This past week 2 of my friends lost close relationships. 1 of them was engaged and the other was living with her man.

Girl #1 - Virgo Rising, Pisces Sun/Aqua Moon
Her BF: Virgo Sun

Girl #2 - Virgo Sun/Cap Moon

I am contemplating breaking up.
Him: Virgo Rising/Scorp Sun/Sag moon
Me: Gem rising/Cap Sun/Cancer Moon
Our Composite - Cancer Rising/Sag Sun/Virgo Moon

Anyone else see a pattern here? Know any couples that broke up recently or having big conflicts?
What transits usually trigger breakups?

Hi, my name is Cathy, I live in Greece. I just broke up with my boyfriend: I am an aries, he is a cancerian. I have a lot of virgo(the moon in virgo,Uraniun in virgo,Pluto in virgo). I talked to 2 different astrologers who told me that "xronos"( i don`t know the translation in English) is passing through Virgo and Xronos finishes everything that doesn`t have a "right" base, or that is not supposed to be. I am suffering a lot and I wish this wasn`t teminal.
What planet is "xronos" and what are his characteristics?
Is that an absolute break up?

One here, breakup also.
Yep, Mars retro made mess...but after he goes direct, some relationship can fix again.
Usual transits for breakup? Hmm...from my experience and ppl around me, there are 4 strongest:

Uranus opposition Saturn
Saturn square/opp. Venus
Saturn square Uranus
Saturn-Moon transits
Tr. NN can make mess also + many other. There has to be combination of these, 1 cannot make breakup.

Yep, it`s Saturn the terminator
It was on my Sun at 5 degrees, now exactly conjuncts my Mercury

Yes, just looked at the dictionary. SATURN.
It cleans up everything. Is it terminal?I heard that it can cause even death!(In case of sickness), and it is opposite Neptune (which I think is the planet of cancer).
Help!
Please, someone tell me it is not the END!!!

Oh no, i didn`t mean to be fatalistic, Saturn is or will be trining your Sun and making a sextile to you Moon, i think...
Saturn can be really rewarding if you did your job well and he feels good in Virgo.

quote:
THE tendency to give every Saturn transit a fateful interpretation is completely unfounded; as many Saturn transits are harmless and at times beneficial. The transits of Saturn over its own radical position, or in opposition or square to this position, usually correspond to developmental crises, signifying the end of one phase and the beginning of a new one, which in general takes a duration of roughly seven year periods, which however, do not necessarily have to be connected with Saturn’s transit over the Sun’s position or over planet clusters in one Sign as well. Saturn transits can only then be termed critical, when Saturn is moving very slowly or is stationary or posited in a constellation making a mutual exchange with other critical constellation.

Sorry, but I didn`t understand.
What is saturn doing now? I think it is passing sloooooowly through virgo(i`m not an astrologer). If I did my job well? U mean work? Who should feel cofortable? Saturn? What about ME?

My best friend and her boyfriend have been doing well up until yesterday - she caught him in a lie (bad Scorpio!) and now it's rocky again. Hmm...

ive been feeling pretty awful too these past weeks - im a Virgo Sun with Libra AC and my bf is a Libra Sun with Cancer AC

Mars retro is doin bad to us but as individuals - its on his NN and skuares his Sun/Moon and MC

So he´s feeling so frustrated with himself, his job and emotions -

T Saturn is skuaring his Mars- so again, his energy being somehow blocked ans restricted.

Retro Mars is skuaring my AC - awful feeling for me yup- and its skuaring my MC also..not only that and also Saturn is right into my SUN exact...

So..what to say here? That these are hard times and everyone feels depressed, blocked and restrained.Energies flow the way it shouldnt and we only become aware of that after the damage was done.

Me and my Bf have been dealing with this and we will jump out of it even better - and stronger together! It´s how it should be.

The Hard transits makes us get rid of what doesnt make us happy but also makes us fight for what we believe and get better persons by that same fights Life presents to us

If a realtionship is ending now-it may return after the storm, but only if it´s for our best.
If not, then, the Story was made and all will take its course

Cathy i am not faliliar with Xronos very well..i think its a Greek asteroid isnt it? Might also have to do with the asteroid karma, like if had the same effect?

I am a Virgo Sun with Virgo Venus... Well, everything is going well except relationships in my life, but you know what...? I just don't give a damn. I am laughing as I write this.

I usually panic when my career is in the dumps, and relationships... well, they are so out of my control that I really can not worry too much because worrying about transits messing with my relationship is like trying to control the weather... That is if transits can break relationships up... and I don't think they can.

Think of those couples who have been married for decades... Weren't there strenuous transits during their relationship? Yes... but they didn't break up... Instead they toughed it out, worked through it and emerged wiser, and victorious.

So, a transit can't really twist your arm into doing anything. I think transits come along to ring the alarm about things that should have been noticed and addressed long time ago, things that were ignored that have festered.

So, in reality, tough transits are a gift, an opportunity for people to review and redo, a second chance.

I think I remember reading somewhere that when eclipses occur their effects can be felt for 6 months after the fact. The eclipses we had this past August and September were in Virgo/Pisces so perhaps that's adding to it? There was a total lunar eclipse at 4 degrees Pisces on August 28th and a partial solar eclipse at 18 degrees Virgo on September 11th.

I think Azkalash had a thread up about that, but I could be mistaken.

This is what I found in terms of the lasting effects of an eclipse:

"Astrology defines the lasting effects of an eclipse by its duration. The general rule for the duration of a lunar eclipse is that its effects lasts in months as long as it does in hours, up to 6 months. The general rule for a solar eclipse is that its effects lasts as long in years as is does in hours, up to 3 ½ years on average. Astrological research has proven that the effects of an eclipse can influence your circumstances permanently."

I forgot about the Eclipses. I think that definitely is a factor.

"tough transits are a gift, an opportunity for people to review and redo, a second chance."

Thanks for the reminder. I been so negative lately.

Yep...6 year relationship just ended.

My sun is 12 degrees Cancer - thankyou Mars!
Or is it Saturn exactly conjuncting my 5th house Pluto which rules my 8th house.
Or is it Neptune which is less than 1 degree of opposing my 4th house Venus which rules my 7th house.
At the moment I'm too sad to realise this probably had to happen.

Wait for March..then you can say it is over.
I said no more arguments with no woman this period...Mars can do what he wants in my 7th house (Cancer) but I don't buy it anymore...
Mars trines my Moon and Uranus at 10:00.

SweetCappie,

I really don't give damn about REdo, REwrite and etc.

Unmoved,
I am starting to laugh also.

What to REDO, when others don't want that?!? WHere is the point? I "frozen" all my contacts, I am not giving chance to Mars to make me a fool, I already made my part in November trying to REDO, but other person don't wants that.

I definately think it's saturn. All virgo's will see some changes.

Good point about the eclipses.Ya know, there's another one coming up in January - if I remember correctly, it will square my AC exactly. lucky me...

Retro Mars has influence to all signs and it is connected with last Lunar Eclipse.
No matter, there are no rules, I had great last Lunar and Solar eclipse, and still it gave me grim November and beginning of December.
