whilst it's true that the Water bearer can usually think of more productive ways to spend their time than shagging all day (they like to have a finger in every pie and no I don't mean that disgustingly!!!), when they finally let go and make lurrrrrve, that's when all that pent up emotion comes to the fore and that, my friends, is haunting.....

hey taurus/gemini,

hmmm.. i think you are right about sex and passion. i think we express the feelings in bursts and unusual ways.. but i do like to see the most positive in everything and not think that aquarians are somehow emotionally underdeveloped or screwed up. we have our gifts and there are certain sacrifices that are necessary. ideally there is a balance that is good enough. but then again i have dated an aquarian who was a control freak and so stoic it drove me nuts. so i understand it from the other side too. i think you're right that we need, ideally, a partner who can help us get in touch with our feelings and feel SAFE in them. it's a long twisty hallway between our consciousness and our emotional centers and having someone yell at you to come out isn't gonna make it that tempting.. but for those who will bravely enter and tolerate all the weird decorations on the walls of the halls, well, for them we will let the water flow..

Hey heartcakes! What part of Canada do you hail from? I'm going to Toronto for New Years and I can't wait!!!

You're right - living in either your head or your heart ALL the time isn't right - there has to be a balance! And NO sign ever quite gets that balance right all the time!!! If Aquarians or Gemini's are wrong for living in their heads all the time then so are Scorpios, Arians and Cancerians for almost always living in their hearts. There's no wrong or right - there just is.....

I, for one adore Aquarians! I'm surrounded by them and they're the sign I get on best with only after other Taureans!!! Aqua's were put on this planet to liven things up and you know what? Every single one of them is different!!!

it's funny cuz i have modes. i'm a taurus moon in the 4th and when i'm in a relationship i'm SUPER emotional. but it's weird for me so i often escape into my aquariusness cuz i get scared!! but with most people i hardly show emotion at all (though i do feel a lot). i mean, i am very friendly but i do not let people in too deep..

i'm gonna hush now (dang mercury conjunct mars) and let other people talk

Hey that's so weird that you're a Taurus moon!!! That makes us an opposite combo - me Taurus Sun/Aqua moon and you Aqua Sun/Taurus moon!!! How mad!

It's a tricky business being a combination of the most grounded sign and the least grounded sign isn't it, lol?!

And talk away - I enjoy reading your posts!!!
