It's hard to say with the Vertex. The one thing that most astrologers seem to agree on is that it has to do with timing and bringing significant people into your life.

The other side of that coin is that many say there's a "be careful what you wish for" aspect to it. Kinda makes ya wonder!

I looked for a thread that DarkDreamer listed some great info about research done on transits/progressions and can't find it. Maybe if she stops in, she'll be able to link ya to it! The astrologer is Paul Westran and here is a link to a sample of how he uses progressions.

I've been looking at the progressions a bit more thanks to the links you just gave me, and found some fascinating things.

eg my progressed sun and Mercury conjunct his natal sun and Mercury

Both our progressed Venus, in Cancer, exactly conjunct!!!

My progressed Mercury conjunct his natal Juno.

His progressed vertex conjunct his natal Part of Marriage, natal Pallas, and my natal sun!

Both our progressed Venus conjunct my progressed DSC.
His progressed ASC conjunct my natal Juno.

Currently I am experiencing the same thing: It is my NN conjunct his VERTEX - which, in our case, also means his VERTEX opp. my VENUS (since my VENUS is cj. my SN).

I agree with the impression that there is a certain feel of "urgency" in the air, as if it was unavoidable that we met - although that meeting happened under weird circumstances! And all grew intense in a very fast way.

In fact, our meeting has lead to a few remarkable changes - in HIS life/lifestyle. For me ... I am not that happy, at least not at the moment. I feel I have a lot of "work" to do here, have to "bear" or "stand" a lot, be very patient and understanding and humble ... I feel I "helped him" a lot - but the other way round ... I'm not so sure. I feel that he has "won" more than I have.

There is something compelling about our being together - but at the moment I don't see it as a "fair game" or: not very "equal".

I thought about what you have posted there. In my case ... it could mean that I'd have to learn to "let lose" more - mentally and emotionally. NOT to be so "controlling" and "picky".

My SN is cj my VENUS in 9th house - which tends to make me overcritical and judgemental and a bit of a "know-it-all" in matters of love and asthetics.

My NN in Pisces in my 3rd house - conjunct that guy's VERTEX ... could mean that I have to learn to be more sensitive, tolerant, easy going and to develop more "softness".

Meeting him (meeting his "VERTEX") then could hold a valuable lesson for me? Like: Becoming a "softer" person, somehow? Giving up my "controlling" and "discriminating" urges in favour of more compassion???
